Easy Eyes Presets!

So, if you haven't seen my other post by now, hi, I'm Raptor, and I make presets for the Dalamud plugin Easy Eyes! If you don't know what that is, it's a plugin designed to capture the vfx of the game, enabling you to turn them off. This is an accessibility plugin, particularly in DawnTrail, whose vfx are frankly a public health hazard.

See, my twin sister has epilepsy, and she had to quit the game for a while due to the vfx in DTs dungeons lowering her seizure threshold. Alexandria, the level 100 dungeon, not only gave her a seizure but actively destroyed her baseline, making her brain more sensitive to lights, to the point we had to buy her a new screen for her computer because a standard screen was giving her auras, and she now has to repurchase a lot of her games from Steam to Switch because the Switch and Switch 2s OLED screens are safer for her brain.

(This is something we discovered anecdotally, as many people with epilepsy and migraine here on Tumblr have spoken about how switching to an OLED screen has significantly helped their migraines and seizure thresholds, and lo and behold, it worked for her too, but again, it meant buying new monitors and either buying a new steam deck, which is expensive, or slowly repurchasing a significant amount of her game library)

As such, I have begun a crusade against the game's vfx with EasyEyes because epileptics and migraineurs make up over 15% of the global population and therefore likely comprise a similar amount of the playerbase and I want as many people as possible to be safe playing Final Fantasy 14.

I have a preset pack for all of DawnTrail's dungeons and trials up to 7.4

I'll be updating it with 7.5 as soon as I get to them!

And now, I present to you all, The Arcadion Normal Tier! This contains presets for all 12 Arcadion fights. There are some problematic vfx that I left in for positioning sake, namely some laser attacks in Light-Heavy M4. Be careful going into that one and if it's a problem for anyone, let me know and I'll take them out.

Importantly, there is a project that covers a massive amount of duties from ARR to EW. It's not complete, but it covers so much stuff that I can't not recommend it! It is not my project, but I plan to start covering things it hasn't gotten to. Here is that one

Finally, I have started a ko-fi to help support the project. This is very time consuming work, particularly for long duties such as alliance raids, and if there's a demand for Savage or EX content, well, that's also a lot of effort. It would just be nice to get my sub paid to keep up the work, you know? Here is that ko-fi

In the future, I'll be hosting the packs on my ko-fi. You'll still see them on XMA, and the dungeons and trials will remain free. Raids will probably be like 3$ (except for the Arcadion, it's already finished and that wouldn't be fair).

What was your WoL/D doing before and during the Fall of Dalamud? Were they residing in Eorzea? Was it the reason they came? What made them take the invitation from the Scions of the Seventh Dawn to heart? How soon did the events of Dalamud start to change them?

What about the years before? Where did they live? What was their profession, if any? Don’t tell us what we already know.

Add something new! Give us an idea of their day to day routine before, during and after Dalamud fell.
