Here are the finished shots of my Rocket Raccoon! 

I had been slowly putting in work over the course of the year. It was a rough one for me with a lot of health issues slowing me down. So this is as done as I chose to make him. He’s structurally done and fully functional, but... There are a lot of aesthetic things I want to fix for the next big time I put him on. 

I have to get the white fur above his eyes into eyebrows, I need to fix his head-slippage and shorten the neck fur. I want to actually make the feet into “boots” and not just realistic paw slippers. I posted a little making of photoset too, if you want to see.

Some day I’ll re make his jumpsuit, but it’s passable for now. I want it to come up higher so I don’t need the chest fur at all, anything you can do to keep cool right? He’s pretty comfy but boy oh boy was I sweaty indoors.

The photos are from Daishocon 2017, which was a fun little vacation before the holiday stress started. I found the trash hat there (by cosplay moomoo). My wicked awesome badge was by @not-afurry. Go check them out!

Over all I’m pretty proud of my work, I’ve never made anything of his scale before so my first try turned out great! I’m taking my time to touch him up, but I’ll post more photos along the way!

Hey guys! I just got back from Daisho Con, which was my FIRST CONVENTION EVER!! At my first con ever, I also COSPLAYED FOR THE FIRST TIME!! 

I had so much fun and loved it! I think three of my favorite moments were: 

Seeing Saitama run up to the area my friends and I were sitting at in a con competition hall, my friend shouting “save us Saitama” and him responding after 5 seconds with “where the f*ck did I sit?”

A little girl excitedly running up to me and my friend (who cosplayed as Amethyst and Pearl) and asking to take a picture with us; She was so excited she couldn’t stop shaking and her parents were super happy

Accidentally getting hit by luggage of a distressed guy who apologized and said he was late to a panel; my friends and I cracked jokes and helped calm him down a bit, and when we got to the first floor we hear a guy say to him “dad where’s the dog?!” distressed and then I realized it was Zach Callison - the voice of Steven from Steven Universe. I was in an elevator and cracking jokes with his dad while I was wearing a Garnet dress. THAT MAN KNEWWWWW

but I absolutely loved it and I hope to go to more cons! my friend/senpai @avengette and I took some quality steven universe pictures and I’ll post them later once the photos arrive. After that, then I’ll post my extra stuff!! 

but anyway I’m exhausted and imma die so I’m gonna go lie down~

mystery cosplay revealed at last! for being the third head ive ever made and making it in 2 weeks at that i’m super happy with how it turned out. i learned a lot and i’m already planning another neck-vision head! the “cigarette” is removable and place-able anywhere on the lips, and there’s a speaker mounted in the head. my girlfriend, who’s cosplaying Diane, will be connected with a playlist of quotes and horse noises.
