Request: Can you do one with calum dating reader is part of the band and is under quarantine and they have have a 1 year old daughter together. And Calum is on Instagram live and a lot of fluff and touching.
No warnings: just fluff
In these times of uncertainty I had one thing I was certain about and that was that Me, Cal and our daughter Luna-May were soaking up as much time together as we could. Being that Calum was on tour most of my pregnancy and had been home a total of three months in the first year of Lunas life. It was well needed having him home and being the family we hoped we would have. Now these hadn`t been the circumstances we had hoped they would fall under being that the whole world was in quarantine, but here we are.
Me and Calum were both in a bands, so the house has always been musical or loud, so adjusting to having a baby in the house was hard. Both of us forgetting occasionally and whacking the music up full blast and then thinking. `oh shit` and scrambling to turn it down again to not wake up Luna. We were a year into being parents and it had been a dream most of the time. She was a happy, cheery baby and rarely cried. Duke had a best friend whether he liked it or not, he had been a bit wary to start off with, we soon found him growing in confidence with her. Finding him snuggled next to you when holding Luna or sitting next to you and gently nudging her.
We had just gotten back from having a family walk around the neighbour hood having still being allowed out for an hour at a time during the day, Duke still needed walking so we would get ready for our family walk after dinner to settle down for the evening. Luna-May had decided that she just wasn`t tired today and was still wide awake once we returned home. I parked the pushchair up into the garage and came through the side door meeting Cal and Luna in the kitchen. Duke taking himself off to his head to chill out for the rest of the evening.
“I was planning on doing an Instagram live tonight, once little miss was a sleep. That doesn`t seem to be anytime soon though” he smiled tickling her tummy and blowing kisses on her chubby cheeks.
“Well I can take her, she`s okay for a little longer and then ill try and get her down again”. I smiled walking over and looking over Cals shoulder and looking at my daughter, her big brown eyes staring up at us both and a big smile on her face, her one tooth sticking out when she babbled.
“Okay, bug. Lets get you into some jammies and we can see what uncle Ash is up to yeah” he cooed at Luna. Cal took her upstairs and got her ready for bed and brought her back down in her onesie and her kangaroo comforter blanket, wrapped round her like a cape.
“Hey bug, was you a good girl for your daddy urmmm.” I cooed taking her from Cal and laying her down in my arms while she took her bottle of milk. She soon finished her milk and still to no avail she wasn`t sleepy. “Oh its going to be one of them nights is it, where you just want to stay up with mummy and pops. I get it we are that fun you just don`t want to miss out” I picked up Luna and placed her on my hip making my way into Cals studio. Cal had been on the live stream for about 10 minutes having had Ashton join and chat about what was going on with tour and various other bits and bobs to do with the band.
Calum turned his head and smiled at both of us as we came through the door, Cal instantly reaching out for his little girl. She happily went to her father and I scooted the piano seat over next to them both so we could all join in on the live. Cal had always been a private man and he still was, but when it came to his daughter he couldn`t help but show her off to the world. Luna sat happily on Cals lap mesmerised by her uncle Ashton making funny faces and sounds at her, earning a deep belly laugh from the little one.
We spoke to Ashton for a couple more minutes and then decided to answer some questions from fans. Luna sat looking up at her pops and trying to reach for his chin, Calum looking down and nuzzling his cheeks against hers making her erupt into giggles from the stubble Cal had grown over the last couple of days. The comment sections bursting with comments about the cute exchange between them both.
While Cal helped Luna stand up on his lap and look better at the phone, her chubby little arm reaching out for it, I answered some questions about motherhood and my band whether we had any plans.
“Cal there`s a question here, I think you should answer” I smiled
“Are you planning on having anymore beautiful babies?”
Cal smiled and leant down to kiss my lips before looking back at the camera.
“Well as you all know this one had just had her first birthday and, seeing as we haven`t much else to do, things happen” he winked, earning him a slap to the arm from me. I felt my face heat up and my cheeks began to colour a rouge colour.
“What he was meant to say is that, there may be another one on its way” I smiled leaning my head on Cals shoulder him turning and kissing my forehead, I lifted my phone up so everyone could see my sonogram as my lock screen.
“Baby hood is due October 2020, you heard it here first. The boys and family already know and it was a surprise to us all. It took us a while to fall pregnant with Luna so to fall so quickly with number two we were worried that something may go wrong. But the baby is doing well and is nice and strong so yeah we find out next week whether baby is going to be pink or blue.” Cal explained Luna clapping after he had finished talking and showing off her toothy grin.
“ Well guys thanks for tuning in and I hope you are all staying safe and following the rules and guidelines and we hope to see you soon. We have to go and put the munchkin down, now that she is rubbing her eyes and snuggling up in my hoodie. Love to you all, see ya” With that Cal logged off and smiled at me.
“Well babe there it is, the world knows that the most gorgeous baby mama is having another baby” He laughed pressing his lips to mine. I reached my hand up and cupped his cheek and deepening the kiss.
“Woah there, mama. We don`t need any more babies” he winked pulling away and helping me up with Luna.
“Cal, I hate to brake it to you but you cant get me any more pregnant than I already am” I laughed and walked up stairs to put Luna down in her crib. She instantly snuggled up with her blanket and was out like light before I had come out of her room. Cal joining me at the door and wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and moving his hand under my hoodie, using his thumb to rub small circles on my little bump. “There`s nothing more relaxing than when you rub my bump, it calms me and the baby down instantly. Its not the same when its your own hand” I whisper leaning back on Cal and looking at Luna sleeping in her crib. He doesn`t say anything just places a loving kiss to my cheek and hugs me tighter.
We woke up the following morning to Luna stood up in her crib, shouting dada. She had been making the noise all week but it hadn`t been so clear until this morning. Cal got out of bed and walked into Lunas bedroom filming the baby stood up in her crib and said “Who do you want baby” you could hear the smiled in his voice, on cue she smiled one of her toothy grins and shouts “dada” again. The camera turns around to see Cal smiling and pointing at himself.
He later uploaded the video to Instagram once we had all got up ,had breakfast and washed up. Luna going down for her morning nap. Cal sat next to me on the sofa, his arm wrapped around my shoulder and me leaning on his chest, trying to resist having a morning nap myself. “ Hey babe, look at this video I got this morning” Cal pulled up the video on Instagram and showed me a smile appearing instantly on my lips, my eyes still tired and sleep trying to over take my body. I snuggled deeper into his chest and whispered as I finally couldn`t hold back the tiredness any longer “ This next one best be a mamas boy” with that I was fast sleep on Cals chest and he let out a little laugh as he tucked my hair behind my ear where my head had fallen forward from finally giving in to sleep.
“I'm sure they will be babe”
For many families, Sunday was a day of rest. A quiet, lazy afternoon in front of the television, preparing for the new week ahead.
But not in the Hemmings household.
It was chaos, just like most days were, with all six children home, all with different plans taking place at different times. But as busy as the day was about to be, Sunday mornings were Luke’s favourite time of the week.
The day started early, like most days did, the kids slowly joining you in bed one by one. The first would be the youngest baby, Theo (or as Luke called him, Teddy, a nickname that had come naturally when you had named him) the newest addition to the Hemmings family, a sweet baby boy who you tried to feed quietly before his five big brothers and sisters joined in on the the cuddles. They were all kindhearted children, and the pair of you were lucky that they got along as well as siblings could.
“I think I can hear your sister, Teddy.” Luke cooed to the sleepy baby laid against your skin, kissing his little fist that was wrapped around Luke’s pointer finger. And he was right - the pitter patter of little footsteps could be heard from down the hall, making her way over to your bedroom. Luke saw the mass of blonde curls appear in the doorway, identical to his own, belonging to your youngest daughter, Willow. “Well, look who it is!”
