Made some edits for our heroes from the Beauty Marked episode just for the heck of it since the whole frozen in time part of Aragon's kingdom reminded me of old black and white films for some reason. I mostly just wanted to take clearer screenshots for future reference but then figured I'd replace the old images in a previous post regarding my Unseelie Vlad AU. If anyone is interested in the renders I can share those too!

Danny Phantom Randomness (Supernatural Endurance/Healing)

Something came to mind recently I’m not sure if anyone else has talked about before, so as usual, here I am. This is actually part of a passing thought I had more or less during the episode “Public Enemies” where a bunch of people at Casper High and the Mayor at the time were possessed by Walker and his goons. It goes something like this:

I touched on this a little before in a previous post about possession vs overshadowing so here I’d like to expand it a little further. Now, we all remember how Dash along with many other students and teachers at Casper High were overshadowed by Walk and his men, right? Well, while their bodies were being controlled, Danny didn’t pull any punches and honestly a lot of things that happened during their confrontation could have either killed or seriously hurt them if it weren’t for the superhuman strength and endurance that was extended to each person through the ghost inhabiting them at the time.

Here’s one example. Kwan gets slammed into the sidewalk with enough force that it breaks yet he’s able to escape completely unscathed. To be completely honest I kinda suck at math so I tried to look up a few things to get an idea of how difficult it is to break concrete in general and this is what I came up with...

32736 lb (Minimum Concrete Breaking Force) = 4000 psi

3000 lb (Concrete Endurance)

360-450 lb (Average Force Behind A Human Punch) = 120-150 psi

1000 lb (Average Force Behind A Human Kick)

190 lb (Average Weight Of Teen Football Player)

Feel free to crunch the numbers if you’re better at math than I am, but hopefully you get the idea. My point is, considering Danny’s superhuman strength and the force behind slamming Kwan into the ground like that (or Dash into the roof of a car for that matter) these two are lucky to be alive. They’re ALL lucky to have survived, which they only did because of the ghosts inside of them literally shielding these guys from all that serious damage.

With all that in mind, what I’m wondering is...does this protection include superhuman healing in the unlikely event that their host DOES get injured? Think about it, Danny’s taken quite a few beatings himself up until this point, but always bounced back the next day tired but without a single scratch or bruise on him. So let's say one day during a patrol or something, Sam or Tucker twist/break an ankle or their wrist. If Danny overshadowed them long enough, would that heal the bone/fracture as good as new?

If so, that would be a really cool way for him to indirectly heal people, which is an interesting concept if you ask me. Similarly, Danny could save someone from drowning by overshadowing them since ghosts can breathe underwater, or I guess it's more like they don’t have to breathe at all! I’m just saying there’s some potential here for ways to think of some more creative ways to make the most out of how overshadowing/possession works in the Danny Phantom universe.

We don’t see that many depictions of roses in the show so last night for the heck of it I traced and redrew part of a screenshot from the “Urban Jungle” episode. I even made some bonus Blood Blossom versions too! And finally, there’s some line art and a blank base I didn’t watermark either since this is literally just a recreation so please feel free to use them for reference in your own fanart!

I’ve mentioned it before but I much prefer Spectra’s original coloring in her shadow form. And since I used this screenshot as an example of that the most I recolored it to match what she used to look like. It definitely pops a lot more against the background and I made a couple of renders too of both versions.

It took a few tries to figure out how it looks in its entirety since the sword fighting scene in "Infinite Realms" goes by so fast in general. This is just a quick drawing I've been meaning to do anyway since I haven't seen many people make a full reference for this ecto-energy sword. I would have done Danny's too but his is...just a regular katana which is kinda boring. As a trade off, Danny did get a cool samurai outfit I have seen a lot of people draw! It's kind of a shame Vlad doesn't have one so it all balances out, sorta. Anyways, hope you like it! 

P.S. While I don’t like most of season 3, this sword fighting scene is really well choreographed. I would have loved to see more like it in the series...especially since they’re doing this in midair! There’s also an attack Vlad uses that makes the sword look more like his iconic neon pink so I did that instead of the lighter pink in this gif. I didn’t worry about matching things exactly, but I got pretty close!

