This idiot would rather slam his pinkie multiple times against the leg of furniture than confess. Gintoki knows his crush will fade, that the pain and restless nights he suffers will end, time was able to scar way deeper wounds. If Gintoki decides to confess, it's just because he is so sure you are going to reject him. He is so sure of it, washing his face in cold water (he didn't pay the bill), repeating on the stained mirror that "Nothing can go wrong, just say it and get it over." Imagine the surprise on his face when you actually say you reciprocate his feelings. His throat get dry, his feet feel like they are made of cement, but maybe, he deludes himself, he heard wrong, it wouldn't be the first time his ears play dirty tricks on him. When you assure him that yes, you like him. No, it's not a joke. No, Takasugi didn't pay you to play such a wicked plan on a decent man (he actually called himself an honest person, but you didn't have the strength to say it back). The relationship is still an uphill climb. He probably isn't ready to be a good partner for a long while. Therefore, you'll need a godlike amount of patience.

But if you were the one confessing? "Mh? C-can you repeat? This chapter truly absorbed all my attention." This man lies as easily as he breathes. Gintoki would love to accept but also terrorised by the implications. May reject you just to have a disastrous fallout when you start interacting even more with Hijikata or even Madao. He has a thick skull, maybe just your pissed off words, and your equally hard head will be able to make him understand that this relationship will work if he just loves you back. And he does.

He often dreams of worlds made of parfait and rivers of strawberry milk. He is usually naked but has a big spoon so he can eat the mountains made of tiramisu and the strawberry parfait on top of trees. For some reason, he always carries napkins?? Gintoki doesn't know where they come from and doesn't bother finding out. His usually dead-fish eyes shine full of life, like a kid when receiving a gift.

Gintoki rarely dreams of his partner or other people he knows. Maybe just if he can eat them... not literally...

Absolutely even if at first he'd do what he does best: complain. "My arm is tingling" "You stink" "You are too warm" Gintoki makes up any excuse to grumble, but don't give too much weight to his words, he is just as happy to be stuck with you.

He tells you to read Jump for him because he is too lazy, but then he'll complain about you not acting well enough; a true pain. Kick his shin and he'll hard reset LMAO.

Too bad it was a package full of shit, a revenge for an ex-lover. Hijikata's face was hilarious, at least, while he tried to make Gintoki commit seppuku...
