brushing your teeth with pro hero bakugo and your daughter
“papa, mama says you have a bedtime too, is that true?,” asks your daughter, cute little cherub, genuinely confused.
katsuki bakugo groans, body weak from all the hero work.
“yeah, an hour after yours,” replies katsuki.
just then, your princesses eyes go big and mouth drops, truly amused at the realisation her high and mighty dad goes to bed so early.
she puts her fingers on his cheeks, tilting her head. katsuki returns the favour, holding her a little closer to him, her head laying on his chest.
“should we brush our teeth together then? it’s almost my bed time,” asks your daughter.
“whatever you want princess”
they both go to the bathroom, but just then your daughter motions you over to come brush your teeth with them too.
“mama, you too!,”
you walk up to the two of them, your daughter a total carbon copy of katsuki. did your genes even try? they both go to put the toothpaste on their brushes - katsuki’s electric one, and your daughter with her hello kitty one.
your daughter grabs out your toothbrush too, putting a bit too much on the brush, and hands it to you with the most endearing smile ever.
“oh thank you, sweetheart”
katsuki smiles in between the motion of brushing his teeth, usual tough boulder all gone to dust. his hands grab onto your waist, and he pulls you closer to him. even while brushing your teeth he’s clingy.
your daughter is sitting on the sink, exceptionally precise whilst brushing her teeth. as she goes to spit out the excess, her big curious eyes land on the sight that is you and katsuki blushing at each other.
“mama and papa are flirting!” yells your daughter.
Katsuki was absolutely heartbroken after finding out his little girl was having trouble socialising and making friends at school. He was mad at himself for not figuring it out sooner, but there were barely any signs. She was so excited to start school, skipping around in her lil uniform the night prior, trying on her school bag for the millionth time and asking him to help her put charms and keychains on it.
She was happy when he picked her up from school on her first day. In week two, she asked him to pack her extra lunch to share with her friends, but the lunch came home with only her portion finished. She told him her friends weren't hungry, and he brushed it off, not knowing there were no friends.
In week three, she asked him to buy her a DIY bracelet kit, and he got it for her, thinking she wanted to give them to her classmates, but he had no idea it was a desperate friendship offering from her side.
In week four, she wasn't excited to go to school anymore. She stopped packing her bag, pouted when he woke her up, and then one day, he found all the friendship bracelets she spent hours making inside her pencil case. That's when he caught on—his little girl was lonely.
That day, he decided to pick her up earlier than usual to surprise her. He stood by the window outside the playroom, searching for a spiky little head amongst the group of kids, but then his eyes fell on a girl sitting at the table, aggressively colouring pages. The sight made his heartstrings snap in two. His baby girl, so excited to make friends at school, dancing around his legs with stars in her eyes, was sitting all alone, only looking up when the teacher checked on her.
Katsuki never had trouble making friends at her age. He was a magnet that attracted the other kids, and so he was always surrounded by people, bathing in their attention and praise, but his girl was not the same. She wasn't boastful and overflowing with pride like he was, and he thanked God she didn't turn out like him, but took after her mom instead. However, she did not deserve this. She deserved to be in that circle of kids, laughing and playing with them.
He didn't realise he had tears in his eyes until the classroom door opened. It was the teacher. He blinked twice and swallowed thickly, glaring at the woman, "Why is my daughter sitting alone in a corner?"
"Well..." The teacher looked at her through the window. "The other kids avoid her. I've tried including her with them several times, but they end up moving away from her."
"Isn't it your job to make sure that doesn't happen?" His jaw tightened as he tried not to lash out. "It sucks seein' her sittin' there left out like that when she stayed up way past her bedtime just to make the class friendship bracelets. She was so excited to start school, and now she doesn't even want to hear that word."
"She made the class friendship bracelets?" She asked, surprised. "But she never gave out any."
Katsuki sighed and looked at his daughter again. How was it that she was a carbon copy of him, yet her behaviour was the complete opposite? "Why do the kids avoid her?"
"Uhm-" The teacher looked at him awkwardly, making him raise an eyebrow. "It's you."
"The hell did I do?!"
"Nothing, Mr Bakugo, it's just that the kids see you on television and assume your daughter is the same. I suppose she intimidates them."
His little butterfly. Intimidating? What a joke.
He clicked his tongue and walked past the teacher, entering the classroom. As soon as his presence was noted, the laughter and giggles died down until one of the kids yelled his name, and they all started assembling around him. But his eyes remained on his daughter. She was smiling now, grinning ear to ear as she shoved her crayons in her bag.
"Papa!" She ran up to him, hugging his leg.
"Hello, princess." He knelt and kissed her hair, glancing at the children staring at him wide-eyed. He looked at his daughter again, pretending he was unaware of the bracelets he'd seen in her pencil case, "Did you give your classmates the friendship bracelets you made?"
"You made us friendship bracelets?!" A girl screeched excitedly, and his daughter hid behind his arm, nodding.
"Hey, I wanna see!"
"That's so cool, where are they?!"
