ignoct (if youve already got this one, pick one of ur choice)
Okay so I did Ig/noct and Prompt/io (linked if you want to read!) which are my two ships for XV. So let’s see…. You’ve asked me about dragon age before so I’ll do my inquistor and Dorian? Is that okay? If not, shoot me another ask and I’ll do whatever ship you choose!
Gives nose/forehead kissesDorian is quite fond of giving both of these and Mahon is just as fond of receiving them. Mahon is more of a lips/jaw/cheek guy when it comes to giving Dorian kisses, so the nose and forehead are normally left to Dorian. It helps that Dorian is taller.
Gets jealous the mostBoth of them really, especially with Dorian being in Tevinter. They are both worried that the other one will find someone else. Mahon thinks Dorian is ridiculous for thinking that - especially since he’s in the same city as Rilienus. Dorian doesn’t see how Mahon doesn’t realize how desired he is - he’s the Inquisitor and he would get propositioned when Dorian was right there. Mahon suffers from the jealousy more though, I think. If he visits Dorian they don’t act like a couple like they do at Skyhold. He knows he shouldn’t take it personally because they’re in Tevinter so the rules are different here, but he does.
Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to driveIt isn’t really driving, but Dorian is the one that needs to be picked up from the tavern and taken back to his/their room (depending on the timeline of events). Mahon rarely gets drunk, so it’s not often that he’s the one needing to be picked up.
Takes care of on sick daysDorian gets sick more than Mahon and Mahon is always there to help him get better. He doesn’t often use his Inquisitor status to get things, but he does when Dorian is sick. He’ll get the kitchen to make special meals and he’ll have things delivered straight to his room so he doesn’t have to leave Dorian’s side. Dorian requires a lot of attention when he’s sick (he was a spoiled, rich child let’s not forget) and Mahon is more than happy to give it to him.
Drags the other person out into the water on beach dayMahon loves the water and loves the beach. Mahon loves the outdoors - it’s where he’s lived for the majority of his life. Dorian, however, hates the water, hates the beach. He doesn’t like how windy it is out there - he puts a lot of work into the he looks, thank you very much. It doesn’t just take Mahon dragging him to the water, Mahon has to drag him to the beach in general and he doesn’t always get Dorian to the water. If there’s a beach day, Dorian is relaxing in the shade, just barely on the beach, in the company of Madam Vivienne. If Mahon is particularly insistent (I’m talking bedroom favors and the like) Dorian will join him in the water. Sometimes Vivienne pushes Dorian to go with him because, “It will make him so happy, darling. Don’t you want to see your paramour happy?”
Gives unprompted massagesMahon loves to massage Dorian. He loves the way Dorian relaxes under his hands and his pleasant sighs when Mahon gets a particularly good spot. He likes when Dorian sits in front of him so he can relax against Mahon’s legs while Mahon works his fingers into Dorian’s shoulders. Dorian is way more tense than he lets on and Mahon likes to be the one that’s trusted to work that tension away.
Drives/rides shotgunGoing to tweak this one for the world… If they share a mount, Mahon is always in front. Dorian is completely fine with wrapping his arms around Mahon’s waist and holding him while they ride. Plus it’s a huge bonus to see the look of freedom on Mahon’s face - he looks truly happy, instead of weighed down by all his Inquisitor responsibilities.
Brings the other lunch at workDorian likes to bring Mahon lunch, especially after Mahon returns from a trip outside of Skyhold. He’ll arrive and lean against the wall and say, “Ready to be distracted?” Mahon always tells him he has to work, Dorian, but he never wins. They sit for hours and talk and eat and sometimes their clothes might come off.
Has the better parental relationshipMahon didn’t really know his parents. They were killed by slavers when he was young so he doesn’t have any memories of them. And we all know about Dorian’s situation so… neither of them have a good relationship with their parents.
Tries to start role-playing in bedOh definitely Dorian. Mahon had never really experimented with anything like that before. They were talking about their sex life once and Dorian couldn’t believe how vanilla Mahon’s sex life was. Mahon was never bothered by it because he liked the sex he had. Dorian shook his head and insisted they try something new. Mahon wasn’t a fan, but Dorian seemed to enjoy it so he goes along with it every now and then.
Embarrassingly drunk dancerStill Dorian. Mahon doesn’t drink much already and when he does, he definitely doesn’t dance. Mahon just starts talking when he’s drunk. Dorian is active and dances. Mahon finally gets to see that dance with the silk scarves - it’s not super graceful but still sexy as hell. He gets Dorian to do it again for him when he’s sober.
Still cries watching Titanic
Firmly believes in couples costumes
Breaks the expensive gift rule during ChristmasDorian, although not necessarily Christmas. Just any sort of gift giving holiday, Dorian over spends and buys Mahon something too big that he doesn’t need or something he can afford on his own. Dorian insists that he has expensive taste and wants to give Mahon a glimpse of that but really it’s because he wants people to see the things he gives the Inquisitor so that maybe people won’t whisper about Mahon using his money, influence and power for Dorian without anything in return.
Makes the other eat breakfastMahon is an early riser. Dorian is not. He likes to bring Dorian breakfast in bed if he can.
Remembers anniversariesThey both remember and they are both equally excited to celebrate. Mahon likes having a day that’s theirs and Dorian likes being reminded that he and Mahon are actually in love and he still can’t believe it.
Brings up having kidsI’m not sure it’s something either one of them would bring up. I think it’s something that a friend mentions in front of them. Varric or Vivienne - Cassandra maybe, to her embarrassment that she actually said that out loud. Something along the lines of are they going to have a child or children and they are both stunned because they never really thought about that. They’re both men after all, how would it even work? In the end I think they would decide that maybe if things settle down and there’s ever a moment where they could just be, maybe they would adopt. But right now with Dorian in Tevinter and Mahon as the Inquisitor (even though the Inquisition is disbanded he still has responsibilities) it’s just not the right time to start a family. They’ll have to be enough for each other for the time being.
