A total acid trip, weird yet an intrinsic character study of a Chinese immigrant struggling wife and mother, and her dysfunctional family amid financial turmoil. The matriarch, Evelyn Wang escapes her reality through a series of superhero selves in the multiverse, in the end finding herself whole and healing her relationships with her husband and daughter.
