Do you have any headcanons for lard nar as a parental figure to ZiM?

well fur baseline starters i think it was a kind of onesided thing. zim is zim and being just a lil guy at the time,,, kind of stupit. it was a lot of nar trying to purrevent him furom breaking shit or clawsing Too much harm and zim trying to see what sticking this furk in that outlet would do

nar and 777 were kind of the assigned babysitters ((as well as ixane who i hc worked On the research station, just not as a scientist)) bcs the science team had impurrtant sciencing to do and nar was the young new guy and 777 was The Guy With Kids ((ixane was just nars budy))

Eventually there was a sort of mewtual Our Weird Little Guy feeling throughout the science team but that was short lived beclaws of. well. yknow how it goes

I think,, Lard Nar could be the best thing to possibly happen to Zib,,, short of literally dying.

Going with the hc that LardNar and Zim had a father-son relationship prior to Miyuki's death, we already have a pre-established (albeit strained) relationship between Zim and Nar, in addition to this, it's widely agreed upon that Dib and Nar would get along well and even have a similar relationship. Applying this to Zib (Dib1 and Zim1 simultaneously), I think there's great potential here! Of course, Lard Nar can't,, fix or reverse any of the things that are wrong with Zib- but he CAN help prevent them from getting worse.

I've been looking for something to fill the space in my Zib's timeline between Zib escaping the void and Dib hunting them down for forced rehab and experiments- and I think this might work :3

So, all of this is semi-cannon to my Zib's timeline,, but is subject to change as I came up with all of this in the span of an hour

Let's say Zib manages to escape the void. What now? He's weak and it's been proven that he can't just beat Dib and Zim (the OGs/our timeline), not without a plan anyways. While they're traveling aimlessly through space trying to come up with a plan, Zim1 has the bright idea to track down The Resisty after seeing a few of their posters- Dib1 doesn't really have any other ideas, and an anti-irken military group sounds like his kind of people so- what's the harm in trying?

Okay so,, they find Nar first and honestly it's lucky they did because most other Resisty members would probably freak the fuck out at the sight of him- and like I mean Nar did too- but less. Anyways they drop the whole pretending to be a singular entity thing pretty fast because Zim1 has no self control<3 and got really excited to see Nar again. Nar doesn't realize what's happening until he sees their PAK and then,, he freaks out again!! Just "HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO YOURSELF?? WHOS BODY IS THAT?? THAT'S NOT LEGAL OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO SEPARATE YOURE GONNA GET EACHOTHER KILLED- DISMANTLED- WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU ARE NOT SAFE!!"

A liiitle more explaining and discussion later and Nar is dragging them back to the Resisty's ship, PAK hidden of course. Since Zib's PAK is disconnected from the control brains network, it's not detected by the Resisty's defenses- and while Zib LOOKS Irken-like in many regards, he doesn't fit the biggest hallmarks- so he's reluctantly allowed to stay.

So yeah- Nar is basically a father figure for Zib for the time being till Dib(OG) comes and fucks it up again. OG Timeline ruins everything for Zib it seems. Ruined his master plan to become a cult leader and commit interdimentional genocide, took away his only source of comfort (not sure if this is cannon yet I haven't decided-), took him away from his surrogate father, forced him into rehab that didn't work, ect.

But for now we have DadNar <3