She looked up at him with twinkling eyes, and he smiled at her. She took off her backpack and pulled out her pencil case. She emptied it on the play table and watched her classmates pick their bracelets, clutching her skirt shyly as her peers thanked her.
Katsuki stood there proudly, watching her exchange bracelets with one of the girls. He patiently waited for the two to finish talking before it was time to wave goodbye. She could barely walk straight as he held her hand on their way to the car.
"Guess what, Papa? I made a new friend! Her name is Maya!" She exclaimed, showing him her wrist with the new bracelet as if he hadn't been watching.
"Yes, I saw. That's good." He pinched her cheek and helped her into the backseat, fastening her seat belt. He kept checking her in the rearview mirror the entire ride home. The stars in her eyes were back again, and he could finally sleep easily knowing his little girl would be fine.

Hope you all enjoy this, I worked really hard on it, shotos will come soon!
You know the one thing Takeo didn't want to do today? Be late to class and have his teacher call his parents again for yet another tardy.
Okay, so maybe he had made a habit of it in the past. Hearing his father scream at him and his mother express her concern in a tone that was considerably softer than his father's still wasn't on his bucket list for today.
He loved his parents but their different approaches to parenting could be overwhelming sometimes, giving him borderline whiplash at others.
Takeo wasn't born like his father was; he wasn't loud, brash, or arrogant. That wasn't something he had ever minded, though. He was a lot more like his mother than he was his old man. His mother and him were cut from a much more similar cloth than anyone else in the family, he found.
He was surrounded by his younger siblings after leaving school every day. No amount of trying to lock himself in a room away from them could ever get them to leave their older brother alone.
He supposed it was normal for younger children to look up to their eldest sibling. He knew they were waiting for him to lead the way and become great like their parents but Takeo truly didn't know if he had it in him.
Sometimes Takeo felt bad. His name, which was given to him by his father, felt like it only stood to mock him. Takeo. Brave warrior. Yeah… right.
The irony stung more with the knowledge that his parents, particularly his father, was waiting for him to prove himself to his family, and to the world. Guilt ate away at his heart every time he thought of his father and his monumental expectations of him.
Takeo had never felt much like his father. Other than the lack of volume he possessed, he wasn't one to show off or to try to make anyone's life harder. Takeo was also born with a similar quirk to his mother's, whereas all of his younger siblings had inherited his father's violent explosion power.
Despite all this, he actually found great comfort in his father. He found that most things, even his old man's constant yelling, could be endured in small doses. But eventually time would catch up and so would his guilt.
Takeo often found himself in trouble at school despite being a quiet boy. It was that same old ultimate cruel trick the universe played on the most unwilling, over and over again. Even when he tried to get everything right, he still ended up late or accidentally forgetting his science project at home, leaving him with a failing grade.
He didn't need them to tell him how disappointed they were in him, because he already knew. He couldn't really blame them. He was disappointed with himself most days, too.
Which was what made this situation even worse.
He was already running late, and as he was pulling his outside shoes off to get his class ones on, and such is the way of the universes cruellest joke he heard a noise not too far away from the main entrance area where he was alone.
Now, Takeo may have been quiet, but he wasn't weak-willed. A sudden, lingering curiosity began to fill him, and his legs began to move on their own. Not towards his classroom on the third floor where he was supposed to be going, but towards the suspect noise that had echoed into the entrance of his school building.
He had no idea why he was doing this. Common sense should have told him that as the child of a top Pro Hero, he was likely in more danger. If whoever or whatever had made that sound was foe and not friend he was surely screwed.
Yet for some strange reason that thought didn't bother him as much as it would have someone else.
Being filled with an odd combination of courage and a sensible hesitation at the same time, he clenched his fists as he neared where the sound had reverberated from, ready to use his quirk at any moment.
It was hard to explain what he was feeling in that moment. One second he was there, and the next, all he could see around him was silver. His body seemed to be frozen as he watched the silver surrounding him swirl around viciously.
The last thing he saw before the whirling obscured his vision was a man, hunched over standing in the shadow of the stairwell, his eyes a depraved oceanic blue.
The sight was enough to send a cold haze all the way around his body.
If he weren't one of the top students at the top of his grade, he would've panicked. But he was. He gave himself some much-needed reassurance as he looked over every detail.
It looked like he was stuck in a twister, but there was no wind, so that couldn't have been it. The silver swirling gave way to some blue and then some green, all swirling and blending in exceptionally with the unique silver.
Any panic and fear he felt drifted away as he saw the end of the spiral appear and move closer to him. Only at the very end did it present any danger, as it forcefully shoved Takeo out of the spiral and onto the hard, solid tarmac.
It vanished as soon as it had appeared. Realising that he must've been hit by a quirk, Takeo quickly rose to try to find his school building, wondering why a villain would bother to break into his school and then send him out of the way instead of killing him. Since when did villains have morals? Deep down he knew he was being dramatic but he felt this was worse. Going out of your way to slightly inconvenience someone? the true pinnacle of evil.
It wasn't long at all before that assumption was shattered into a million tiny fragments.
