Sooooo what random flowers would you assign to the different mystic force bebes👀
Skkyyyyyyyyy you know how to get me!! Okay so random-ish thoughts...
blackthorn (hope, fate; looks prickly but grows delicate white flowers and blue fruit and it starts blooming in the late winter)
red orchids (orchids are notoriously finicky flowers to grow and maintain but in the same breath, they're highly prized for people who are patient enough to see that through; red ones in particular are associated with passion are fire...)
bluebell (outside of the obvious, it's also a loyal and constant flower, a potent pollinator, and a protected species in parts of the UK and France due to how important it is to the ecosystems despite being so unassuming)
blue tulips (they're flowers of love in general, but blue ones are also for tranquility and trust; they're exceptionally adaptable and grow in nearly every relatively hospitable climate; they're also some of the first to sprout up in the spring but wither by summer)
gladiolus (pink flower associated with conviction and strength of character, sometimes called the sword lily which is just Vida in a nutshell IMO)
balsam (impatience, ardent love, because while I think she's maybe the most impatient out of all of them, she also loves so fiercely and unrepentantly)
chamomile (simple, unfussy flower that represents energy through adversity while also being a reliable flavoring for foods and drinks over the ages)
coltsfoot (how many flowers out there are associated with a righteous search for justice? How Chip is that??)
green orchids (for reasons similar to Nick, because I think they're more similar than they think, Xander just has the people skills, and green varietals often represent charm, beauty, and refinement, something our boy has in spades)
bird of paradise (magnificence, faithfulness, and look how showy they are!! plus they're one of the only flowers that's pollinated by birds [specifically their feet] and I think Xander would love that sort of unique distinction)
coriander!! (we're all familiar with the herb derived from it, but the flowers themselves are delicate pale pink/white and typically represent hidden potential, which...)
valerian (small, strange little flowers that grow in huge bundles, a bit of a mirror to how much Clare grows once the Mystics arrive; they're usually associated with readiness and accommodation, a good match IMO for how game Clare is for basically anything, even when she's not really sure of herself; it's also a common food source for certain butterfly and moth larvae)
sunflower (it's so corny but like... c'mon, they're HUGE, hardy flowers that thrive in bright sunlight)
ox-eye daisy (deceptively simple flower but also like THEE most flower to ever flower when it comes to what every little kid first draws and something about that universality feels very Daggeron to me; plus it's a flower of patience and as a teacher, god does he need it)
pitch pine (so it's not technically a flower but pine trees that can survive through the winter are SO Udonna to me, and pitch pines in particular are associated with faith even in the worst situations, because they are known to grow in soils deemed unsuitable for nearly all other growth, and that gives such an Udonna-level resilience to me)
bellflower (constant, unwavering love, the kind she held onto for her lost family all these years and kept her going)
edelweiss (a highly adaptable flower that survives in high mountain ranges, including intense UV exposure and severe snowy weather, and represents chivalry and courage)
asphodel (representative of death and the Underworld, as well as remembering those that we've loved and lost)
...haha remember at the start when I said these were random thoughts? Oops.
Thanks for the ask!!! I love sitting down and thinking about these sorts of details. Now you know which one is up next 😈
