My guy, a convicted felon who was BFF's with Jeffery Epstein incited an insurrection where his supporters threatened to lynch his own VP for not overturning the results of a free and fair election. That monster was still allowed to run for president when he should be in jail and now he's in the White House again using his power to persecute the people who tried to hold him accountable while the rioters have all been pardoned and some even have government jobs now. He invited the worlds' most notorious misogynistic manosphere influencer into the country to escape prosecution for rape and sex trafficking and gave preferential treatment to Epstein's main accomplice while jumping on the bandwagon of pedojacketing drag queens and trans people to deflect attention from his own long history of raping women and children.

Every branch of the government meant to limit his power has written him a blank check to do whatever he wants. Critical government services are headed by unqualified, incompetent, and nakedly corrupt appointees chosen purely for their loyalty to Trump and the Heritage Foundation's agenda, whom the other branches keep voting to approve because none of them have the slightest shred of integrity.

The conservative supermajority in the supreme court revoked reproductive rights and is set to overturn marriage equality after we had a mere 10 years to enjoy it, and birthright citizenship is on the chopping block as well.

Public broadcasting has been defunded and hundreds of stations that do not have a population capable of raising the funds to keep them operating are going to go dark, and my home state is going to be one of the hardest hit. People are going to lose access to some of the only news, educational content, and emergency alerts available to them period, let alone the only non-corporate media that doesn't have to kiss Trump's ass to get a merger approved or bend to the editorial mandates of some billionaire chud like Bezos.

States are being actively encouraged to gerrymander districts to eliminate democratic representation and add more republicans to Congress while every measure is being taken to disenfranchise as many voters as possible in a naked bid to prevent the house and senate from flipping in 2026.

Multiple countries are committing genocide and our leader is rolling out the red carpet for the genocidaires. My home state has the dubious honor of having to host two of the worlds' most evil men alive while they debate who gets a bigger piece of a country that belongs to neither of them.

There is no excuse for ignoring politics at this moment in history. You can't just stick your head in the sand and pretend like there isn't a fleet of tanks coming to roll over you, your rights, and the rights of everyone around you.