Call him crazy, but he had a very, very bad feeling about all of this.
Of course it would have been easier for the boy if he had any clue where he was at all.
Getting up off the ground he grimaced as he feels a cool breeze on his elbows where he had caught himself when he fell.
Whelp…
His father was definitely gonna have to buy another replacement school blazer. For a private school, their uniforms weren't exactly versatile in the way the board members thought they were, or they were intentionally made cheap so they could make more money. Takeo really wouldn't put it past them.
Looking around him now, he had no clue where he was. The place felt familiar to him, but so different at the same time.
Everything felt so strange, but before he had time to ponder anymore he heard very familiar yelling from around the corner of where he was.
Relieved, Takeo immediately shakes off any remaining debris that could've gotten on his blazer when he fell onto the floor and began to move quickly to the very familiar sound of his fathers screams.
Not at all expecting that who he was about to see wasn't his father, and he wouldn't be for a very long time.

a/n: this came to me during a car ride today idk i def wanna elaborate on this plot aaaaa
katsuki had always loved music.
many of his earliest memories revolved around music. when he wasn't training to become a hero, he was learning to play the drums. even then, while he'd train, he'd have his headphones on, blasting whatever metal band he was into that week.
even now, as an adult, he continued his love for music. each morning, when he'd hit the gym, he'd have his playlist blasting. on his days off, he'd still play music with his friends from UA that had played with him in the school festival. it seemed to follow him everywhere.
that was one of the things he had been most excited about when he became a dad. before his daughter was born, he'd spent hours curating playlists of songs and artists he'd want to show her one day. it was, admittedly, what he looked forward to the most.
when katsuki found out his daughter was deaf shortly after she was born, he was devastated.
he'd known it was a possibility- he'd been wearing hearing aids since he was in middle school. but it was something he'd feared, something he'd forced to the back of his mind.
yeah, it's a possibility... but no way, right? he'd told himself. over, and over, and over again.
but now, it was a reality. his daughter was deaf.
as heartbroken as he was by the news, though, he loved his daughter more than anything. despite her getting a cochlear implant when she was eleven months old, katsuki taught her sign language and encouraged her to sign along with teaching her to speak.
though she couldn't enjoy music the same was as he did, katsuki found that she loved feeling the vibrations and the bass.
he'd start playing a song on his small speaker, sitting on the floor with her and watching as her little arms flailed in excitement and her toothy grin spread on her face.
"you like the song?" he'd ask, signing along with his words to assist with her ability to lip-read.
she'd shake her tiny fist yes before crawling towards him, babbling incoherently a string of words she couldn't hear herself saying.
katsuki would just chuckle. 'are you trying to talk to daddy?' he'd sign, exaggerating his facial expressions as his hands moved with practiced ease.
he'd pull over a picture book with the alphabet.
'm-u-s-i-c.' he'd finger sign, pointing to the letters in the book with his other hand. 's-o-n-g. you like when i play songs?'
his daughter would giggle in response. katsuki would tap her shoulder gently.
"can you say song?" he spoke slowly, signing the words as he spoke. "can you talk to daddy? say song, kiddo."
"sah!" she'd babble. katsuki would just smile. pulling her into his lap, he'd pepper her small face with kisses.
'good job!' he signed, 'very good job.'
by the time she turned five, she was practically fluent in verbal speech thanks to her cochlear implant. she didn't always wear it- katsuki knew not to force it if she didn't want to- but she was able to talk to him, and even read his lips.
he'd be filling out paperwork in his office after a long day of hero patrols, and he'd hear the little pitter patter of her feet coming down the hallway. he'd chuckle to himself, waiting for the door to inevitably crack open, for her to peer inside.
"daddy?"
he'd smile at her, beckoning her closer with a finger wave. she'd pad to the edge of his desk, and fidget with her fingers a little.
"whaddya need, kiddo?" he'd ask. if she hadn't read his lips, he'd sign, 'you need something?'
"i wanna play music, daddy." she'd say. her little fingers would sign the words as she spoke, and he'd get the biggest grin on his face at the thought that she wanted to spend time with him. that, despite being unable to "hear" the music in the same way he could, she wanted him to show her something new.
"alright," he'd reply, ushering her out of the office and down the hall to his room. "c'mon."
he'd hoist her up onto his bed, sitting across from her. he'd connect his phone to his speaker, and each time she'd ask for music, he'd show her something new. he'd watch as her face lit up when she felt the vibrations, how her hands would touch the speaker to feel them more prominently.
'you like it?' he'd sign.
'yeah!' she'd sign back enthusiastically. eventually, every time, their music sessions ended with her on his lap, snuggled up against him as she felt the vibrations of the songs and the vibrations of his voice. she didn't need to hear the music or hear his voice to feel comforted- and that was all that mattered.
that, despite his initial fears, he wouldn't have it any other way. that he could still share his love for music with his daughter, that she could enjoy it in her own way.
and when she eventually asked him to teach her to play the drums?
he knew right then and there that his dreams had come true.
