Cassandra Teaches Scarlett to Sew- Oneshot preview-
Scarlett sheepishly walked into the lounge, tears streaming down her face.
“Mama?”
Cassandra looked up from the book she was reading.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
“I hurt myself…”
“Come here, let me have a look.”
Scarlett sat next to Cassandra and showed her, her bleeding fingers.
“How did you do that?!” Cassandra asked, eyes wide.
Scarlett started sobbing.
“I tried to sew all by myself!” She cried, “I was trying to make a dress and it went all wrong!”
Cassandra scooped up Scarlett and took her into the bathroom to clean her up.
She washed the blood away, disinfected the wounds and put a bandage around the affected fingers.
“There, all better.”
Scarlett snuggled into her, still whimpering.
“Scarlett, look at me,” Cassandra said, gently.
Scarlett glanced up, her eyes full of shame.
“You must never touch my things without asking me, you know that. Like the weapon cabinet, the sewing box has very sharp things in it and as you found out, those things can hurt you.” Cassandra explained, “you also know that you shouldn’t take other people’s things without their permission, that’s stealing.”
Scarlett cried harder.
“Don’t send me to jail!”
Cassandra cringed. That probably wasn’t the best thing to say to a four year old.
“No, no, no, no, no! Little girls don’t go to jail. I just need you to ask me before you take something of mine, that’s all. But what’s more important is that you got hurt today, I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“But you don’t get hurt when you sew!”
“I do sometimes, but I have big, tough hands, so I don’t feel it as much. Your hands are very little and delicate just now, so if you get pricked by a needle it’s going to hurt a lot more. Do you understand?”
“Yes, mummy.”
Cassandra kissed Scarlett on the cheek.
“What do you say we sew together, huh? I’ll teach you how to do it properly without hurting your little fingers!”
“Yes! Can we make one of those huge ballgowns that Auntie Rapunzel wears? Can it be pink?”
Cassandra chuckled, as Scarlett jumped up and down.
“That might be a bit ambitious…how about a doll?”
“Oh yes! Can the doll have a big ballgown?”
“Sure! I think that should be pretty easy to do.”
Cassandra put a bunch of fabric, toy stuffing and her sewing box on her work desk. It was supposed to be strictly for important paperwork relating to her work as a specialist guard and self defence instructor, but she figured that teaching her daughter an important life skill was an exception.
Scarlett sat on Cassandra’s lap, watching intently as she laid out all the sewing supplies in front of them.
Cassandra drew a doll shape on one piece of fabric and then did the same on another.
“That’s the front and back of the doll.”
“Ohhh!”
“And now I’m going to cut them out.”
Scarlett watched as Cassandra gently cut around the pattern.
“Next, I’m going to show you how to thread a needle.”
Cassandra had expected Scarlett to get bored with sewing after the first five minutes but she seemed mesmerised by it.
“Do you want to have a go poking the needle through the fabric?”
Scarlett nodded and Cassandra quickly placed a thimble on her thumb.
“That’ll stop you from getting hurt but you’ve still got to be careful.”
Scarlett nodded, sticking her tongue out to the side and squinting her eyes, clearly concentrating very hard.
Once the needle was through the fabric, Cassandra gently guided Scarlett’s hand to where the next stitch needed to go and helped her poke it through.
Once the doll was finished, Cassandra decided to make multiple dresses for it, so Scarlett could pick which one she wanted the doll to wear.
By the time the first dress was finished, it
“I wanna do more sewing!” She complained, as Cassandra carried her into her bedroom.
“We’ll do some more later, it’s nap time now.”
Scarlett could barely keep her eyes open, as much as she hated to admit it. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
@frozenwolftemplar @twotangledsisters you might find this cute! 😊
“Goodnight Logan.” Virgil said as he walked into his room. “Goodnight Virgil,” Logan began “I had a satisfactory time tonight.” Virgil giggled “Same to you, Nerd.” Logan smiled and chuckled shaking his head.
As Logan turned around Virgil called “W-Wait Logan! ” “Yes V-“ Logan began as he turned back around, but he was cut off by Virgil’s lips against his.
Logan was too shocked to kiss back so he just stood there, eyes wide. Virgil pulled away and started freaking out “I-I’m so sorry Logan! I d-don’t know what I was thinking! I- I’m an idiot! I-“ “Virgil.” Logan said, voice stern but gentle. At least what he hoped was gentle.
Virgil looked at him biting his lip. Logan walked forward and wrapped one of his arms around Virgil’s waist, the other on Virgil’s cheek, pulling Virgil towards him. Virgil gasped softly as he locked eyes with Logan.
