Problematic ships and stuff

I'm not an anti because I don't get up in people's grills about stuff, I just don't care, BUT I do want to point out what is and isn't a bad ship in terms of power dinamics and stuff

Age gap:

Abusive ship: daddave when Dave is 13, because a 13 year old being in a romantic relationship with an adult is bad

Fine ship: daddave au where Dave is in collage. Because an 21 year old and a 41 year old is not necessarily any better or worse than a 37 year old and a 41 year old. It may lead to a power imbalance, but sugar daddies are daves parogative.

Incest: makes me uncomfortable.

Bad: Brodave

Borderline acceptable but still nasty: dirkdave, in a fooling around cud they're curious context

Rape fics:

Bad: romanticized rape

Fine: a fic about the journey of an abuse survivor to find good coping mechanisms, about character development rather than the relationship.

Bullying:

Bad ship: Dromione. He bacically called her the n word, and aside from the cursed child they never had any positive interactions,

Fine ship: Drarry, they pick on each other a lot but nobody ever crossed the line (accept when Harry used sectum sempra, but that was an accident) and maybe once they do a little growing up they could do the foes to friends to lovers thing and Harry could teach him not to be a dick

Temporal Sunset: Dirk/Alpha Dave. Dirk is sick and dying. Five chapters. 

Prodigy:  Later Dirk/Alpha Dave. Dave is only seventeen when his parents die and he's left with a very unique four-year-old little brother to raise on his own. He's burning through savings, and any of his future dreams need to be put on hold so he can focus on making sure his only family isn't taken away. Eight chapters. 

The Footsteps:  Based off of the novel "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. I was practicing scene writing and new voice. The world has ended, and Bro is alone with his little brother, still a child, struggling to keep them both alive. The sun is hardly ever out, every animal and plant is dead, the earth is growing colder every day, and food is scarce. Bro isn't sure where he's really going, but as long as he has his world, Dave, with him, then he's sure they'll be all right. Two chapters. Only brotherly love. OOC Bro. 

Beige: Dave/Dad. With a bad big brother, Dave often turns to Mr. Egbert for comfort. Oneshot.