“Hi Mama! Hi dada!” She called out happily, reaching her arms up towards Luke at his side of the bed, her little three year old self unable to climb up without his help. Luke lifted under her arms and pulled her onto the bed with a grunt, kissing her soft cheek and moving the wild curls out of her face, so she could see clearer.
“Good morning, sweetheart.” You smiled as she climbed over Luke and settled in-between the two of you, snuggling under the duvet to steal your warmth.
“Is Teddy sleeping, mama?” She asked softly, resting her head on your shoulder, her sleepy, curious eyes wandering over to where her baby brother was settled against your chest. His eyes were fluttering open and shut, trying to stay awake after having his first feed of the day.
“No baby, he’s just cosy after having his breakfast.”
You answered, kissing her forehead as she cuddled into you further. Willow was your most curious child, forever asking many questions and not being satisfied until she got an answer. She had especially took an interest in babies since Theo had been born, and it made your heart melt on how caring she was growing to be.
The four of you sat in a comfortable silence, the only noise being Theo’s snuffles and noises of contentment, happy to have Willow’s attention, who was busy gently stroking his cheeks and tapping his nose. The quiet didn’t last for long, though - it never did when your seven year old twins, Oscar and Arlo, were around. They were excitable, boisterous and noisy from the moment that they woke up, and you and Luke always wondered where they got their energy from.
“Good morning, boys!” Luke exclaimed, as they thundered towards the bed and jumped onto it. You heard an ‘oooft’ from your husband as Arlo landed on his stomach, too excited to join you for cuddles to think about where he was landing. Luke pulled the two boys against his chest - one under each arm - and tickled their sides, revelling in the giggles and shrieks of happiness that came from their mouths. Your heart warmed at the sight, seeing three of your five boys interacting happily.
“I think it’s about time we got up and started the day, don’t you loves?” You asked the several children that were scattered around your giant bed. The bed felt empty without the presence of your children - it always felt a little more complete, when they were settled in between you and Luke. “How about some breakfast?”
It was only 7:30am, far too early for a Sunday morning, but you were conscious that there were five other children in the house that needed breakfast, as well as getting Oscar and Arlo ready for their football practice at 9am. Luke always took them - it was their time together every week, and it gave you chance to get some housework done, and make sure all four school uniforms were washed and ironed, ready for the week ahead.
“I’ll take the baby, love. I’ll check on Poppy and Gray, and make sure everyone is down for breakfast, yeah?” Luke suggested, and you nodded at the familiar routine, passing a drowsy Theo over to his dad’s waiting arms, hearing him whine a little at the loss of your warm chest. Luke shushed him and he soon settled, his soft cheek smushed up against Luke’s neck as he held him close to his body. “Shall we go wake your brother up, bubs?”
Luke kissed your lips softly before the two of you left the room, knowing Sunday’s never left you much time to spend together. It was always a busy day, so Luke snook in kisses and affection whenever he could. After having six children, it wasn’t about the expensive date nights or staying out really late anymore - it was passing kisses whilst feeding the baby, or during bath time, or cuddling after you managed to get all of the kids in bed. It was showing love in anyway that you could, which wasn’t difficult to do when there were six children in the house that loved each other, and their parents, unconditionally.
Your oldest son Grayson, at 13, was becoming more independent as he grew into his teenage years. He no longer joined you in bed on a Sunday, which would’ve hurt your heart more at him growing up if it wasn’t for the four younger babies that were always in there instead. Luke knocked on the door lightly before opening it, Theo’s wide eyes looking around the room for his oldest brother. As expected, he was still sound asleep in his bed, which Luke didn’t blame him for. He saw no reason to wake him up - he didn’t have any plans, and Luke knew he had stayed up late playing the guitar last night, the sound of the strings echoing through the halls. It reminded Luke of when he first started playing guitar at a similar age to his son, and it warmed his heart that Grayson had followed in his footsteps.
He could already hear the sound of Poppy typing on her laptop as he walked down the hall and approached her bedroom, knowing she’d have been awake for a while. Sunday morning was her quiet time to get as much homework done as possible, which she enjoyed, as it meant she was being productive as well as learning at the same time. She was the most academic child, and you and Luke were so proud of all of her achievements. She was passionate about learning and educating herself as well as others, and Luke wondered where she got her academic capabilities from, as he knew he definitely wasn’t him.
“Good morning, my little flower!” She spun around in her chair from her spot on the desk, a smile on her face at the sight of her dad and baby brother, even though she rolled her eyes at the nickname. ‘Little flower’ has stuck ever since she was born and named Poppy, and she was sure Luke would never stop with the embarrassing nickname.
“Morning, Dad! Hi Teddy.” She made her way over to the pair, kissing Theo’s cheek before doing the same to Luke. Theo grinned against Luke’s shoulder - he was happy to have any attention from anyone, but it made him even happier when it was from one of his siblings.
“You okay, Pops? What are you working on?” He asked curiously, glancing at her laptop screen and noticing she was half way through an essay of sorts.
“Just some English homework.” She replied, sitting back down at her desk and making sure the page in her current reading book was saved with a bookmark.
“Well Mum’s doing breakfast soon, so come down when you’re ready, okay?” She agreed and he left he to work, quietly shutting the door behind him. He made his way down the stairs and could already hear commotion in the kitchen, just as he expected. “Let’s go see what chaos is waiting for us in the kitchen, huh Teddy?”
The scene in front of him was just as he anticipated - you were trying to strap Willow into her high chair, much to her dismay, as she watched her twin brother chase eachother around the dinner table. The smell of pancakes filled his senses, which was the typical Sunday morning treat in the house. He set Theo down in his bouncer, switching on the lights and sounds above his head to keep him entertained.
“C’mon boys, sit down at the table and wait for breakfast, please?” He asked calmly, knowing he wouldn’t get anywhere with raising his voice at them. Thankfully they listened and took their seats at the table, and Willow followed their lead and let you sit her down too. He took over cooking the pancakes, seeing that you were pre-occupied and not wanting them to burn.
He jumped a little when he felt your arms wrap around his waist, hands linking over his abs. You pressed a kiss to his shoulder blade and he spun you around in his arms, moving to rest his hands on your lower back. You kissed his lips several times as he pulled you closer to your body, assuming the children were entertaining themselves, until he heard Willow pipe up.
“Daddy? Why do you kiss mama so much?” His inquisitive little girl asked. He chuckled at the question, kissing your lips once more before letting you continue with breakfast.
“Because I love her so much, baby.” He started, moving to where she was sat and squishing her rosy cheeks gently in his hands, before kissing her forehead, nose and then her pouty lips. “And I kiss you, because I love you too!”
He smiled at the giggles that fell from her lips, setting out plates on the kitchen counter ready for you to serve up breakfast. He checked on Theo, who was content to kick his chubby legs up at the toys above him. You placed a few pancakes on each plate along with some fresh fruit, hoping to get your youngest children to eat something healthy. Your heart melted as you heard a “thank you mama!” from each child when you set the plate down in front of them.
Poppy appeared in the kitchen moments later with a “good morning, mum!” and you started on a new batch of pancakes, as she joined her siblings at the table.
Breakfast eaten and the kitchen cleaned, Luke headed upstairs with Oscar and Arlo to get them ready for their weekly football lesson. Everyone fell into the usual routine - Theo went down for a nap, and Poppy went back to work on her homework, Willow following close behind her, trying to convince her to play instead of working.
Luke took the twins off to play football, giving you time to clean the house and bath Theo and Willow, whilst Grayson and Poppy did any last minute homework that they needed to do in preparation for school. The peace didn’t last for long though - it never did. The boys came bounding back through the door two hours later, covered in mud as you expected, Luke calling behind them not to sit down anywhere until they were showered and changed.