Logan looked at Virgil’s lips then back at his eyes silently asking him permission. Virgil nodded.
Logan had a lovesick look in his eyes as he gently pressed his lips against Virgil’s. Virgil kissed back, wrapping his arms around Logan’s neck.
They pulled away after about a minute, each of them panting slightly. “I- I’ve wanted to do that for quite some time.” Logan said, he still had the lovesick look on his face.
“D-Does this mean we’re a thing now?” Virgil asked his voice barely above a whisper. Logan smiled softly, oh how Virgil loved his smile. “If you want it to.” Virgil smiled closing his eyes “I-I love you L-Logan.” “I love you too Starlight.” Logan replied trying a nickname. Virgil blushed “S-Starlight ?” Logan blushed as well, “Y-Yes. Do you like it?” he asked nervously.
“I don’t like it.” Virgil said.
“O-Oh okay I-“
“I love it.” Virgil giggled softly, “I got you there didn’t I?” He asked with a smug look on his face. He looked very proud of himself. Logan chuckled “I should’ve seen that one coming.”

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Hamilton sits at his desk with a lone candle perched on the windowsill above his desk. He hunches forward slightly, his brows furrowing together and his eyes are narrowed as he presses his lips firmly together as he struggles to come up with the next line in his letter to Congress. He taps the feathered part of his quill agaisnt his chin, humming in thought. Hamilton huffs out a breath and leans back agaisnt his chair, groaning with frustration as he runs a hand through his unruly red-brownish curls and gazes out the window.
His heart stops.
Before him, Hamilton could see small, light flurries fluttering down before him. He sees his reflection faintly in the glass window in his shared room which he shares with his beloved Lieutenant Colonel John Laurens here in Valley Forge. The ground before him covered in white blanket of snow. Hamilton smiles to himself as he finally sets his quill down and rests his folded arms on his desk as he watches the snow fall before him.
It's breathtaking, Hamilton must admit. Truthfully, Hamilton has never seen snow before with what his traumatic background in the Caribbean. Hamilton wishes his mother could be here with him, beside him perhaps, to watch the breathtaking view.
"Even in the rages of war," Hamilton whispers to himself. "There's always beauty in the darkness..."
Hamilton's smile fades a little as he thinks about his mother. He swallows hard, as he remembers clearly his younger self waking to a corpse beside him. Hamilton winces as he remembers his own cries, as he remembers the hurricane, as he remembers his cousin's death. Hamilton growls low and shakes his head, gripping the quill tighter. He closes his eyes and breaths out once, twice before slowly opening his eyes again.
"No, I musn't think like that," Hamilton scolds himself. He glances up at the window. "I'm here...I'm a Lieutenant Colonel now...an aide-de-camp to General Washington now...I'm alive...and I should be grateful for that..."
Hamilton swallows as he licks his dry, chapped lips. His lips dry from the lack of kisses from his dear Laurens, who was sent with Tench Tilghman and the Marquis de Lafayette on a mission some hours before.
Hamilton sighs as massges his aching neck before continuing to write his letter, occasionally dipping his quill into the inkpot and scribbles away.
Hamilton doesn't know how long its been since he began working, but it must have been some hours later into the night for the sky is dark, almsot pitch-black. He could hardly see the white snow on the ground. Just as Hamilton is about to dip his quill into the ink pot again, he hears a tap against his door.
Hamilton yelps with surprise as he jolts up from his seat, his knee knocking under the table and the chair collapsing behind him onto the floor with a thud. The ink pot nearly tipping over. He whips his head around to find his beautiful Laurens standing before him, his arms crossed over his chest as he leans against the doorframe, his head resting on it and a small smile appears on his face. His honey-blonde hair pulled back into the tradition braid, a black tricorn on his head, and he wears his Continental uniform while Hamilton only wears his night shirt and breeches, his cravat loose and his red-brownish hair surrounding his face in a sea of red.
Hamilton sighs with relief when he sees his Laurens alive. He feels all his worries float away as he slowly walks up to him at the same time Laurens marches towards him, closing the door behind him and making sure its locked. Laurens takes off his tricorn hat and set it on the bed nearby and smiles as he slides his hands down towards Hamilton’s hips and grips them to pull Hamilton towards him so their chests are nearly touching. Hamilton giggles as he rests his hands on Laurens’s lapels as Laurens leans down to press his lips to Hamilton’s.