The experience of santa visiting the bakugo household has shifted over the last few years, with the older bakugos no longer believing but still keep the spirit active for their younger siblings. Writing a list for santa is a special occasion, you must maximise that man for all he's worth– sure all his elfs build everything! Now lets see what the bakugo brats want for christmas this year.
The warm lights of the christmas tree twinkle slightly as you get all cozy on the sofa, waiting for your kids to connect their laptop to the TV for the annual "powerpoint presentation" of what they'd like for christmas. Paper was long forgotten as "paper is lame and powerpoint has pictures" said your second child – Tatsuo.
Katsuki finally settles in with a hot cup of jasmine tea, something he’s taken to in the evenings for as long as you’ve been married. Your eldest, Kiro, stands beside the TV with a soft smile, waiting for your full attention to show you his wishlist. How sweet
"So, this year will be fairly small, as the dorms have everything" Kiro smiles as he stands so tall now.. since when did your baby grow up and is now in the U.A dorms?
Firstly Kiro swipes to his first item "A new mini fridge. The one left in the dorms smells like piss. Probably chargebolts old one" this earns a snort of approval from katsuki, finding amusement in the correlation to his old classmate. In truth, Kiro is probably right.
"Next, these gym shorts and shoes. Blue is fine" kiro shows a few sets of gym gear. Flicking through various pictures. Why is your baby asking for gym clothes– where did all the toys go? You smile in approval, such an easy kid.
"And then finally‐ a new bike. Mine is too small now, this should be good getting from U.A , home again, occasionally" Kiro shows a picture of a sturdy bike, similar to a mountain bike. Another hobby he shares the love of with your husband.
"Thats all?" You ask with a smile, never asks for much does he? . "Yes, thats all I don't need anything else" Kiros smiles as he sits beside Katsuki, letting his brother, Tatsuo connect his phone as hes next.
Tatsuo stands up tall– taller then his older brother at the grand age of 14– proudly showing off his power point. The copy-paste version of your husband stands infront of you as he talks through his powerpoint
"So to start" he taps his laptop "a new iphone, mines getting slow – the dark gray or the green" a new shiny iphone appears on the screen... great start already.
Katuski squints making sure he's seeing things right, leaning forward towards the tv. You offer him his glassed but he swats your hand away. So stubborn.
"Next"
The screen flicks to various items of clothing, some brands you've never even heard of! "All medium size, the shoes i'll size down in" the clothes on the screen quickly add up to one, two thousand– woah. Katsuki shakes his head redoing the maths again.
"An' what makes ye think the old man has all this money? Eh?" Katsuki pulls a face looking at his carbon copy - who pulls the same face back at his dad
"Well" Tatsuo smirks as he points back to the screen. "big guy over here makes plenty for me to get this" . Katsuki rolls his eyes at Tatsuo’s comment, already knowing—yes, he does make enough. That isn’t the point.
Katsuki's grumbles as he thinks how much his kids will drain his bank account by the new year. Forget budgeting when you decide to have four kids.
Next, Somi and Haru. Somi, the elder of the twins, hops up and nudges her brother out of the way. Haru retreats without protest, lingering off to the side and letting his sister take the lead. The glow of the TV casts soft light across the living room, the Christmas tree tucked into the corner blinking lazily as Tatsuo drops down beside you. He grumbles under his breath about something to do with Santa’s budget, sinking into the couch cushions.
Somi starts her presentation with a disclaimer—something about how she’s older now and how she doesn’t want toys anymore. You can’t help the smile that tugs at your lips. She has gotten older, now the ripe age of twelve, but you’re still curious to see where this is going.
“So, firstly—” Somi taps her iPad, the screen mirroring to the TV as the first set of photos pops up. “These makeup products—” She’s cut off by a sharp bark from the couch.
“Absolutely not. Yer not even a teenager yet and yer already askin’ for this crap? Not a chance. Next.”
Katsuki doesn’t even hesitate, arms folding across his chest as he shuts the idea down entirely. You glance at the screen—some of it is a bit much—but things like lip gloss or an eyelash curler don’t seem all that unreasonable. Still, you keep that thought to yourself.
Somi slumps at her dad’s reaction, shoulders sagging as she exhales through her nose. She’d known it was a risky move anyway. Without looking up, she flicks to the next slide. This earns a chuckles from Tatsuo, earning him a glare from Kiro. Brotherly love.
Somi explains about how these new clothes are a must, even though you swear she has atleast five other identical matching ones in her closet. The hoodies on the screen are from a familiar brand youve baught her before, If she likes it, theres no harm. Somi finishes by begging Katsuki for a rabbit for the third year in a row. Not a chance, even though you've had pets , a rabbit it not on your list of chores your willing to take up once the novelty has worn off.
Somi steps to the side a little frustrating that her tactic didn't work, but now the quiest of the baku-bunch steps up. Haru smiles as he doesn't present a powerpoint, but stands there with a sticky note.