“We’re back, mum!” They shouted in unison, leaving their dirty football boots by the door, entering the kitchen where you were chopping vegetables in preparation for your traditional Sunday dinner. Theo was back in his bouncer, his eyes lighting up at the sight of his brothers and dad entering the room.
“I missed you, boys! How was the match?” You asked, and then listened to them telling you all about who scored goals, and the new skills that they had learned. Luke smiled at the sight, always feeling a sense of pride after watching his boys play football so well. They scampered off upstairs, following Luke’s instructions to not get mud all over the house.
“Did you miss me too?” Luke asked you quietly, wrapping his arms around you from behind. He pressed a kiss to your temple, holding you close to him whilst he had the chance in the busy day.
“You’ve only been gone for two hours.” You replied playfully and he gasped, as you covered a pan of carrots before turning around to face him. “I’m kidding, Lu. Of course I missed you.”
“I missed you.” He pouted at you, his plump lips just calling out for you to kiss them. You obliged, lacing your lips with his as you appreciated a moment of quiet with your husband, knowing it would soon be over. You were right - you soon heard Oscar’s voice, calling out for Luke to help him in the shower. Luke sighed against your mouth. “Well, that was nice whilst it lasted.”
“Go on, super dad.” You laughed softly, kissing him once more before he broke away and made his way upstairs to help his boys. It was a busy Sunday, as it always was, chaotic, loud, and messy. But neither of you would have it any other way - it was familiar, it was your family. And you wouldn’t change a thing.

the house was abuzz with the sounds of laughter and running feet, noise slipping under the closed bathroom door as you sat on the sink top, Ashton between your legs, his hands rubbing your bare thighs as you both waited for the pregnancy stick.
there was a loud thud, followed by Luke’s voice yelling “don’t climb that!”
you and Ashton smiled at each other, glad that his friends were over for the night to take care of your three little monsters while you and Ashton shared this private moment alone.
he’d always wanted a big family.
and you were so in love with him when you’d met and then gotten married that it had just sort of happened. your first pregnancy had resulted in twins. two boys, Flynn and Ronan.
they had been a menace.
but you and Ashton had never been more in love with your small little family.
you’d gotten pregnant again a year later and the love and excitement you had felt during your first pregnancy appeared all over again.
your little girl, Nell, had been born and she was a daddies girl the moment she was placed in Ashton’s arms.
that had been two years ago.
three kids was difficult but Ashton’s band mates had stepped up.
your kids loved Uncle Cal because he knew how to cook a great grilled cheese sandwich. he’d come over and do movie nights with the kids to give you and Ashton time to rest or have a date night every now and again.
Nell’s favourite was Luke and she was always getting him to lift her up so she felt taller while Flynn and Ronan tugged at his long legs. they were always mischievous with Luke around because try as he might, he could never keep a straight face when telling your kids what they weren’t allowed to do.
and Michael was a dream baby sitter. the twins thought he was the coolest guy in the universe, with his dyed hair and video game tattoos. uncle Mikey always brought candy for them and he just lit up the moment he walked through the door.
now, with two four year olds and one two year old, it seemed right that you might be pregnant again.
your phone buzzed, signalling that the stick should be done and ready to give you the news.
“should i look or do you want to?” Ashton asked, fingers drawing circles on your thighs as he looked into your eyes, scared to look anywhere else or risk seeing the results.
“together?” you suggested.
“no matter what, you know i love you right?” Ashton grinned, dimples showing as he leaned in and kissed you softly.
“love you too.” you took a deep breath, “okay, three, two, one.”
-------
Michael sat between the twins, a nintendo switch in his hands as they leaned on his arms, watching him play Mario Kart. your boys had insisted on coming to the appointment but had easily been convinced to stay outside with Michael.
the gel was cold against your belly and Ashton squeezed your hand, offering you a smile while slowly rocking your sleeping two year old who was cradled against his chest in her little pink onesie.
you both looked at the screen and Ashton let out a shaky breath, “twins?”
“yes, how did you know?” your nurse smiled.
“we already have two boys.” you explained, “they’re outside.”
“well, congratulations. would you two like to know the gender?”
“yes please.” Ashton was grinning so wide you thought his face must have hurt but you knew the feeling.
“so this one on the left is a boy, and the one on the right is a girl.”
Ashton squeezed your hand again and you turned to grin at him, noticing his eyes were slightly watery, “aw baby,” you cooed, “you okay?”
“i just... i never get used to this.” he said, taking his hand away from yours to wipe at his eyes before looking down at the sleeping child in his arms, “you’re going to have a contender little bug.”
you smiled and let out a shaky breath, “five kids. are you worried?”
“of course not.” Ashton laughed, “after this we can have a whole team.”
“what are you-”
“basketball. five players. we have a whole team.” Ashton explained.
“you are wild.” you laughed.
he smiled at you, “you love me.”
“yeah. i do.”
-------
you were asleep in the middle of the bed, your small bump already showing under the shirt you wore to sleep. Ronan and Flynn were both cuddled against your side, fast asleep. Ashton on your other side with Nell snuggled between you and him.
the first rays of warm sunlight were seeping into the room and Ashton looked at the four of you. his happy family. maybe not so little anymore, especially with the two munchkins growing inside of you.
Ashton reached over Nell, his hand resting on your stomach. he adored the small bump already and what it meant.
Nell began to move, waking up at Ashton’s movements, “morning bug,” he whispered, “what do you say we head to the kitchen and make mommy breakfast?”
Nell rubbed her eyes but nodded, small hands reaching out to grab the front of Ashton’s shirt as he lifted her up and got out of the bed, carrying her down to the kitchen. he wanted to carry her while cooking but the three times he’d tried it before had not worked so, much to her dismay, he set Nell in her chair.
“sing dada.” she said, still rubbing the sleep from her eyes before stretching her little arms over her head and yawning loudly.
“what do you want me to sing Princess?”
Nell shrugged, “dunno.”
Ashton laughed, admiring his princess for a second. her beautiful curly hair and the dimples in her cheeks that she got from him. he began to sing “you’re insecure, don’t know what for, you’re turning heads-”
Nell let out a small streak, covering her face with her hands, “not dat one dada!” she laughed.
“why not Princess? don’t you like One Direction?”
“no.” Nell said stubbornly.
“you know, i used to be friends with them-”
“sing your own song.”
Ashton laughed again, giving in immediately. there was no use even pretending not to be completely wrapped around his little girls finger. he began to sing one of their older songs and Nell frowned, making him stop, “now what bug?”
“sing the heart one?”
“the heart one.” Ashton repeated.
“black heart.”
“that’s Uncle Mikey’s song, bug.”
“sing it.”
Ashton rolled his eyes and began singing while he cooked breakfast.
he was just about to flip the last pancake when you came down the stairs, a twin holding each hand. “pancakes!” Flynn grinned, running towards his dad who scooped him up, settling the child on his hip with one hand.
“hey there lil man.” Ashton smiled.
“flip the pancake!” Flynn instructed.
“okay master chef.” Ashton laughed. it was a bit of a struggle to flip the pancake with just one hand but he managed, earning claps from everyone, “thank you enthusiastic audience participants.”
“those are some big words,” you smiled, running a hand through Nell’s curls, “right Nelly?”
she nodded, looking with big eyes at her dad.
you helped Ronan get up to his chair before sitting down and watching Ashton cook. it was sweet domestic moments like this that solidified the fact that you’d found your soulmate.
Ashton set Flynn down, “set the table bub.” he said, reaching the plates from the high shelf before handing them to the four year old who was more than eager to bring them over to you. you stood and set the plates at the bigger family table instead of the island area you’d been sitting at while watching Ashton.
the kids all sat down at their seats and you went to help Ashton but he shook his hand, “take a seat Sweetheart, i got this.”
he brought the pancakes and the bacon over to the table, grabbing everything you needed before sitting down. he looked at you with a smile as you served the kids. he adored the way you knew exactly what each kid wanted to eat.
