Now with Sitri a thing, I can't help but imagine in the little brother/son au for Cyril with Byleth little bro Cyril being upset for Byleth and Jeralts behalfs during the DLC events especially when he hears how much Jeralt and Sitri love each other and Byleth resembling her. Adopted son Cyril calling Sitri grandma (and Jeralt grandpa) as he leaves and cleans Sitri and Jeralts shared graves stones during the time skip telling them about what's been up and how he knows Byleth will come back

Oh oh oh, and Cyril hearing all these stories about Sitri and Jeralt and then watching Byleth and Claude post time skip and it just clicks in his head before it does for anyone else and now Cyril is basically wing man #1, makes sure they end up alone more often than not and drops some unsubtle hints. Every day they don't get it he complains to Jeralt and Sitri and it's like they're actually there. They may be dead but somehow they're still his only allies in this xD

One of the things that annoys me/bugs me about the first part of CF route is that you can’t give Hilda any of her lost items until the last month and that you can’t recruit/even ask for mission assistance for Cyril! I understand why but it kinda makes one suspicious and it feels weird that you can recruit them at any time in the other routes.

I think for Hilda it's because it's implied that she doesn't like Edie or at the very least feels uncomfortable around her so she doesn't want to switch houses. She doesn't mind Dimitri or the church so she joins with them if asked.

As for Cyril, if you don't know what happens on a Black Eagles run it's pretty suspicious but it also keeps you from wasting time and equipment so I'm ambivalent about this

Okay so imagine Cyril finally getting the nerve to call Lysithea an Almyran pet name and her replying with “No, that’s weird! That’s Claude’s nickname for the professor!” (thinking that it’s platonic) Cyril pauses and then explains that it’s the Almyran equivalent of “sweetheart.” There’s another pause as everything else clicks. (Cyril definitely finds another name to call her because she just looks SO pretty when she blushes like that.)

Oh this definitely happens

Cyril: im sorry, Claude calls the professor what now?

Lysithea: exactly what you just said but I can't pronounce it

Cyril: *deep breath* okay everything makes sense now

Lysithea: why, what does it mean?

Cyril: it's uh...a term of endearment...

Lysithea: yes, I got that but--

Cyril: between people in a relationship...

Lysithea: oh...

Cyril: yeah...

Lysithea: you're right this explains a lot of things

Cyril: right?!

if you don't get hanneman of linhardt to a support with lysithea Cyril holds them at gunpoint to remove her crests. bonus they'd do it anyway after they learn why she needs them gone but Cyril still does it

Cyril: I WILL SAVE YOU WITH THE POWER OF LOVE and this gun I found

Linhardt and Hanneman: just leave the saving to us, alright

Cyril: OK...

So with all the scary stories if Cyril is there he might pitch in and tell, though a small amount, about the cryptids and stories of Almyra. Everyone also gets freaked out (except for Merci and Hubert who are more intrigued then anything) while Claude is just smiling in the back trying not to die of laughter cause if he can't tell them he might as well enjoy someone else do it a watch the show.

He gets all the satisfaction from watching them freak out without risking his secret, that's right up his alley

I really lovet that Cyril and Ashe's ending is so pure in describing their relationship. A lot of the pairings are romantic (or ambiguously so) but there are some that are platonic and focus what they did together than their friendship. But then there's Ashe and Cyril where the friendship part was so important it specified. The endings are written like they're part of history books, so these two's friendship was so important to their lives it had to be written into history. I love them.

Flayn sees herself as Cyril's big sister, even after the timeskip. She's like the smol older sibling.

Flayn shoves a bunch of vegetables from her plate to Cyril's and tells him he has to eat them or he'll never grow tall

He reminds her that he's actually been taller than her for four fucking years