"The only thing's I'd like are ; a new fuzzy blanket, a phone case and a voucher to the arcade" Haru smiles as he finishes his 'list'. Your poor boy never wants for much.
“…That’s it?” Katsuki finally asks, brow twitching. “You’re allowed to want more than three things, you know.”
Haru tilts his head. “I am?”
“Yes,” Katsuki says flatly. “Legally.”
“Haru,” Tatsuo leans forward, already scheming, “why don’t you put my laptop on your list? Then I can finally—”
Thump
"Baby are you sure you don't want anything else? Another game for your switch or new shoes?" You offer as you smile to Haru, him mirroring your smile back almost instantly. You try and ignore the fight thats about to break out between Somi and Tatsuo as she just thumped his ass for trying to pull one over on Haru. What a great dynamic.
Haru thinks about anything else he could want, "a trampoline" he asks as if its the biggest ask in the world. The room audibly takes a breath as they're greatful Haru finally asked for a 'want' rather then a 'need'.
“Yeah,” you say softly. “We can do that.”
Katsuki meets your eyes across the room, something unspoken passing between you. The quiet agreement that settles deep in your chest. Not every want comes easy, not every childhood is gentle… but here, in this family, kids don’t have to stop themselves from asking.
Somi laughs, Tatsuo groans dramatically, Kiro looking like a proud brother at his siblings dynamic, and Haru’s face lights up like he’s just been handed the world.
And you realize, with Katsuki right there beside you, that this is how it’s supposed to be. All kids should get what they want- especially when what they want is finally allowed to be just that
Bakugo x kirishima omegaverse adoption. Request is meeting bakugos parents or just his dad per se. like his dad really wants to meet his grandbaby and he doesn’t care about what his wife says because he’s going to meet his grandbaby wether she likes it or not.

Summary: katsukis dad gets to meet the baby, mitsuki has an epiphany
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Bakugo read the letter his dad sent, the Omega was absolutely thrilled with the pictures of the baby that Aizawa sent him, Aizawa knew how hard it was to get out of a marriage as an Omega and kept the man up to date via coffee meet ups.
And today, Mr. Bakugo was going to meet his grandson.
"I can't face him." Mitsuki whispered, the Alpha looking away from her Omega "well I am, I'm tired of you're tantrums! You made me lose out on my pups most important years! I had to miss his graduation!"
Masaru looked so broken "I let you walk over me... I love you but you need therapy... I-I can't do this"
"I-im sorry" it was rare to see the blond so meek "think about the fact, you missed your son's wedding, his son and his life because you were set in his ways" his words trembling "I know you love our son... Talk to him"
And with that the Omega left the house.
Katsuki felt his heart feel a bit warmer when he saw his dam, (name) sitting in kirishimas knee and playing with his fingers happily and suckling on his pacifier that looked like a little explosion "dad..." Katsuki stood up to properly greet his dam, having not seen him in a year and a half, only exchanging letters through Aizawa. "There's my precious little boy and my other precious boy... And whose this" immediately the soft man doted on the two before his eyes landed on (name) who leaned against his dad, staring at the Omega confused. Masaru got closer to the pup and crouched "hi... I'm your grandpa" he whispered and (name) reached out to him, the little baby having no loyalty when it comes to attention and the older Omega smelt like his papa so therefore safe in the little ones eyes.
"Gosh, he's so perfect" he whispered while holding the angel of a baby close "poepoepoe" the boy babbled, having taken his pacifier out of his mouth.
Katsuki felt pure happiness bubble in his chest, seeing his dad show the love he showed Katsuki when he was little "you are so brave!" The Brunet whispered to the baby, enamoured by the pure joy the little omega gave back at the attention and tickles his grandpa gave.
"So how's things dad..." Katsuki was surprisingly soft with his dad, knowing the omega was always the nervous type "it's better... Your mother and I actually spoken before I left today"
"Oh?"
"And I won"
The table grew quiet and Kirishima was the first to speak "I'm proud of you!"
X
She couldn't believe it.
Her mate.
Her omega.
Her life...
He just lost it on her, she really fucked this up, huh?
She sat alone in the sitting area for hours, tears rolling down her face.
She had a grand baby...
She remembered how happy she was when she held little Katsuki...
She didn't want to ever say goodbye to that memory.
She couldn't dare possibly say goodbye to the music in her life, the music being the love of her family.
She needed to get it together.
Looking around the house, a nice house with beautiful decorations...
She would give it all up if she could take what she said back.
But she knew it wouldn't be easy.
X
"Her pride-- it was always something that got in the way, I know she regrets what she did... God knows when she will admit her faults" masaru said calmly and handed (name) back to Katsuki when the boy reached over to the blond for cuddle time "i-I don't think I could forgive her for what she did" Katsuki said honestly, time did his temper well.
And after having a son, a wonderful beautiful baby boy.
He couldn't imagine doing something like that to his baby.
What parent could do that?
The rest of the lunch went smoothly, Masaru doting on his son and son and law while (name) slept in his stroller without a care.
It was late, Eijiro sleeping beside him and (name) was asleep in his crib across the hall and thoughts of the meeting pushed around katsukis brain.