After a few minutes, Hamilton unfortunately has to pull away from Laurens for a breath of air and Laurens tips his head down so he could rest his forehead against Hamilton’s, the tips of their noses nudging agaisnt each other. Hamilton giggles again as he kisses Laurens once more.
“I see you’ve returned to me from your mission,” Hamilton whispers, tracing the crook of Laurens’s jaw with his index finger.
Laurens hums as he breathes in the familiar scent of his Hamilton, pressing one more kiss to Hamilton’s lips. “Hmm...I have...earlier than I’d expected too.”
“Well, that doesn’t matter,” Hamilton whispers, tipping his head up to meet Laurens’s eyes. “What matters is that you’re home. You’re home, my love.”
Laurens scoffs. “Home.” A pause. “I missed you.”
Hamilton smiles wide and giggles adorably once more. Laurens’s heart flutters.
“I missed you as well, Jack.”
“How long have you been awake, Alexander?” Laurens asks suddenly as he glances at the mess on Hamilton’s desk. His brows furrow with concern. “You look like you haven’t slept a minute.”
“Well, it’s kind of hard to sleep when you’re out on the field and I’m locked in here,” Hamilton confesses.
“Whatever do you mean, Hamilton?” Laurens says with a teasing grin and a fake offended look on his face.
“I know how reckless you can be, John,” Hamilton says. “I know how much you desire to be on the field rather than at a desk with pen and paper.” A pause. “Sometimes I feel as though you love the battles more than me...”
“That’s not true!” Laurens scoffs. “Yes, dear boy, I desire so much to be on the field with my sword rather than here but I love you more. I go on the field to protect you, Alexander. To protect this country. And if you are here, safe and away from harm, then that’s all that matters.”
Hamilton smiles up at Laurens softly, humming as he rests his head against Laurens’s chest and closes his eyes when he hears Laurens’s heart beating softly agaisnt his ear. Laurens sighs contently as he presses a kiss to Hamilton’s forehead before resting his cheek on top of Hamilton’s red curls. Hamilton snakes his arms around Laurens so they wrap around his back while Laurens rests his arms around the small of Hamilton’s back. Hamilton wishes he could stay with his Laurens like this forever.
“We should head to bed,” Laurens yawns. “It’s late and who knows what tomorrow may bring.”
Hamilton shakes his head, stubborn as ever. He lets go of Laurens and sits back down at his desk and grabs his quill to finish his letter. “You go on ahead, Jack, I’ll be there in a minute.”
Laurens huffs as he crosses his arms over his chest. “Alex--”
“I have to finish this before the courier arrives for tomorrow’s morning dispatch!” Hamilton protests.
“Alexander,” Laurens snaps in a chiding tone. “You need to let your body rest! Otherwise...you’ll overwork yourself and get ill again!”
Hamilton rolls his eyes, chuckling. “Oh, John. Relax! You’re just being paranoid. I’ll be fine.”
“Alexander, come back to sleep,” Laurens whines, as he shrugs off his uniform and walks over to Hamilton, his hands on Hamilton’s shoulders. “Take a break.”
“I’ll be there in a minute, love,” Hamilton snaps.
Laurens growls frustratingly and suddenly snatches Hamilton’s quill from his hand. Hamilton whips his head over his shoulder.
“Hey!” Hamilton shouts.
Laurens arches an eyebrow challingly, his quill high above Hamilton where he can’t reach it.
“Bed. Now,” Laurens growls as he lays down in the bed, patting the empty spot next to him.
“But John--”
“Bed!” Laurens snaps. “Now!”
Hamilton grumbles as he blows out the candle and straightens his mess, closing the blinds and reluctantly crawls into the bed beside Laurens. Laurens smiles triumphantly as he wraps his arms around Hamilton. Hamilton grumbles something under his breath annoyingly as he rests his head on Laurens’s bare chest. Laurens smiles wider and presses his lips to Hamilton’s brow.
“Thank you,” Laurens says, closing his eyes as he pulls Hamilton closer to him.
“You’re evil,” Hamilton grumbles as he pouts. “I hate you.”
Laurens laughs quietly. “Love you too.”
Laurens rolls onto his side, facing the wall, therefore causing Hamilton to lay outside him. Hamilton humphs as he inches closer so his cheek is pressed agasint Laurens’s back, his arms around Laurens’s waist and legs curled up beside him, the blankets draped up towards his chin. Laurens giggles, making Hamilton’s stomach twist, and Laurens glances down at his Hamilton. Who’s still pouting. Even in his sleep.
“Oh? Are you the big spoon, now?” Laurens chuckles.
