An entire day in Bukidnon.

Once, our guests from Norway asked us: Are roadtrips to neighboring provinces/municipalities a common way to hang out for us Kagay-anons? For the three full days they were in town, we opted for quick trips around the city before heading to trips in Bukidnon and Medina. We did not know where else in the city to bring them, except for a look at Plaza Divisoria, St. Augustine's Cathedral, and Divine Mercy Shrine, a dinner at High-Ridge for a comprehensive skyline view - I couldn't think of anything else more tatak-Kagayan than these. I guess this draws us to visit neighboring destinations, and show them more of the mountains and beaches around.

Though I have heard of some people also having the same dilemmas on where to bring their guests, this solidifies my view of Cagayan as an entry point to beautiful destinations, though it has its own beauty (figuratively yes; literally, I feel like more improvements can be made in terms of cleanliness, order, and the traffic!).

Cagayan-Bukidnon (Feb. 22-25, 2024)

Bruhilda (bestfriend) informed me that she's in the Ph for a vacation, nasa kabilang planeta kasi to. We immediately decided to go on a vacation, (bruhilda, way ligo and yours truly (YT) ). so ayun, Bukidnon is the winner.

Fast Forward:

Bruhilda and way ligo, came from Leyte and YT from manila, kaya sa airport ng Cagayan nalang kami nagkita.

Oh, diba! nasa mini bus na kami niyan to terminal para bukidnon. way ligo, is a teacher by the way and ang excuse niya diyan ay "home visitation", so he won't post pictures real time.

We arrived in Bukidnon mga bandang hapon, and guess what?? NAULAN! very unfortunate, kasi ang means of transpo papunta sa accomdation namin ay "habal-habal". Well, because mapamaraan naman kami, binalot namin ng garbage bag ang mga bags namin.

dahil fully booked ang date namin for the "kubo" accom. kaya sa tent nalang kami. see my very maduming shoes??? actually, bawas na nga ang putik niyan. The weather is very cold, the tubig is very "ice-cold" coded. Kaya kahit basa kami sa ulan, di kami naligo kasi malamig. AS IN.

Ganda ng morning view, dibaaaa? sea of clouds. fresh air. tahimik. (refreshing talaga) sulit ang layo ng byahe. Roty Peaks pala our accommodation.

After we checked out at Rotys, we then headed to our next destination, the famous COMMUNAL RANCH.

DAHILAYAN ADVENTURE PARK, BUKIDNON, PHILIPPINES (July 12, 2022) A priest, a doctor, and me. Three high school chums in their mid-fifties. I told Fr. Gaby and Dr. Paul before coming to Bukidnon that I would by hook or by crook visit Dahilayan Adventure Park if only to try out the zip line. I figured that it would be more unlikely for me to seek out these rides as I approached sixty, so I might as well do them now. Thankfully, the others felt the same way. And so we conquered our fears and braved the rains to do this. Yay!

Rain or Shine, nothing can stop from experiencing again the Longest Dual Zipline in Asia and the Longest Zipline in the Philippines. @dahilayanadventurepark is not only a place for adventure but a perfect place to chill, spend time with friends and why not celebrate your birthday!
