The sun peeked through the curtains of your luxurious Manhattan apartment, casting a warm glow across the room. You stretched, the soft sheets of your bed inviting you to linger just a little longer. But today was special. Today marked your anniversary with Howard Stark.
As you swung your legs over the side of the bed, you couldnât help but smile. Life with Howard was never dull. You loved the way he challenged you, how he sparked your curiosity, and the way he made even the simplest moments feel extraordinary.
You padded into the kitchen, the scent of coffee wafting through the air. Howard was already there, fiddling with a small gadget at the counter, his tie askew as usual. He looked up, a playful grin spreading across his face.
âMorning, genius,â he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. âI was just about to make breakfast, but I thought maybe Iâd invent a new breakfast appliance instead.â
You laughed, leaning against the doorframe. âYou know, pancakes are still a thing, right?â
He chuckled, stepping closer to you, the gadget still in his hand. âBut wouldnât it be great if we could just press a button and have them perfectly cooked every time?â
âOnly you would find a way to overcomplicate breakfast, Howard,â you teased, taking the gadget from him and placing it on the counter. âHow about we just stick to the classics for today?â
He sighed dramatically. âFine, but only because itâs our anniversary. Iâll save my world-changing ideas for later.â His tone was playful, but you could see the underlying affection in his eyes.
After a leisurely breakfast filled with laughter and playful banter, you headed to the living room. The large windows offered a stunning view of the city, but your attention was drawn to the elegant display on the coffee tableâan intricately wrapped box with a note attached.
âHoward, you didnât have toââ you started, but he waved a hand, his smile broadening.
âJust open it,â he urged, excitement radiating from him.
You carefully unwrapped the box, revealing a stunning bracelet adorned with tiny gears and a small arc reactor charm. It was beautiful and so uniquely him.
âHoward, itâs perfect!â you exclaimed, slipping it onto your wrist. âI love it.â
âJust a little reminder that youâre the heart of my inventions,â he said, his voice low and sincere. âWithout you, Iâd just be a man with too many gadgets and not enough heart.â
Your heart swelled at his words. You stepped closer, wrapping your arms around him. âYou know I love being a part of your world. Itâs exhilarating.â
âSpeaking of exhilarating,â he said, pulling back slightly, âhow about a little field trip?â
Your eyes lit up. âWhere to?â
âJust a surprise,â he said, winking. âI promise itâll be worth it.â
Before you could question him further, he took your hand, leading you out of the apartment and into the bustling streets of Manhattan. The excitement in the air was palpable as you navigated the city together, laughing and teasing each other along the way.
Eventually, he led you to a rooftop helipad, where a sleek helicopter awaited. Your heart raced with anticipation.
âHoward, are you serious?â you gasped, looking at him wide-eyed.
âOnly the best for my wife,â he replied, his voice filled with mischief.
The helicopter ride was a whirlwind of exhilaration, the city shrinking beneath you as you soared above the skyline. Howard pointed out various landmarks, his enthusiasm infectious as he talked about his latest projects and ideas.
When you landed on a picturesque hillside just outside the city, you were greeted with a breathtaking view of the horizon. A cozy picnic was set up, complete with your favorite foods and a bottle of champagne.
As you sat together, surrounded by the beauty of nature, you couldnât help but feel grateful for the life you had built together. Howard poured you a glass, clinking it against his with a smirk.
âTo us,â he said, his gaze steady and sincere.
âTo us,â you echoed, warmth flooding your chest.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, you leaned against Howard, feeling the steady beat of his heart beside you. This was more than just an anniversary; it was a reminder of the partnership you had forgedâa bond filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos.
âThank you for today,â you said softly, turning to face him. âYou always know how to make everything feel special.â
He smiled, brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear. âThatâs my job, isnât it? Besides, every day with you is special. You make me want to be better.â
You felt your heart swell at his words, and without thinking, you leaned in to kiss him. It was sweet and tender, a promise of all the adventures still to come.
As you pulled away, he grinned, a hint of mischief in his eyes. âNow, about that pancake machineâŚâ
You rolled your eyes, laughter bubbling up again. âYouâre impossible, Howard Stark.â
âExactly,â he said, winking at you. âAnd you love it.â
With the sun setting behind you and the world at your feet, you knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, youâd face them togetherâpartners in every sense of the word.
I like thinking about two different versions of a character meeting and I wanne share it but it's hard too explain. Also you need to divide yourself from logic for this.
Imagine modern AU Ned Stark and baby Rickon travel back in time/to a different universe and end up in Riverrun. Ned, Cat and toddler Robb are there to visit. (So just ignore the whole confusion that would create) MAU = Modern AU
Following things would happen:
MAU Ned can't help but stare at Ned/Cat because the distance between them is so weird so him
He almost spilled the Jon secret because he was so confused why Hoster, Brynden and Edmure seemed to hate him and when they said something about him having a bastard he got so outraged
MAU Ned is very fascinated by seeing Robb as a toddler again and has to stop himself from stealing him
While the other Ned and Cat are in love with Rickon and wanna know more about there future children but MAU Ned doesn't tell them a lot because he is not sure if it's gonna be the same for them
People are constantly asking MAU Ned if the nurse maids should take care of Rickon but Ned just doesn't wanna let Rickon out of his sight (understandable)
The only time he does it is when someone feeds him and he things it would be inappropriate to watch. He doesn't like that some random woman has to feed Rickon but he also can't let Rickon starve.
Ned constantly shows that not can take care of Rickon but people won't stop asking if someone should take over for Ned so at one point he just snaps and starts yelling: "I can take care of my child just fine! Thank you very much! Stop trying to steal my baby!"
I'm rewatching Iron Man 2 and I have noticed the following:
> I really fucking love Tony Stark
> Pepper still irritates me.
> The strawberry scene and the rediscovering an element scene are still perfect
> Tony is really freaking pretty
> I still love marvel.
> I have found inspiration for the first time in MONTHS.