His mom abandoned him.
Come morning, the two alphas did their morning stretches in the livingroom, (name) clumsily following along much to the parents amusement and delight "good form!" Eijiro cheered to the boys delight.
my favourite bakugou x you trope is the one where he randomly gets thrown 10 years into the future by a villain with you (or to spice things
Katsuki came to consiousness in a fucking dumpster.
His head moaned and his core ached from where the villisn had zapped him. He ruffled his way out of the garbage, cursing whatever God decided to fuck with him today as he slipped a banana peel off his shoulder. At first his mind raced. Where was he? This Alleyway was vaguely familiar, but as of right now he couldnt place it from where he stood.
His thoughts ceased however when he heard a pained female groan from the trash can. Maki! His brain went into auto pilot. Being the ever so stressed man he was, he hurridley pulled her from the trash can, cursing himself for not remembering her sooner.
God he really was an asshole. Maki had been his official, unofficial girlfriend for months, how was she not his number one priority?
“Because you aren’t her’s” a small insecure voice rang in his ear and he fought to surpress it.
The truth is Katsuki had asked her out, he had wanted her to be his girlfriend. But as fate would have it she wasn’t looking for anything serious yet, or so she claimed.
However it did irk Katsuki that her sentiment for nothing serious only seemed to apply for the actual relationship status. So for the past few months he’s been buying her flowers, she’s been unofficially staying at his place, fuck she even came over for thanksgiving last month with his parents!
Maki groaned and Katsuki snapped back out of it.
“Can you walk?” He asked, holding her pressed against him incase she fell.
“Yeah,” she staggeredly spoke, “but can we please get out of this alleyway so I can stop smelling whatever it is shat over there?” She joked, pointing her perfectly sharp red nail at a pile of brown sludge not to far off.
Katsuki’s eyes lingered on the tip of her pointed nail, remembering how good they felt digging into his shoulder blade last night. He never did understand how she managed to be a prohero and have nice nails, but he really wasn’t complaining.
He grumbled some drawled out response about how shitty of a job animal shelters did before wrapping his arm around her waist and walking out of the alley like the perfect unofficial boyfriend he was.
But as soon as they exited the alley, something invisible and heavy metaphorically punched him in the gut. His hero agency.
The one he’d started six months ago, the one he’d been struggling to keep afloat in a mediocre one story office building.
It was…
Well for lack of better words it was huge. All modern glass and potted plants. Hell, the building had grown at leat 15 floors since yesterday.
Katsuki tried not to shit himself from disbelief as he glanced around, desperate to find anything that could make sense of it.
A billboard caught his eye. All giant and holographic where it said “OFFICIAL HERO RANKINGS AS OF DECEMBER 6th 20XX” in big catchy letters. And in an even brighter array was Katsuki, no, Dynamite plastered all over it, most notably next to the words ‘NUMBER ONE HERO’
Beside him he heard Maki ask him something; she sounded concerned, but Katsuki didn’t really register any of it. Instead his mind raced. Was this really the future? Was this not just some cruel unforgiving dream bestowed on him by that lame quirk bastard whod zapped him?
The revolving door to the hero agency swung open, drawing his gaze.
And maybe Katsuki wouldnt have registered it if the woman leaving hadn’t been wheeling an army green stroller through it. Maybe he wouldn’t have registered it if it wasn’t you.
His breathe caught in his throat.
You, Prohero Spikewring, dressed in a midi, floral yellow sundress, the chunkiest pair of pink platform heels and your gorgeous curly hair out and waving in the soft breeze as you laughed at what he hoped was a baby in the stroller.
He felt his jaw tick.
God he hadn’t seen you since his first and last attended hero gala . He remembers looking down at you that night. A soft velvet midnight blue dress that hugged you in the best possible ways. Sheer gloves and dramatic winged liner. And he didn’t need to see to know you wore a signature chunky shoe. You’d sat next to him at the bar and, presumably, asked the bartender for whatever he had. He couldn’t remember exactly what the drink was, probably some variation of whisky, but what he did recall was your tentative face and your almost immediate coughing fit. Your fingers, nails all chewed up and cuticles somehow perfect held firmly onto the counter a you laughed dryly.
“How do you drink that with such a straight face?” You moaned, a pained smile on your face.
Katsuki was amused.
He found his gaze dropping to the perky curve of you chest. Your dress was strapless, and Katsuki was taller than you; granting him a free but probably creepy glance at the soft, pale skin of your chest and the peak of a black lace bra. Katsuki was maybe too amused. He laughed at your pain before grabbing a drink menu and ordering you a ‘Dynamite Passion Blaster.” A drink he was sure tasted more of juice than alcohol and was filled with a shit ton of citrusy fruit.
You let out a happy sigh when you drank the fruity concoction and somehow started a soft flow of conversation.
The rest of the night was a blur. The year’s statistics were read, you asked him to dance with you and then as you both laughed (mostly you) and slowly swayed, the clock struck midnight and then Katsuki kissed you; and you kissed him back.