“Shut up,” Hamilton hisses, eyes squeezed closed as he snuggles closer to Laurens as best he can. “I’m a knife.”
Laurens bursts out laughing, which causes Hamilton to grin against Laurens’s muscular back.
“Sure you are, dear boy,” Laurens laughs. “Sure you are...”
Laurens sighs as he finally closes his eyes, feeling loved and comforted and at peace now that he knows his Hamilton is safe and sound.
Prompt: You are a villain who kidnapped the smart guy on your nemesis team, but they tell you that nobody will come for them and that the hero doesn’t care. You didn’t believe them at first but it’s been a month and nobody shows up and after once again hearing them cry at night you had enough.
Their hands grip tightly to the white porcelain skin, trying to block out the terrible, soft sounds coming from down the hall. Zeplin glares at their reflection in the cracked mirror. They know the face staring back at them, the dark sunken eyes, the sharp jawline, and hollowed cheeks. Their thin and cracked lips perpetually in a scowl, the face of the villain. They recognize this face, they know who this face belongs to, but they do not know this face. It’s like they are seeing their own face for the first time or their insides do not match what they see looking back at them. But they blink, clear their head, and it’s gone.
The sniffling from down the hall brings makes Zeplin take in a deep breath. They clench their teeth and walk out of the bathroom. They knock on the door, politely, and enter the guest bedroom. The room is simple but nice enough. A queen-sized bed sits in the center with a fluffy white comforter on top. Two dark wood nightstands sit on either side of the bed and a small dark wooden desk sits under the windows. Contrary to popular belief, Zeplin does not throw their prisoners into the dungeon. They don’t even have a dungeon.
Their captive lays on her back on the floor with her arm spread out by her sides. Tears slide down the sides of her face and she sniffles loudly. Zeplin sits gracefully on the floor next to her and offers her the handkerchief from their pocket. It’s an offer of comfort, an offer to listen and the captive takes it.
“I knew that Strong Man wouldn’t come for me, I’m replaceable after all. But I thought that my parents would at least look for me. They haven’t even filed a police report! I’ve been looking for one to show up for weeks but nothing.”
Zeplin raises their eyebrow at that, not quite sure how she would be finding this information.
“Oh, yeah. Winston gave me a computer the second week I was here. But don’t worry, no one can track me from it.”
Zeplin offered to let her go the first week she was here. They never intended to keep her here for long. They were just hoping to lour out Strong Man but he refused to come. Frankly, they didn’t even think that he noticed she was missing. How someone could ever not notice her, Zeplin will never know. She is a spitfire, all fierce determination and strong-willed arguments, wrapped up in a girl with endless smiles and beautiful laughter.
She was never supposed to stay, but it has been a month now and Zeplin cannot seem to get rid of her. Not that they would ever admit to not wanting her to leave.
She sniffles one more time and wipes the tears from her face with Zeplin’s black handkerchief.
“Anyway, it’s just got me down today. It’s been a month since I’ve been here, since I’ve been missing. It just hurts to know that nobody cares.” Her voice breaks on the last bit and she covers her face with both hands.
Zeplin’s heart breaks for his captive. Even they have someone that would care if they went missing. Winston would search high and low until he found Zeplin. Winston is practically the father that Zeplin never had.
Zeplin gently raises her shaking hands and holds them tight in their own. They pull her up into a sitting position so that she is sitting cross-legged across from them. She looks a little shocked by the touch but does not pull back.
“Delilah,” Zeplin says with an air of reverence, “Clearly they are all assholes who don’t have a kind or caring bone in their bodies.” Delilah laughs softly. Caspian continues, “They don’t deserve you. And you deserve better.”
Caspian tucks a stray piece of her strawberry blond hair behind her ear and lifts her chin up so that she meets their eyes.
“I care, Delilah. I don’t know if I can give you better but I can start by offering you a job if you want it. You are clearly brilliant with computers and I am sad to say that I am still stuck in the dark ages so I could definitely use your help.”
Delilah stares with her mouth slightly agape, “You just offered me a job.”
“Umm, yes? I mean you don’t have to accept of course-” Before Zeplin can finish, Delilah is jumping into their arms and hugging them tightly.
Zeplin does not remember the last time they received a hug, if ever.
“Yes, of course, I accept! I would love to work for you!” Delilah screeches into their ear.
Zeplin wraps their arms a little tighter around her waist, soaking in the pleasure of her warmth and affection.
Delilah pulls back but does not leave Zeplin’s embrace. Their faces are close when she asks, “Does that mean I can’t stay here anymore? I mean since you are now my boss and all.”
