So, here are some daddy-longlegs truths (I hope that I got things right this time): There are some spiders that are referred to as daddy-longlegs, and there are daddy-longlegs who are arachnids. Those two are different insects and none of them are dangerous. The spider fella has a mild venom which is not harmful to humans, and the arachnid has no venom at all. There was a mythbusters episode about it!