Katsuki didn’t ask for your number that night, hell he didn’t even take you home that night. How could he when he knew he would be on a plane for the next twelve hours flying to the United States for a work oppertunity the very next day.
That being said, in this timeline he hadnt seen you in over a decade. Yet.
Somehow he knew you instantly. He recalled back to when he stalked your instagram. All short skirts and high shoes. Your style had evolved since then, fuck youd aged since then, but Katsuki couldn’t help but wince as his heart ached when you reached down into the pram.
Itd been over ten years. Of course you had a baby. You probably had a husband, after all you were 36 now. Hell, you could have an entirely new life by now. Youd moved on since that day, and he fucking hated how the jelousy made him feel like he hadnt.
You reached into the stroller to pull out a giggling, chunky baby. The little child’s eyes were bright enough to decay a ruby and you both laughed like Katsuki’s heart wasn’t racing at the speed of sound.
It hurt. Even though you were only his sappy lil celebrity crush, somehow it hurt to watch you wholeheartedly love a baby that wasnt his. It hurt him to know there was someone out there who hadnt blown it with you. Someone out there who youd always love more than him.
Not that you ever loved him.
Now Katsuki’s nails dug into Maki’s ever so smooth waist.
Thats right, he still had Maki.
He was about to say something, maybe an apology when the swing door swung open again, and Katsuki himself, no, the real fucking Dynamite sauntered out. His shoulders impossibly broad and his hair impossibly spikier.
Katsuki felt like beating the shit out of him.
That is until his eyes lit up and he wrapped a large veined arm around your waist, giving you an invisible kiss on the neck and pressing a soft kiss to the baby’s forehead. His baby. Meaning Katsuki’s baby with you.
Before he had time to process any of it he heard a faint analog clock ticking away in his ears, growing louder until another punch to his stomach came and he and Maki flew backwards into the pile of curious brown shit and losing consciousness.
Itd been months since that day he saw the future. Weeks since hed broke things off with Maki and days since he wondered if he should go out of his way to find you again. Unsurprisingly , he hadn’t come to a descion yet.
It’d been almost a year from that day, when Katsuki finally saw you again, and this time he didn’t let fear keep him away from you.
Let's say Bakugo didn't take his shot with you for probably any reason he could find.
But let's say destiny decided to give him a second chance by transferring you to UA, just when his son entered it.
He passed the practical exam with 78 points so one above his father and talked about it for weeks. "Well, how much did you got in English brat? Go back studying instead of bragging! Damn, who gave you this ego?"
Nobody knew you were transfered. Little Bakugo was in class, minding his own business and talking with his new classmates when a familiar voice called for silence. His eyes bulged. It was you, his favorite teacher in the world. Big grin on your face, hands on your hips and mischief in your eyes. "Alright, let's play a game, kids..."
He was euphoric. The night, before calling his dad he took a big breath, he needed to play casual if he wanted to get what he wanted. "Hiiii daaaaad..." (Maybe that was too casual...)
"What's on brat? You have a weird voice."
He very rarely called him dad. It was always 'old man', 'number two/one' (depends on the month with Deku) or 'stupid hero'.
"You won't believe who is my teacher."
Bakugo was not ready to hear your name. No. No. No... He felt his gut clench. It was always like that when he was with you. He wasn't as stupid as his son thought. He knew what feelings he arbored for you. At first he felt validated as a dad, and then he built a solide admiration for you. Until he took a step too much and begun falling.
He was scared, the last time it happened it ended so badly. It ended with a scandal, a baby in his arms and the mother leaving without looking back.
Even if he knew you were not the same, he was anxious. So he prefered not doing anything.
His son waited for him to put a move, because you were exactly what his family needed. He could confide to you. His dad really liked you and he saw how you looked at them both. With longing. That's what he wanted, a family. A family where his dad wouldn't felt alone and crushed by responsabilities. But not sure his dad read the note.
Mini Bakugo's time at UA was focus on work. You weren't going easy on them. First you made them work on strategies then their quirk. He developed his quirk, watching how he could use it differently from his father.
His first duel with a classmate was disastrous. He lost in a matter of minute and didn't talk for two days. He took you, hyping him and a long call from his dad to sooth his mind. "It's no big deal, gremlin. Everybody fail from time to time, it helps to get experience." "But you never lose, you're the symbol of Victory..." he murmured with a teary voice.
"What?!? What's that bullshit? Of course I have lost, kid. My first hero training at UA, I lost against Deku. Damn I wanted to kill that shitty nerd..."
"You lost?"
"Yeah... I also didn't get my hero license on the first try too. That's things happen. What I want you to remember is that you'll get better if you fail sometimes. Learn from your mistakes. If you never learn you won't be a good hero." "Thank you old man." "It's nothing gremlin, do your best. Before I go, are you the idiot who put the washing machine on warm? I told you a hundred times it's better cold for your clothes!!"