Ronan always said he wanted a full pancake but he could only ever get through half of one. and he was a menace on the bacon, always asking for at least six pieces.
Nell liked Ronan’s other half of the pancake and no bacon.
and Flynn liked a whole pancake smothered in syrup and only two pieces of bacon.
Ashton waited until everyone had food before grabbing some for himself.
you all ate and chatted. Flynn and Ronan had just started taking karate lessons and they were super excited to show their moves, Ashton settled them down by promising they could karate chop him to their hearts content after breakfast.
and as always, Ashton did everything in his power to make Nell laugh.
you watched with an amused smile while he stole Ronan’s last piece of bacon and then pretended he hadn’t. “what? where did my bacon go?!” Ronan asked while looking around wildly.
“i don’t know where your bacon is Ro.”
“you took it!” Ronan screeched, pointing at his dada.
“i did not!” Ashton said in mock shock.
“yes you did dada!” Nell insisted.
you finished breakfast and Ashton eyed you, “you sure you’re full Sweetheart.”
“yeah.” you said, hands on the small bump of your belly, “feels like i’ve eaten a house!”
your kids all laughed and Ashton grinned as Flynn hopped off his chair and came to press his face against your stomach, “hi babies!”
you smiled and looked up at Ashton who gave you a look, “you’re eating for three darling, just want to make sure you’re not hungry.”
“i’m fine.” you assured him.
when breakfast finished you stood up to clean but Ashton waved his hand again, “sit down babe, i got this.” you watched him clean up with a smile, admiring his strong shoulders under his sleeping shirt. the way his honey curls looked in the sunlight. you loved him and you’d love him until the day you died.
-----------
Ashton’s strong hand helped you into the warm water before he got in behind you. you leaned back against his chest as his arms wrapped around you, hands settling on your large belly.
“i feel like a balloon ready to pop.” you groaned, resting your head against Ashton’s shoulder as he pressed his cheek against yours.
“due date is soon sweetheart.” he mused.
you both sat there, enjoying the closeness and the quiet.
“thank god for Luke and Cal agreeing to take the kids.” you sighed.
“i’m pretty sure they wanted to see the Disney movie anyways, our kids are just an excuse for them to be in the theatre.” Ashton chuckled slightly, fingers lightly brushing over your skin.
you groaned when Stella, your baby girl moved. she’d been getting fussy. Ashton joked that she was just excited to meet you guys.
Ashton’s fingers immediately began lightly tapping over where Stella should be in your stomach. you’d found out a week before that Stella calmed down to the beats that Ashton liked to play on your skin.
Stella stopped fussing and you smiled. Ashton was an amazing dad and it was something you adored about him.
before long, you’d fallen asleep. Ashton smiled, pressing a kiss against your shoulder. he loved you and your growing family more than he’d loved anything in his entire life. and in moments like these he thanked whatever god brought you two together.
----------------------
the days leading up to your due date were hectic. Luke, Calum and Michael were all staying at the house with you and Ashton, two of them always there in case it happened. Ashton refused to leave so Calum did most of the grocery shopping.
everyone was on edge, even the kids.
the Twins were excited to have two more siblings and Flynn had taken to talking to your belly and falling asleep against it. and wherever Flynn went, Ronan followed. so most night, Ashton would get to bed, Nell in his arms, and find you asleep with the twins.
you were cooking with Calum when your water broke.
Calum turned the stove off immediately, helping you to a chair, “i’m going to grab Ashton.” he said, voice calm and collected.
he ran out to the yard where Ashton was allowing the twins to karate chop him to their hearts content while Nell laughed.
Ashton ran into the house, almost slipping on the floor from where your water had broken, “shit!” he yelled.
your eyed widened as a chorus of “daddy said a bad word!” erupted from the twins who were running after him and Nell simply laughed from where she was in Calum’s arms.
“Luke! Michael!” Ashton screamed.
Luke and Michael both came running, wide eyed and ready to help.
“Luke, get the hospital bag. Michael, help me get Y/N to the car. Calum, get Nelly in her car seat with the twins.” Ashton instructed as Michael ran over to help you stand up.
“which car?” Calum asked, walking after you, Ashton and Michael while the twins practically bounced around at his feet.
“i’ll drive Y/N with Michael, you and Luke can take the kids in your car is that okay?” Ashton asked.
Calum nodded, his car still had the car seat from the other day when he had taken Nelly to get ice cream.
you took a deep breath, “Ashton we’re about to have two more kids.”
he smiled at you, helping you into the car, “yeah, we are.”
“i love you.”
he grabbed your face, kissing you, “i love you too.”
----------
all the nintendo switches in the world couldn’t have distracted the twins who were all but bouncing around the waiting room while Michael tried to get them to sit down.
Nelly had fallen asleep on Luke’s chest and Calum went to go get snacks to settle the twins down.
in the delivery room, Ashton’s hand kept you grounded as you followed the doctors instructions. “okay, i need you to push now.”
“you got this.” Ashton said, kissing your knuckles.
the first one out was Stella.
Ashton laughed as the nurse announced, “it’s a beautiful baby girl.”
because of course the fussy, drum loving baby would be first.
while Stella got cleaned, you pushed out the baby boy, who you’d decided to name Henry.
Ashton kissed your hand one more time before pulling away to go stand with the nurses who were cleaning the twins. Stella was done first and the nurse set her in Ashton’s arms.
he cooed at her, “hey princess.”
he brought her over to you and you you melted at how small she was in his massive arms. he had the same look he’d had when he first held Nell. not that he hadn’t looked that way with Ronan and Flynn but there was just something about the girls, a protective aspect that was a bit different.
you held out your arms and Ashton settled her in them while he went to go get Henry.
when he returned with your new baby boy you both melted.
after a little while Ashton asked if you wanted him to grab the kids. you nodded and let him set Henry in one of your arms so you had both babies cradled against your chest.
Ashton kissed your forehead, muttering an ‘i love you’ before leaving. in the waiting room, Calum had just calmed down the twins but when Ashton entered they jumped up again, “Daddy!”
their screams woke Nell who yawned and buried her face against Luke’s chest, gripping at his green shirt while he stood, big blue eyes wide.
Ashton smiled, kneeling on the ground, “you two wanna meet your new team mates?” he asked.
they laughed, both saying “yes yes yes!”
“is Y/N okay?” Calum asked.
“she’s fine, it went perfect.” Ashton assured them, “i’m going to let these munchkins in to see her and Cal maybe you can come too? then if you wouldn’t mind, maybe you can take the kids home, it’s pretty late.”
Cal nodded, “yeah, sure.”
“Nelly do you wanna come see your new brother and sister?” Ashton asked.
she made a face, and then tears began to flow, “what if you like them better than me?” she hid her face in Luke’s shirt who looked at Ashton, not sure what to do.
“aw, love bug, don’t think that.” Ashton assured her, coming and holding out his arms, he coaxed her to let go of Luke, “i love all of you Princess. you, and Ronan, and Flynn-”
“and mama?” Nell asked.
“especially mama.” Ashton smiled, “i have enough love for all of you, you’ll always be my little bug, Nelly, you know that.” he wiped away her tears, “you ready to meet your brother and sister?”
she nodded, resting her face against his shoulder.
Ronan and Flynn grabbed Calum’s hands and Ashton led them to the delivery room.
“there are my babies.” you smiled when they entered.
“yeah, we’re all here.” Calum grinned and you laughed.
Flynn and Ronan ran to the bed, peering up at the babies.
Calum went on one side of you while Ashton went on the other, Ashton’s hand going to rest on Ronan’s head while Nell peered down at the babies from where Ashton held her.
“they’re beautiful Y/N.” Calum smiled at you.
