Have a dump of the nil. I redesigned their armor and it's not any easier to draw but perhaps more satisfying for me to look at which is what matters the most.

I have quite a lot of owed art to do this month but I'm kinda losing my mind over here and thinking "I gotta make the blorbo real" while making them in a 3D software

Since I had so much fun making the Nergigante redesign I decided to take a crack at another armor I hate: the Anjanath armor. This thing is a mess and I have no idea where they were going with it. Again, attempted to keep things mostly close while using elements of the male design for consistency.

I tried to keep her armor kind of “sexy” but making it actually within the realm of perceived practicality. tbh she was the only redeeming part of that movie but i really like the Blue Oyster Cult song about her Vengeance the Pact

finally, i’m supremely displeased with the teostra armor for monster hunter generations, i find it extremely generic and really not worthy of such a cool monster. so i decided to try my hand at an armor redesign

i kept a few parts of the original design (that i liked) and generally added more beasty-ness

Since I colored the Anjanath redesign I decided to color the Nergigante armor too.

This is a pretty fun practice for armor/character design! :D

Wonder which one I should do next?

I really hate the female Nergigante armor in MHW, so I decided to try my hand at a really quick redesign. Tried to keep it mostly close to the original, but also using the male version as the main source of changes.

The funny thing is- the skin showing isn't even the part I hate the most. I don't like how miss-mash the armor is. Most of the major parts of the armor look like they came from different clothing. And Nergigante is supposed to be a ferocious beast. The armor from the female set doesn't look fierce at ALL.

I did a quick base color layout for the Odogaron armor redesign.

Really like the Fuu dog/oni look- makes this design feel like the companion beast to the male armor. If I designed the other side I’d likely remove that silly bow and give it a proper backing. Maybe something cool like pouches for gear/spare rope or something ninja related.