At the Sport Festival the kid gave his all. He won, but unlike his father, under the cheering of his classmates. He felt elated. A feeling so bright a tear dropped off his eyes. Deku smiled at him when he gave him the medal with a few words of appreciation.
Bakugo wouldn't tell his son he cried too. He cried of relief, of pride, of watching his gremlin grow and becoming such a wonderful hero. Without another word, you left him a tissu.
Mini Bakugo was doing well. But he was not satisfied yet. So... He talked to his Grandma about you.
He was indulging in his retired grand parents activities and today was photography. He let them dress him and turn him to take photos from every angle. He knew he could vant as much as he wanted in this moment.
"That's the kind teacher you told me about?"
"Yes. The one that makes the old man blush. He's such a simp I swear!" he responded while looking straight at the camera.
They put the replay of the Sport Festival which was playing in a corner. Masaru took pictures and Mitsuki watched the replay.
"But I guess he won't ask them out..." she mused.
"No, I tried everything but he is to fucking stubborn."
"Mmh..."
Mitsuki watched you with the other teachers on the TV and then smiled when she recognized one. She patted her grandson hair.
"Alright, I know what you need to do..."
The gremlin followed his grand-ma instructions. When he came back the weekend he stepped in the kitchen where his father was cooking. He stared at him, deciding how to attack first.
"So how was your week, brat?"
"Good. Professor Y/N made us work with the Professor Mindjack's class. It was cool."
It is how the plan began. Each time he mentioned you, he had to put Professor Mindjack in the same sentence. Professor Y/N exchange the exams with Professor Mindjack for correction. Professors Mindjack and Y/N want to train us Monday morning...
And it was working. After a week like that only, he asked his son, "You talk a lot about the Zombie..."
Without missing a bit, his son responded, " Well, I see him a lot with Professor Y/N."
"Oh..., they are friends?"
"I guess, they are always together."
The kid digged into his plate. Not missing how his father stiffen. He felt a little guilty for lying to him like that, but that's the biggest reaction he got.
He kept doing the talking about his week, not too much to raise suspicion. His grandma told him to be subtle.
And for his pleasure, the day his father and Deku came to UA to talk with the students, you were with Professor Mindjack.
The gremlin was strolling in the corridors when he saw his father coming from the opposite direction with Deku. He grabbed his friends by their collar and hid with them in the classroom.
Just at this moment, you got out from the teacher lounge with Mindjack, talking with animation. Bakugo froze. Everything his son told him replayed in his mind. His traitorous brain showed him what he didn't want to see. You, dating that stupid Zombie, being happy and lovey-dovey with him when it was Bakugo who was craving your attention. Your eyes were shining, you looked so carefree with him. And stupid Mindjack was smiling too!!! A tired and discret smile, not a big grin but a smile nonetheless! Bakugo felt fire in his lungs. His hands were warm when you saw them.
The day went good, the gremlin didn't stop watching his father. He analysed his behavior, the way he talked to you and to Professor Mindjack. He was professional, supporting with his classmates. Nothing too different, until the end of the day.
It's Deku who saw the restrain in his friends. He had glommy eyes when he thought nobody was watching. The green haired hero didn't know why though.
You felt deflected when Dynamight ignore your goodbye. It burned you to watch him walk away whereas you wanted to thank him for the day. Your throat tightened.
His son come to you after the lesson. His piercing red eyes stared while you tried to act like it didn't affect you.
"I'm sorry, Professor Y/N."
"Why are you apologizing, champion?" you said with a forced smile.
"I have put in my father's head that you were dating Professor Mindjack. That's why he acted like that."
Slowly, he pushed a little paper on your desk. Your hands moved of themselves, you were too flabbergasted to process what your student said to you.
"It's his number. It's your choice but if you want it, you have to make a move."
You analysed the boy in front of you. He looked as determined as always. The frown had been soothed by the years and his classmates. But he still had this defiance in his stance.
And now, you saw something rare, something he usually don't show, worriness. Right on his shakening pupils.
Just like that, it makes your heart acted on his own. You took his hand, carefully. You hold and press it. The child swallowed.
"Is that what you want?" you questioned.
"We both want it. The old man is just too stupid to say it."
You nodded and put the little paper in your pocket. "I'll think about it, kid. Thank you for your help."
The gremlin smiled, then left.
The same night, you decided to take matter into your own hands. With a deep breath, you called him.
"Yeah?" He grumbled.
"Mister Bakugo? It's Professor Y/N. You left before I could thank you and ask you something."
The ProHero shook. His mind blanked for a few seconds.
"How the hell did you got my number?"
"Not important. When is your next day off?"
"Why???" He barked.
"I'm taking you out on your day off, so when it is?"
Only silence responded to you. But you knew he was still there.
After a long time, you heard something like papers shuffling, then a quiet "Sunday..."
"Perfect, it's a date then! I see you Sunday. Goodnight!"
When the call ended, Bakugo in his napron in front of the calendar slowly turned to look at his son.
The gremlin was hiding his smile with a scowl like his father.
"You little shit..."
"Tsk. Try to ground me and I send the record to Grandma, stupid hero."