“want to hold one?” you asked.
Calum’s eyes widened and Ashton’s heart swelled in his chest, “yeah.”
“here take Stella.” you said, motioning for the one closest to him. Calum gently took her from your arms before he squatted down on his knees so Flynn, who had been standing next to him, could see his new sister.
“she’s so small.” Flynn smiled, gently reaching out a finger to touch Stella’s hand.
“here Nelly, why don’t you sit with mama?” Ashton suggested, moving so Nell was sitting on the bed. he lifted up Ronan so all of you could look at Henry.
while your kids looked at their new brother, your eyes went up to Ashton who grinned down at you. it was a silent ‘i love you’ but it was obvious you were both feeling it. you were always feeling it, every moment.
-----
Flynn was on Calum’s shoulders while Ronan was on Ashton’s as they tried to push each other in the pool, a game Ashton called chicken fight.
“get him Ronan, get him!” Ashton encouraged.
“dad!” Flynn screamed, looking at his father like he was a traitor while his twin tried to push him of Calum’s shoulders.
“you’ve got this Flynn!” Calum said, also encouraging the five year olds.
you sat with Michael and Luke in the shade, watching the fun. Henry was in your arms and Michael had Stella while Nell sat with Luke and Petunia.
the first months had been very stressful. you and Ash never asked for help but the other three always showed up, ready to take the kids for a few hours.
Ronan and Flynn had both just started kindergarden which made life easier.
“i’m going to get lunch started.” you said, handing Henry off to Luke.
“you sure you don’t want me to do it?” Luke asked.
“Luke. i wouldn’t let you feed my children if you were the last cook in the world.” you smiled.
Ashton watched you go inside, “hey guys, i think you should swim with Uncle Cal for a bit, i’ll be right back.”
Ronan and Flynn both groaned but Ashton carefully took Ronan off his shoulders, setting the child into the water and holding him until he began to kick his feet and flap his limbs that were wrapped with arm floaties, “you good rock star?” Ashton asked, making sure before he let go of his kid.
“yeah!” Ronan smiled.
Ronan and Flynn were both really good swimmers and Cal was there in case, as Ashton got out of the pool he felt no worry, drying off before entering the house and closing the sliding door behind him.
you were humming to yourself, one of their old songs, and it made Ashton smile as he wrapped his arms around your waist, pressing a kiss to your shoulder, “can’t believe you still sing that song.”
“she looks so perfect is a national treasure Mr. Irwin.” you smiled, continuing to make sandwiches.
“hmm, debatable, mrs. Irwin.” he smiled against your skin.
his hands teased the skin under your shirt at the waistband of your pants. “Ashton!” you laughed.
“baby number six.” he teased.
“or with our luck, six and seven seeing as for some reason my womb likes twins.” you rolled your eyes.
Ashton’s lips stayed on your neck, “i’m thinking one more, then we can have a hockey or volleyball team.”
“really?” you grinned.
“train them for the olympics or something.”
you laughed, finally setting down the butterknife as you turned around to face him, arms going around his neck, “have i ever told you how much i love you?”
“every day baby.” he grinned, “have I ever told you how much i love you?”
“every hour baby.” you smiled. your gaze went over his shoulder and out the window and you laughed, “babe look, Ronan and Flynn are teaming up on Calum again.”
Ashton turned around, moving you in front of him with your back against his chest again, he chuckled when he saw Flynn on Calum’s back and Ronan attached to one of his arms as Calum waded through the water pretending to be Godzilla.
“i’m so happy.” you whispered, looking at Luke who had Henry on his chest and was singing softly to Nell who was asleep with her head on Petunia’s stomach. and Michael, rocking Stella to the sound of Luke’s voice.
the man you loved stood behind you, chin on your shoulder as his arms provided safety around you, “me too Sweetheart. me too.”
ok for dad!ashton you should do one where the little princess asks him if he can adopt her so he can officially be her dad!!!
Hiya! I was wondering for like the Daddy Ashton series, if maybe whenever you decide to end it, if you could have the reader and Ashton at their wedding day and Ashton is all nervous because he’s been working hard on his vows for months. Then in the middle of his vows he drops a bomb saying he loves someone else, someone they’re close it, someone else has his heart. And the reader’s heart drops. Ashton walks away and kneels to your daughter bc he wrote cute little vows for her as well.2/2 (from the wedding one) in like a cute father/daughter way. Everyone in the room is just in tears. Reader is hysterical bc Ashton scared tf outta her but also bc that’s so damn cute and that’s when he asks your daughter for her to take his last name too
you should write about ashton adopting her or maybe she even asks ashton to adopt her so he can be her “real dad”?
Ok can the eventual part of the daddy!ash fic where they get married include ash saying vows to his princess during the wedding bc I’m a sucker for those kinds of things :,)
and then a proposal? and then a wedding? and then telling the lil princess that she’s going to be a big sister? i’m dead

All of y’all came for my god damn heart. I cried writing most of this honestly. I love it so much. I hope you guys love it too.
5k of literal fluff. Like that’s it. Pure, tooth aching sweetness.

Spending the night away from Ashton was never new to you.
The amount of nights you’d spent from each other whilst he was touring was certainly racking up into the years portion of your lives, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
But being away from him the day before your wedding, there was little sleep involved. You were too excited, too jittery to relax. It was only after the numbers hit three in the morning did you get any sleep.
So when your little girl came bounding in the next morning with Lauren and Anne, you were greeted with coffee and a plate of toast as well, despite the seven am start.
“How are you feeling?” Anne asked kindly as she sat on top of the covers as your princess sat cuddled into your side.
“Excited. I think it’s just because there’s going to be so many faces...” You hesitated and Anne giggled.
“This is where it becomes real for you and it’s just hitting you.”
“Yeah.” You breathed out in relief and she smiled.
“Don’t worry, today will be fine. Plus there are all sorts of surprises for you both tonight.” This made you chuckle as your daughter finally reclaimed your attention.
“Mommy, will we see daddy when we’re getting ready?” You smiled before planting a kiss to her cheeks.
“Not till later, princess. Don’t forget you’re going back with nana for the next two weeks!” Anne giggled as she caught her granddaughter with ease and planted a sloppy kiss on her cheek, making her giggle.
“The photographer is due to arrive in the next thirty minutes. We’re trying to document the entire day. There’s another one with Ashton doing the same thing.
“As long as the boys listened to my rules...” Lauren laughed.
“Oh they did. They are far too scared to upset you, especially when you do the disappointed mom voice.” This made both you and Anne laugh as you pulled yourself from the bed, pulling on one of Ashton’s shirts and hoodies, followed with black leggings.
“He’s going to laugh when he sees the photos of you looking that cosy.” Anne commented and you grinned.
“You should have seen him when our little monster picked up one of his hoodies and put it on. She absolutely drowned in it but he positively melted. The second she said that she loved it because it smelled like him, he’s promised to wear it as often before tour so she can wear it and smell him.” Anne laughed as you all made your way downstairs, Lauren running ahead with your little girl.
“Has he discussed with you about the surprise?” Anne asked quietly as you headed into the kitchen, staying clear of the living room where the other two were sat quietly watching cartoons.
“He’s planning on doing it as a part of the reception. I don’t know anything else though.” You murmured in return as you washed up the few plates.
When the photographer arrived, she introduced herself as Liza and explained how she was going to take the photos. And as Shay turned up with Natalie in tow, the group growing even more when Crystal showed up the day was starting to feel a lot more real to you.
As you got ready, Liza capturing the softer moments, especially when the two of you took a moment to lie together, you still in leggings and ashtons tshirt, the veil in both of your hands as she asked you about what would happen.
“Well princess, your dad and I are gonna go on holiday for a few weeks. You’ll stay with Nana. Then when we get home, we’ll be a proper family.”