Danny Phantom Randomness (Vlad’s Final Mansion in Wisconsin...)

So funny story, I was brushing up on a few things from the episode “Eye for an Eye” for the final part of my Good Vlad re-imagined timeline when I noticed something very intriguing. But before we get into that as far as I can tell Vlad lived in a total of 4 locations in the show since I’m counting his mountain chalet in the Rockies and I’d like to share those real quick before I get to the really cool part...

Also, quick disclaimer, sorry if I’ve already talked about Vlad’s mansions before but trust me this little detail I’m going to share at the end is totally worth it!

First of all there’s Vlad’s iconic castle, which is rebuilt exactly the same at least once after the events of “Million Dollar Ghost” when his ghost portal blew up since we see Danny go there a few more times and while it looks the same its clearly just a recreation since the original was blown sky high. I was going to use a gif to show that moment to you guys but it happens way too fast so I’m sharing a before and after screenshot instead.

Then there’s his mountain chalet and I gotta hand it to the guy, Vlad’s got style. Technically this is probably only a vacation home but since he uses it again in “Kindred Spirits” that’s why I’m counting it as one of Vlad’s homes.

After that we get the rebuilt mansion which I'm going to be talking about specifically in a moment, but for now I’m going to gloss over it to show Vlad’s final home in the series first, his mayoral mansion in Amity Park.

And now, with all that out of the way, lets move onto the main reason we’re here!

Ok so for this part I’m going to share the screenshots of the redesigned mansion we see in “Eye for an Eye” that sadly Vlad never got to enjoy living in. As far as I can tell, it was built in the same location as his first two castles but he scaled things down considerably so there’s only 3 floors this time, not counting the secret lab of course. I think the original castle had...what, 5 floors maybe along with all those tiny towers?

Anyways, here’s the front of the mansion with a brand new front gate and really nice gothic revival style architecture. I kinda love it actually compared to Vlad’s castle which is iconic to the series I know, but this one is probably my favorite out of the 4 locations overall so it’s a real shame it’s only in the show for a few minutes before the Guys in White destroy it! The fiends!

Now lets take a peek at what we got to see of the inside of this place. I know this room is probably a nod to his vampire theme and his old castle, but I love the medieval aesthetics of the master bedroom. I bet there’s a lot more in there too that we never got to see.

Moving onto the next room, I’m not even joking, I would love to have this much kitchen space irl. I combined two screenshots of it to give you a better idea of how large it is.

The last area we ever see is the library which is a recreation of the one in his original castle too with the exception that the entrance to his secret lab is no longer located behind the fireplace since this is where the Guys in White bust through the wall.

I purposefully skipped one area we see because this is where I noticed the small details that blew my mind cause I never noticed them before. Or if I did I didn’t realize how significant that could have been to the series if had it taken a totally different direction.

And here it is! Please excuse the awkward position of Vlad flying, I had to take a screenshot here to capture the main details I’d like to point out. So, does this look familiar to anyone? No? Well it should because we’ve seen it before!

Now while I know it’s hard to keep things consistent and we’ve seen a lot of the same locations in the show before, but the fact that they animated this area again just for this part of the episode really got me excited because do you know what this is...? This is the same lab Future Vlad holed himself away in after Dan blew up his castle in “The Ultimate Enemy!”

As if the fact that its in a cavern wasn’t enough of a give away, it also has a lot of the same items and devices in here. The only real difference is that Vlad phased through the ground to reach this version of it from the kitchen of the last mansion he lives in before moving to Amity Park.

I took screenshots of two different frames for each of these and lined them up like a few of the others I shared earlier to show off the fact that Future Vlad’s hiding place has the same Packer’s jerseys, flags, and dashboard as we see in the brief glimpse we got of the “new” lab current Vlad had built underneath his castle.

As you can see though, Future Vlad’s hiding place was in a cave on the surface instead beneath a welcome sign so they were both in entirely different locations in Wisconsin. Future Vlad was probably smart enough to escape somewhere that Dan would never think to look for him even if he found out he was still alive even after being stripped of his ghost half...

