So, every few months I try and convince myself I can get way more strips done if I just made, basically, editable sprites of my art that I could manipulate like paper dolls to cover the "talking head" strips. And I come up with elaborate plans to create FILES of editable "Dee" and "Heidi" art with different expressions and arm poses, etc. I know plenty of GREAT cartoonists that work very economically, and I’ve used my fair share of cutting and pasting when it’s called for as well. This is NOT a condemnation of that, it’s a condemnation of myself. lol Because once I even consider it, I then end up writing and then drawing a bunch of wildly elaborate strips that require backgrounds and constant visual "acting" and make my job that much harder in response. Like I choose to artistically make my job harder for even considering making it easier. lol Really, this is like a frickin' sickness. I need help. lol