She seemed to hesitate, her eyes focused on the veil in her hands before she turned to you, her eyes showing uncertainty.
“Will daddy be upset if I asked if I could have his last name as well? I like ours, but we won’t be family.” You heard the soft click of the shutter as you pulled her closer, her arms wrapping around you as you placed a kiss to the top of her head, willing yourself not to cry or ruin the surprise.
“He would never be upset if you asked, angel. You’re his princess, you know he adores you. How about, after the ceremony, you ask him, yeah?”
She nodded her head against you and you took another moment to compose yourself before pulling back to see the tears in her eyes. You carefully wiped them away.
“No crying baby, gotta save all those tears for later when daddy makes us cry with his speech.” This made you both giggle, ignoring the shutter sounds once more.
As the day progressed and you slipped into your dress, you had already watched the others get dressed and helped when they needed it. You knew that your little girl was excited to be apart of the bridal party.
As Anne stepped back once the dress was done up, you could feel your breathing hitch at the sight of both Anne and Shay with tears, making your own heart swell.
“If you two set me off, there’s going to be hell to pay, we only just got the make-up done.” This set off the laughter and helped the three of you compose yourselves.
“Mama, you look so pretty.” You smiled at your little girl as you pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
“So do you, princess. Now, I think it’s time we start heading out to the cars, don’t you?” This earned a gleeful cheer, both girls rushing ahead.
“You realise there will be paps, desperately trying to get pictures of your dress?” Crystal asked quietly. You nodded.
“I’m learning that peace is a thing of the past considering Ash is the first of the band to get married. That’s why we have the cape.” You nodded to the large cape that had been hung up by the door. “It was the first thing Ashton insisted on buying when I said we were going dress shopping.”
Crystal laughed as the two of you moved and she helped get your dress covered.
Anne doubled checked that the dress couldn’t be seen and helped you get from the house to the waiting cars.
“Y/N! Give us a pretty show of the dress!” You laughed.
“Not a chance. You’ll see this dress in the official photographs.” You called back as you slid into the car.
On the drive to the venue, you could feel your hands begin to shake and the bubble of excitement was building up.
Once you’d arrived, You were hustled into a smaller prep room. There was still another ten minutes till you were to walk down to Ashton.
There was a knock at the door and Anne went to check it first, before opening it and Michael stepped in.
“Looking very handsome there, Mike.” You teased and he grinned as he stepped forward and kissed your cheek.
“Yet you’re the one looking absolutely radiant today.” He returned and you laughed.
“Crystal is behind you.” This set the room off in laughter and you felt yourself relax as he took your hands and squeezed them softly.
“How is he?”
“It’s like he’s been on red bull. He’s practically vibrating with excitement. Pretty sure there’s going to be a photo of Cal practically pinning him down so we could get his hair done because he would not stop moving. Almost certain the stylist hates him.”
Anne snorted and you grinned.
He glanced at the watch on his wrist and you let out a slow breath of air.
“It’ll be fine. And hey, I just wanted to say that I’m glad he found you. He’s a better person because of you and our favourite princess.” He grinned at her as she waved at him.
“Please don’t make me cry before I get down the aisle.” He laughed as he dropped another kiss to your cheek.
“Relax. Love you.” You giggled as he pulled away, stopping only to give Crystal a brief kiss and then disappeared out of the door.
“I need to go and take my seat sweetheart, but I wanted you to know that I know your mom can’t be here. But you’ve crafted this wonderful family and you know she’s watching over you both. You’re only becoming my daughter-in-law and I’m utterly proud of you, so I know without any doubt she’d be proud of you too.” Anne murmured and it took everything to hold back the sob as a tear fell.
“Thank you.” You whispered, your arms tightening around her in response.
She dabbed the tear away and checked that nothing was ruined. She kissed Lauren on the cheek before heading back out and Shay stood in front of you.
“I swear to god if you say anything that makes me cry, I will throw my bouquet in the bin.” You warned playfully, making Crystal giggle.
“Just let me say that I’m proud of you. I’ll save the rest for my speech.” This made you groan before Shay turned to Natalie.
“C’mon baby, you’re up first. When you reach the bottom, go sit with your daddy, okay?” Natalie nodded, wrapping her arms around your midsection before she took her basket and it hit you.
This was really happening.
Shay opened the door and you made your way to the doors and you could feel your heart pick up a little before you reminded yourself that it was your best friend waiting for you.
Neither of you had wanted the traditional wedding march, so instead, you had a harpist and the opening notes to Tenerife Sea began to play and Lauren began her walk down the aisle, followed by Crystal who was then followed by your little girl, then Shay.
You took a deep breath before following after and your heart practically stuttered at everyone watching you. Your eyes trailed over the place, eyes taking in the details. You could see the groomsmen, Michael, Luke and Harry grinning at you.
Your eyes watched as Calum leaned over to Ashton and whispered something in his ear. As he turned and watched you, you couldn’t help but let out a small giggle as his hand reached up immediately wiping under his eyes and you could understand the feeling.
As you reached him and handed your bouquet off to Shay, he took both of yours within his, bringing them to his lips momentarily.
“You look breathtaking, love.” His words made your heart flutter as you turned back to the official.
When asked if there was any objections, the two of you shared a look of amusement as silence, almost as if people weren’t daring to breathe. When the official moved onto the vows, unable to help yourselves, the two of you shared a quiet giggle.
“And now, the couple will exchange their vows.” They turned to you and you felt your cheeks warm before turning to Ashton. His thumb rubbed gentle circles into the back of your hand and you smiled at him.
“I had a whole song and dance routine prepared, but my heels and dress prevent me from doing that.” Laughter scattered throughout the room and Ashton grinned. You relaxed. “Through our highs and lows, you’ve been nothing but the person who has continually made me fall in love every single day. I got so lucky meeting you and even with everything we’ve dealt with, I will continue to be that support for you when you need someone, to kiss those bad days better and hold you when the world is falling to pieces. But I will also be the person who will share those joys, the days where you’re on top of the world and nothing can touch you. I want to and will share it all with you as we get older.”
You knew there would be tears escaping, his free hand lifting up to catch them, but you never expected his own. So you reciprocated, lifting your hand to wipe at his tear before leaning your hand resting on his cheek. He leaned into the touch, turning his head to kiss your palm before placing his hand over it and bringing both of your hands between you.
“I’ve never known such a love like yours. A love that is so fierce and so bright that it can bring me to my knees. I will forever thank whatever fates brought us together because I have loved every moment of our lives together so far. But there’s someone else.” A pin could be heard in the room and you felt your heart freeze for a second as you tried to figure out what he was doing, tears gathering in the corners of your eyes.
It was only when he moved to just behind you where your princess stood with the other bridesmaids and you felt a sob break through as he knelt in front of her, your brain finally catching up with the planned surprise.
Looks like he was going ahead earlier than expected.
“The day I met you, I was so nervous because I didn’t want to mess it up. I knew that if you didn’t like me, I was gonna be out of your life. So I did what any wise person would do, I bribed you with a giant teddy that has never left your room.”
You felt a tissue get pressed into your hand and you didn’t know who it was or bother to look as you dabbed at your eyes, trying desperately not to ruin the makeup. You could see the tears on your little girls face falling.
“When you called me your dad, I knew then, you’d chosen me for good. And I will continue to be the best dad to you, but on one condition. Will you take my last name, so we can be a proper family?”
You chanced a glance at the official who wore the biggest smile and you realised that Ashton had this planned out from day one.
You watched as your little girl, in flood of tears, nodded her head as she threw her arms around his neck. He brought her back to where you stood, and you leaned up, placing a kiss to her cheek before Ashton placed her on her feet, between the two of you.
The official continued the ceremony and when he was told to kiss his bride and daughter, he planted a soft kiss to your little girls cheek before his arms pulled you closer to him, your lips meeting his and the room went up in cheers.