Personally I’d like to think they used the same lab design in the “new timeline” after Dan’s defeat on purpose to hint at the plans to bring Dan back for a rematch but considering how crappy most of season 3 was that’s probably just wishful thinking. But yeah, that’s all I wanted to share with you and I hope you enjoyed my random observation!

P.S. I saw Vlad living in this random house too in “Infinite Realms” too, it’s cute but doesn’t exactly give off the billionaire vibe.

I talked about this briefly on my discord server the other day, but I’m kinda surprised no one in the phandom really talks about this scene. This is why I have a personal headcanon that the Fright Knight is also the Headless Horseman in this world, or he was a long time ago when he roamed the Earth before being banished back to the Ghost Zone the first time which changed him. So, we got to talking about it and all of a sudden we came up with the most amazing yet silly idea...

What if, the Fright Knight...is a blob ghost just like Skulker? Only he possesses an empty suit of armor instead of a robotic suit? And unlike Skulker, he’s a shadow ghost just like Spectra and that’s why he doesn’t have a face.

Oh but it gets even better! I also joked about this idea that the Fright Knight’s blob ghost form without the armor...is a black cat. Bonus points if he’s a ghost kitten trying to sound like fear incarnate! I mean, black cats are kind of a trademark of Halloween so it’d make sense for the Spirit of Halloween to have a weaker form like this, don’t you think?

And there you have it, a cute new au/headcanon is born for one of my favorite characters, the Fright Knight! Do with it what you will! Now I’m going to try and go back to bed...

Danny Phantom Randomness (Sam & Danny’s Kiss Count)

Say what you will about Danny’s love-life or lack thereof, but his parents raised him right because he’s very respectful and doesn’t try to kiss a girl before it seems appropriate in most cases. I gotta respect him for that. Plus, it’s adorable that Danny’s such a romantic at heart...

Sure he has his Fakeout Makeout trick we see in “Memory Blank,” but something tells me Danny’s only ever done that with Sam which would technically make that both of their first kisses.

The two of them did it again in “Shades of Gray” too, I think this was the 3rd Fakeout Makeout?

Sam’s second Fakeout Makeout is with Dash in “Fanning the Flames.”

To be fair, Tucker’s the one who accidentally kissed Sam in “Life Lessons” since he was caught up in the moment, however it’s technically still a full on kiss.

Then there’s the whole Gregor/Elliot thing in “Double Cross my Heart.” Ugh, this one bugs me so much because while a part of me gets where Sam’s coming from since it’s flattering when someone likes you when you’re not used to getting that kind of attention, I said this once before but I honestly believe the ONLY real reason Sam was into him is because of the white hair and the black and white outfit since she was projecting her not-so-secret feelings for Danny onto Gregor/Elliot. He might have kissed her first, but Sam kissed him back pretty intensely.

Apart from Sam though, Danny hasn’t actually kissed ANY other girl. Well, ok he tried to a few times but even then, he waited until he knew it was something they both wanted to do like when Paulina/Kitty is the one who said, “If you like me, kiss me.” I think she also kissed him on the cheek while they were in the bowling alley too to motivate him to win.

The real Paulina does peck Danny on the cheek later when she realizes he’s Phantom though in “Reality Trip” but he’s clearly taken aback at first then pleasantly surprised.

Then there’s Valerie, even when Technus was pushing her and Danny together he never tried to kiss her first. Again, Valerie pecked him on the cheek to show affection and regret that she couldn’t keep dating him later on and it seriously breaks my heart since I prefer their relationship over the canon one since it felt more genuine. That’s just me though.

And finally, there’s the final two kiss scenes in “The Episode That Shall Not Be Named,” aka PP, where Sam does kiss Danny on the cheek before he heads into the Ghost Zone to round up ghosts to help save the world, and then he kissed her for real but...it doesn’t FEEL real apart from how gentle he is about it. I mean, just look at the difference in body language! He’s such a sweetheart and it reminds me all over again why we all probably had a crush on him back in the day.

I probably should have saved this for next Valintine’s Day or something but eh, that’s what these random posts are. Random ideas that pop into my head that I try to share before I forget or something I’ve been thinking for a while and never wrote down. So anyways my point is, Danny’s a real gentleman and Sam is very spirited I guess is a good word for it.
