I’ve been watching the Daisousa kiss on loop for the past 40 minutes

SPOILER ALERT FROM SEASON 7 EPISODE 9 OF AGENTS OF SHIELD

ok, so we all saw that Dousa kiss. And many of you guys have already start shipping it but before that (if that's even possible), I want to talk about Daisy's past (more specifically, StaticQuake):

Lincoln was Daisy's third cannon love interest and whether you liked it or not, we have to admit his departure left a scar on her: she hasn't seen anyone romanticly since that, which up to S7 should be like, what, 4 years minimum? Anyways, it's a really long time.

LITTLE DISCLAIMER BEFORE YOU KEEP READING: I'm not saying she NEEDS a couple in order to be interesting or something 'cause we all know she's incredibly interesting all by herself but, keep scrolling: I'll get to my point soon enough...

She could have been with Deke (as up to S7, he still looks like he has a crush on her or at LEAST he deeply cares for her) but no, he isn't her type. He's quite annoying (for some) and even child-like, and he takes other's merit and makes them his, something that I'm sure Daisy dissaproves strongly.

But then, Sousa comes along. A brave, kind and caring man that looks for nothing but what it's right. He reminds me a little bit of Lincoln, but they are different though.

Lincoln and Sousa both have golden hearts and are both often driven by emotions just like Daisy. However, Sousa and Daisy (this last one, with time) had learnt that with rational behaviour and a great heart, the best results occur: emotions can't get the best of you if you're not thinking clearly. Lincoln didn't have enough time to learn this lesson.

Sousa keeps it cool in front of others, even if he doesn't mean to: keeps a straight face even when things get messy and even though he's quite clueless with all these space-time things, and the technology and aliens (kinda like me, to be honest), he tries to find a solution as clean as possible whereas Lincoln was desperate to protect who he cares about no matter how, like that time he almost lost it with Alisha. Emotions got the best of him while Sousa, after being pulled out of his time, yes, he got a little bit upset (which is totally normal in such an anormal situation) but quickly put himself back up to help those in need: the team.

Anyways, StaticQuake was both great and painful for Daisy, and even though I adore that ship and Lincoln as well, we have to let it go.

Lincoln and Daisy were so good to each other in times of need and never gave up on the other, no matter how rough things got in the short time they had together. Nobody took such a passionate and kind care for her like Lincoln did and viceversa for Lincoln.

Because of the traumatic event losing Lincoln was and so many others she's lived, Daisy looks every time less emotional about loses and problems (nothing like S3 finale has ocurred in the subsequent seasons) 'cause she's so damaged and so broken already. So much has happened in so little time and now.

I sometimes believe in front of cathastrophies, she looks kinda numb not sure if she doesn't want to feel so much pain, she's just that broken or if she does it for the team.

My point is that, due to all this, she deserves some happiness with someone with a heart as golden and broken as hers like Sousa's, and viceversa, and they both deserve a happy ending together, if that's what they want. Give them a break already.
