A couple digital pickups over the past few weeks: the OTHER Mignola-inked Batman story, which I only just found out about 'p', and the first Lone Wolf and Cub volume.
LWaC was on my local comic book store shelves back when I was collecting in the late '80s, but it didn't click with me at the time. Flipping through a digital preview segment of the first random volume I looked at yesterday though--a bit about a poisoner and his samurai paranoia while he's charged with curing Daigorō's ("Cub's") burns--it was like oh, this is just an amazingly well-told story; I couldn't stop turning the pages. And the LWaC digital editions are very inexpensive; it seems like Dark Horse could be charging way more for these--but don't tell them. ^ +^

House-ad for the 1993 “Bloodlines” story arc running through DC’s superhero annuals and concluded with a two issue Bloodbath miniseries written by Dan Raspler.
On this day in 1997, Young Heroes in Love debuted from DC Comics. Written by Dan Raspler with art by Dev Madan and Keith Champagne, the young-superheroes-in-love comic had more drama, secrets and backstabbing than you typical episode of Days Of Our Lives. It was great!
The series lasted for 18 issues, and the artist talks about it being creator-owned on his website -- so maybe we'll see a Kickstarter for a collection someday like we did recently with Kevin Maguire's Tanga.
