FINALLY got around to redoing my old underswap napstablook / napstabot / dapperbot design :> i like them a whole lot. napstablook has never seemed very interested in being corporeal so i wanted to push the ghost element really hard, which was a lot of fun actually !

i think their arc would probably center around not trying to be someone they aren't, or maybe learning to make music just for their own enjoyment instead of for an audience and stepping down from the spotlight. they'd probably go back to being a ghost eventually, but they'd shift to using their remaining platform to help boost mettaton up instead!

So, what made you decide to make your own Dapperbot (Napstaton, I don't know that's why I call him and the majority of other people *shrugs shoulders) design instead of going with the canon or design? Don't get me wrong, I love your design, he looks so cute! But what made you decide to do that?

When we were first coming up with RB and making the characters, we began to notice that our Napsta was developing differently than how he typically is portrayed in other peoples Underswap. His personality was coming out more reserved, quiet, and not as confident. And as he developed more with us and got more rounded, we found that the original design just didn’t fit ours. So we decided to make our own, plus it seemed like a fun opportunity. 

We also decided to give him the “show name/DJ name” Dapperbot to make him separate from Underswaps original Napstaton. His personality and looks were a little different, so why not give him a different name too? But to the people who actually know him on a personal level, his name is Napstablook. Dapperbot is just a show name.

I know I said I was going into art silence for a while but I couldn’t help it, I am in love with the way @solaris-starr designed this character. He is a glorious glowing musicbox and you can’t convince me that’s not the greatest idea ever, click here and look at him shine.

Now that we have seen Icepants, I would like to know if he sell icecream, or maybe a Steak in the shape of Dapperbot's face ?

More like icecream in the shape of Dapperbot’s face~ It has gumball headphones and “screen.” They don’t always come out perfect though…

The good: Your friend realizing how much her people love her, and starting to regain hope in becoming the kind of ruler she always wished she was. What are Happstablook's pronouns? Some believe he/they chose to be male after receiving the body, but most say that since the body itself is referred to as it, "Ghost MTT" is actually transgender from non-binary (as ghosts, including he/them, are referred to as "they") to male (as Mettaton is referred to by everyone else as such). While Dapperbot is an unquestionable they, since we see no motivation from them to switch pronouns, what do you believe should be Underswap Mettatons pronouns?

“Should” is a bit of a strong word when we are talking about personal interpretations. We do have our own version of the characters for this story and we welcome everyone’s else as well. Your vision may not be our vision and that’s a good thing too.For our personal interpretation of Underswap, we go with the idea that ghost characters are by general rule genderless in both body and mind, and it’s only when they adopt a body that they become interested in the idea of identifying with a certain gender. They are, after all, creatures of the ethereal, and detached from most aspects of one’s personality that may relate to having a physical form to identify with in the first place. This description fits Happstablook as well as pre-body Napstablook, Dummy and Mad Dummy, and even ghost Frisk as well.So as far as our interpretation goes, Happstablook’s pronouns are they/them (although that may change when they adopt a body of their own), and Dapperbot, who already has a physical form, has chosen to use he/him pronouns.(Frisk used they/them, still uses they/them, and will take it as an insult if you ever call them otherwise, if only because they remember feeling pretty strongly about it while they lived)- Poisond