“Hi Mrs. Irwin.” Your heart soared.
“Hi Mr. Irwin.” His lips pulled back into the biggest smile before he turned his attention to your little girl, pulling her into his arms.
“And hello to you Miss Irwin.” The grin on her face made your heart positively melt and the tears were coming back in full force as you were introduced as ‘the Irwin family’.
As the bridesmaids and groomsmen paired off, Calum leading the way as Best Man with Shay on his arm, you couldn’t help but see your little girl positively beamed up at him when you overheard him say “Can I take your arm, Miss Irwin?”
You felt on top of the world as you stepped into the registry office, signing the documents that had you legally married to him and you felt like you could soar.
“Did the papers go through then?” You asked quietly once the photos were taken and the two of you were getting ready to go out.
“They went through and were cleared. She’s officially my daughter now.” And despite the fact that they knew they had only a certain time to get out of there, you pulled him in for a searing kiss that had both of you panting, his forehead resting against yours.
“God I can’t believe I got lucky with you, my kind and loving husband.” You finally whispered and he laughed, wiping the few stray tears that had escaped the corners of your eyes.
“You’ve given me the precious gift of a family. And she may not be biologically mine, but I’ll raise her right.” And you knew that he would.
Despite everything that your little family had suffered, the three of you were still a family and you’d weathered the storm. And here were the better days.
Your little girl, once over her tears of joy at having his last name, was practically vibrating with excitement when she rushed to the two of you as you stepped outside to the cheers of your friends and family.
Ashton didn’t hesitate to scoop her up, earning a shriek of delight.
“We’re a real family now! You’re my real daddy!”
And off went your waterworks as she clung to him tightly, pressing kisses all over his face which made him laugh and your heart soared.
You stood around for the official photographs, unable to hide your giggles when Luke had swung your daughter up onto his back and she was positively beaming in the photo. It didn’t take too long, the photographer working quickly before allowing you to start to move ahead to the reception.
Even though you’d originally asked Anne to take her in the car with the rest of the family, you knew she wasn’t about to relinquish her hold on Ashton, and you honestly didn’t mind as he helped you into the car first, followed by your daughter practically launching herself at you and then Ashton slid in behind her.
The two of you shared a softer kiss, his hand reaching up to trace the back of his fingers against your cheek, your head automatically leaning into his touch.
“Shall we sneak a family selfie?” And you couldn’t help but laugh. Your fun loving, childish husband would never change.
“Oh please daddy!” Came the excited plea from your daughter and both of you knew that he would never be able to say no to those eyes.
After a few pictures were taken, your favourite being cuddled into his side, your little girl between the two of you absolutely beaming, you could see him opening instagram and you laughed.
“Irwin, we’re not even at the reception yet.”
“Gotta let the world know I’m a family man now.” He shot right back with a smirk and this made you and your daughter giggle together.
‘@ashtonirwin: went to the chapel today. Got married and officially became a dad. About to have the best party ever. With love, the Irwins x’
He showed the two of you and you could feel your tears building up. It felt too much like a dream to you, but with your daughters body pressed against you, and Ashton’s hand securely in yours, you knew that it was better than a dream because it was real.
When the car arrived at the event, you were greeted with confetti and cheers, making you laugh as you found yourselves at the designated table.
Once you were all settled down and drinks had been passed around, Ashton pressed his lips to yours briefly before standing up, gaining everyone’s attention.
“So, I was sorely tempted to write an entire album for my beautiful wife, but I refrained because I knew she would have most probably cried and then called me far too sentimental.” You laughed as your daughter had scrambled from her seat, much to Shay’s dismay and you allowed her to sit on your lap. Ashton beamed at her.
“That’s not to say that I haven’t written songs about her, or my daughter, because I have. But music has always been my way of expression, and now I need to find my words. Because there aren’t enough words in the world for me to talk about my amazing, badass wife who will pin you with a mom glare and have you apologising in three seconds flat.”
“And don’t you forget it, Irwin.” This earned more giggles.
“Like I ever could, Irwin.” The two of you shared grins, a soft aw echoing from a few people around your table. “I want to toast this beautiful woman who has defied every bad thing that got thrown at her. I want to toast the beautiful little girl she has raised so far, and allowed me to help, or hinder, we’re still working that out.”
You pressed your lips together to stop the sarcastic comment. But your heart was positively melting.
“Either way, I’ve found the best partner in the world who has done nothing but bring out the best in me. So here’s to many more years, my love.” His glass raised in the toast and other copied, your cheeks warm.
“And to the other important lady in my life. My wonderful princess.” She positively beamed at him from your lap. “As I told you during the ceremony, the day you called me your daddy, I knew that I was never gonna let either of you go if I could help it. And I promise to be the best dad I can be to you, princess. Even when you get mad at me.” She pushed off your lap, her arms wrapping around his waist. He chuckled, handing you his glas so he could wrap his arms around her entirely, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
“Love you, daddy.”
“Love you too, princess. Always will, now and forever.” He murmured in response and just that phrase set your tears off.
As he sat down, you leaned over, meeting his lips with yours once more.
“God, I love you so much Irwin.” He chuckled, letting his palm rest on your cheek.
“I love you too Irwin. No escaping me now.” And you two giggled, the overwhelming emotions of the day bubbling over, tears spilling down your cheeks.
“We’re messes today, apparently.” You murmured as he brought a tissue to carefully dab away your tears.
“Well it’s a wedding. Everyone cries at weddings.”
The speeches from the boys had you gasping in laughter as they recounted various mishaps over the years, from before you’d met them and after. You shied away when Shay had stood up and made her own speech.
You cried when Anne stood up and said that she was doing the speech as the mother to the bride and groom. When she’d mentioned that she’d known from day one, earning a disgruntled look from Ashton, you could only laugh and pat his hand in sympathy.
“Our mothers will always be right, never argue it.” She teased and he groaned in return.
The first dance together, it was almost magical. You’d been confused when Luke had gotten up from the table, but when you saw him on the stage, it made sense and you stared at him in shock as the starting notes of Still Into You began playing on the acoustic and you felt your heart burst as the two of you slow danced across the floor.
“God damn I am the luckiest person in the world right now.” You murmured as he let his forehead rest against yours, a smile on his lips.
“One of the luckiest people in the world. That’s how I’m feeling right now.” He hummed and you giggled softly as the song came to an end. The band continued playing, your little girl joining the two of you for the next song.
After that, Ashton danced with his mum and you laughed when Calum stepped in and danced with you.
“Hey, can’t leave the bride by herself.” He’d teased when he took her hand and they moved slowly across the floor. Glancing over, you could see that Luke had picked up your little girl and they were dancing together, him holding her up , her legs wrapped around his waist, both with matching grins.
“He’d be a good dad one day I reckon.” Calum murmured as the two of you danced. You nodded.
“Without a doubt. I know that he was nervous the first time I introduced her to you three lunatics. Pretty sure she was smitten with him from day one. Like, you and Mikey didn’t stand a chance as favourite.” He laughed.
“Next kid I’m calling dibs on.” He teased and instead of feeling the gut wrenching sadness, you giggled.
“You’ll be the favourite for one of our kids. I think even Ashton has to compete for her affections when it comes to Luke. So don’t feel too bad.” The two of you laughed before he traded off with Michael and you rolled your eyes but grinned.
“Is this how you’re making up for the fact that my immediate family is dead and the rest are assholes?” You knew the comment was very tongue in cheek, but Michael smiled nonetheless.
“Sorta. Ashton was fretting about you whilst he danced with his mum and sister. We told him to shut up and stop freaking out because like we’d leave you alone on the dancefloor.” You laughed.
Calum had taken over from Luke and was now dancing with your little girl.