“You are welcome in this home as long as you want to be here, little sunflower.”
Delilah smiles brightly, all thoughts of her tears long gone. “Thank you,” she whispers.
“I have to go tell Winston!” Delilah shrieks and stands up abruptly, running out of the room. Leaving Zeplin sitting on the floor.
"You are mine"
I really loved this cute oneshot. I was so happy to see that they found their way to each other without even knowing it and the effect they had on each other was amazing, those two really are perfect together. I loooove Teen Idol!Peeta and Teen fan!Katniss
AND THE MUFFIN REFERENCE WAS DAYYUM!
Faves:
1- “We’re all heading out to a club later. Wanna come?” Katniss met Johanna’s laughing stare with exasperation. “I didn’t think so. One day, you’re going to want someone to plow through that your garden, if you know what I mean. You’re never going to find a ‘gardener’ if you spent your nights at home!”
Katniss reached over to her desk and tossed her apron at the woman with a laugh.
“Back to work! And, anyway—whoever wants to get to this garden has to bring pruning shears and fertilizer.”
2- At 18, she became assistant manager when Lena got pregnant—thanks dad—and Lena and her dad got married.
3- “Maybe you can try asking again for my sake,” Lena urged, giving Katniss a quick wink. “Poor girl hasn’t been out in a while. I’m not really sure what’s going on with her…muffin.”
“Lena!” Katniss twirled around just in time to see Peeta covering his mouth so she wouldn’t see him laugh. “You are on thin ice, Peeta! Don’t you dare take her side.”
“I wouldn’t know much about your muffin…” Peeta’s eyes drifted downward toward her jeans. “…unless you’ll let me take both of you out for dinner.”
4- Finnick walked over to her and pulled her into a hug. “We don’t shake hands. We tell embarrassing stories.” She could already tell Peeta was giving him the finger based on Finnick’s booming laugh. “Let me tell you about the time that Peeta had diarrhea during a camping trip—”
“No, she’s already slept with him. Bathroom issues aren’t a big deal,” Annie said as they led Katniss into their house. There were still a lot of unopened boxes from their move but the large entryway was enough for her to know that it might take some time for them to get their home decorated. “How about when he got bit by that spider and we had to take him to the hospital with an ice pack on his ass?”
“I don’t know if that’s going to deter me,” Katniss told the couple. “He’s unbelievably cute.” Peeta took her hand, pulling her to his side. “Also, he knows how to butter my muffin.”
Finnick snorted, shaking his head at the two. “You two are perfect for one another.”
5- “Where the hell are your panties?” Peeta asked as she easily sunk unto his length.
He groaned and she tightened around him as they began to move in harsh eagerness, the door being used as solid foundation for a hard fuck.
“In my pocket,” she replied breathlessly, her eyes rolling back as he thrusted harshly, hitting her cervix just enough. “That way if you’re too loud, I can just stuff them into your mouth.”
6- Downstairs, Marvel and Johanna looked up at the dark-tinted windows of the office.
“Yes, Peeta! Fuck! I’m coming!”
Prim joined them, emerging from the back employee entrance as her eyes went up to the office windows as well.
“Do they know that the overhead speaker is on?” she asked, trying to keep her laughter in.
A loud moan punctured the air—Peeta.
Johanna shook her head. “Nope.” She took off her apron. “I’m clocking out early.”
7- Johanna was, not surprisingly, sitting on Cato’s lap. They had met when Katniss moved into Peeta’s apartment and spent two days in Johanna’s apartment, ‘purging’ her presence.
That’s what Johanna called it when she called in sick, anyway.
@jlalafics You said that "You are mine" is an original song written by you, did you or anyone ever sing it? I would love to hear it if you/someone did :D
Sweetlips and Innocent kisses (Kai Anderson x Chubby! Reader.)
Plot- You are part of Kai’s cult, and you (obviously) like him. After your first kill, you got cold feet and decided you didn't want to kill anyone. Kai didn’t want you to go so he got you to “work behind the scenes” setting everything up, fixing costumes etc.
The gang questioned your faith towards Kai, began calling you names and generally being horrible. You run off crying, and Kai stays behind yelling at everyone, going as far as killing one of them to send a message. He goes to your room and sits on your bed. He gives you lots of cuddles and kisses. Reassuring you that you are beautiful. (Which you all are)
TW- Name-calling, lots of swearing (I mean, it’s Kai), Violence, Murder. (Again. it’s Kai we are talking about here.) and Self-esteem issues.
This is also my first ever x Chubby! reader. So apologies if it isn’t the best.