Another switch later and you were dancing with Harry who wore the biggest grin.
“Is this where you tell me your brothers worst habits?” Harry snorted as the two of you swayed on the spot.
“No, you live with him, you probably know them already. But I did want to cut in before Luke so that I could, I dunno, welcome you to the family properly I guess. I know we haven’t spent much time together and I entirely rest that blame on Ash,” the two of you grinned, “but seeing him so happy, and with a family, I’m just glad that he got married to you. You’re honest and you keep him grounded.” You tried your hardest not to cry, but you pulled Harry into a hug regardless, the both of you having stopped dancing.
“Hey, you get another older sister to annoy now. And if it’s anything to you, I am so glad and grateful to be apart of this family. And hey, maybe when we come visit in a couple of weeks, you and me can go out. Or will that be too embarrassing to be seen with your sister-in-law?” You teased and he automatically shook his head.
“Not embarrassing at all.” You grinned at his flushed cheeks before kissing them, Harry taking his escape when Luke stepped in.
“Terrify him much?”
“Yeah, you need to stop scaring guests, Lu. It’s not on.” He snorted as he began dancing with you, grinning at the look of surprise on your face at the fact that he could dance.
“I’d always assumed you were clumsy.” You muttered and he smirked before shaking his head.
“There are things called dancing lessons. Might have to direct Ash to them.” The two of you glanced over to where he stood with your little girl, her feet resting on his as he slowly danced around the floor with her.
“They’re dancing just fine. Gotta remember that she’s not got height on her side.” You shot bck and he laughed.
“Touche. And how is the radiant Mrs Irwin tonight?” That question alone had you grinning from ear to ear, the giddy sensation filling you up. You were married.
“In love. Utterly in love.” Was the only thing you could come up with and Luke chuckled as other guests began to join the dancefloor and you were once more back in your husbands arms.
when calum finally settles down and has a kid,it would look just like him (cause those maori hood genes are strong) and he’d be so proud to mention his new bundle of joy, posting any picture he’s taken. he’d post pictures like “lil hood & littler hood” with the baby and duke. he’d be so cautious when the boys come over to see mom and baby, hovering over their shoulders as they coo over little hood. he’d name ash the godfather and luke and mike the uncles. i think the baby’s name would symbolize so much for cals life. like the first name would tie back to his family and culture, the middle name would tie back to the band, like giving them a band members name or close, and his last name. he’d be so cuddly and protective over lil hood and when they get older he’s definitely wrapped around their little finger with a pout and those big brown puppy dog eyes ok i’m sad as hell.
Hello! I apologise for the wait on this part, but I’ve been working hard to make sure that this story develops a plot line, instead of being straight smut, so I hope you enjoy!
“Is there anything else I can get for you miss?” The man asked, as he finished pouring you a steaming cup of tea.
“No thank you Gordon.” You said before raising the cup to take a sip. You felt the warm liquid run down your dry throat. Smiling, he nodded and left the room. Gordon was Calum’s live in personal chef, he had been preparing meals in the mansion for years now. You had grown fond of him quickly. He was a sweet old man, who was eager to help, he had always been kind to you. Not to mention incredibly skilled in the kitchen.
You picked at the french toast in front of you, your toes grazing the cold marble floor as you swung your legs slowly. The bar stool next to you was unoccupied, but you were used to slow, lonely mornings. Normally you would occupy yourself with daydreaming of your next luxurious getaway, afterall, you were a sugar baby.
But, “business” had been especially serious lately, leaving little time for Calum to run away with you. You tried to be understanding, but you missed having him around. You were so caught up in aimlessly tracing circles in the maple syrup on your plate you almost didn’t notice the unusual visitor exiting Calum’s business wing.
The loud clicking noise given off by her heels was the first thing noticed. The next was the fact that even though it was only 9am, you were feeling rather underdressed. Her hair was black, and styled in a shorter choppy style, if you didn’t know any better you would assume it’s been worn out by hair dye and heat tools. She wore heavy makeup that must have been done in the dark, and a tight black dress hung to every curve.
You were used to business partners, who were practically strangers, strolling through the mansion at the strangest hours, but this woman bares little resemblance to the old men in suits and ties which you had become so accustomed to. When she popped her hip and whipped out her phone without even looking up and you, you couldn’t help but clear your throat.
“Oh, hello.” she grunted glancing up at your before moving her attention back to her device.
“And you are?” You pressed dropping your fork. You hardly knew this woman, but you couldn’t help feeling a strong distaste towards her. You waited a moment, but she didn’t move, in fact, she was so unmoved, you almost wondered if you had said anything at all? Maybe you had just imagined it...No you hadn’t, maybe it just wasn’t loud enough. You had to show her you meant it.
“And you are?” I repeated, refusing to stand down.
“Relax frumpy, I came here for business.” She smirked, yup, you hated this girl.
“I figured as much.” You scoffed, you weren’t worried. Obviously she was here for that.
“Or,” she snipped finally moving her attention from her phone to you, “If you want to keep up that damn attitude I can switch up the kind of business I’m conducting with Mr. Hood.” Your jaw dropped, this had escalated from subtle retorts to a mutual hatred quickly. You were ready to snap when Calum entered the room. Your eyes immediately fell on the loosened tie dangling from his neck. In any other situation it would’ve made you melt, but today you couldn’t help but worry, just for a moment.
“Good morning baby, I see you’ve met miss Charlotte Haven. We’ll be doing some work together in the next few weeks.” He created crossing the room, as if on cue, Gordon hurried into the room with a piping mug of dark roast. “Thank you Gordon,” he mumbled, his voice was still a little rough, making you wonder how long ago he had woken.
“Yes.” You grunted, causing him to lower his mug and lift his brow at you expectantly. “Daddy.” you quickly corrected yourself. You had been so busy staring down the intruder in your home, you’d forgotten one of the biggest rules. Calum had always been picky about that, he didn’t really care who was around. Thankfully he hummed satisfied with your response.
“Daddy?” Charlotte mouthed to you, making your skin crawl. You had never been embarrassed to call him that before of course; but seeing the proud look on her face had you feeling a little small. A silence feel on the room, making you shift uncomfortably in your seat.
“Well I should be going.” Charlotte started, moving towards the door, you silently rejoiced, but of course, she had to turn around, “I’ll be seeing you soon Mr. Hood.” But Calum was mid sip, so she had to settle for a hand gesture, and she was out the door, before his mug had returned to the counter.
“She was nice.” You said sarcastically as soon as she was out of ears reach.
“You didn’t like her?” He asked, sitting on one of the stools and looking over to you.
“Not as much as you did?” You groaned.
“Somebody is certainly grumpy this morning, something wrong?” He pressed.
“I’m fine Cal.” you sighed softly, knowing that this moment was serious enough that you could drop the daddy act. He studied you quietly for a moment.
“C’mere baby.” He said pushing back the stool back slightly and patting his thigh. You stood up slowly and made your way to him. You lifted yourself on to his muscular leg, his large hand gripping your waist to guide you before moving it down to your lower back, tracing shapes lightly. You thought about explaining your little run in with charlotte in further detail, but decided against it after a moment, it really hadn’t been that big of a deal actually,
“Just tired.” You decided, cozying up against his chest. He knew this was a lie, but decided not to bother you about it. It would bubble up eventually if it was important enough.
aah imagine daddy luke at your teeny daughter’s rec league softball game, he’s normally all leather and boots and rockstar but today he’s in comfy shorts and a white t-shirt, wearing the baseball cap of your daughter’s team, and all the other softball moms keep shooting glances his way because he’s the hottest (and tallest) dad there, and he stands near the dugout easing your daughter’s nerves before she goes up to bat and then when she’s running the bases after hitting that ball all the way into the outfield he’s the loudest parent by far, hollering and jumping like a big proud dork for your baby girl
