Percy Jackson. A name I'm sure most of us have heard. The story of the greatest demigod who was ridiculed by the fates. The story we all have heard, whispered by the fates to every demigod.

A lesson. A legacy.

We've all heard the saying, “You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain.”

It's something the legacy of the gods heard growing up. But this story will make you think how much of it is really true.

The story of the hero who lived long enough to change the world. For the good or bad? Well, I think we all want that question answered.

Awww, thank you!! I just love when good characters suddenly get super dark, so I’m glad you’re enjoying my dark Hazel content!!

I do think there’s a difference between Percy and Hazel, since both of their powers are pretty different from each other’s. Percy’s able to control water, so really anything that has some concentration of water, he would probably be able to control. I love the idea that he’d even be able to control blood and people’s bodies (since we’re made up of about 70% of water). He choked Akhlys with poison since it had some concentration of water, so maybe, if he were to test his hands on blood, maybe he could control someone’s blood flow or the direction of blood 👀

As for Hazel, her powers are definitely more focused on metal and the more “deathly” aspects. If she decides to strengthen the death parts of her powers, I would say that she’s probably similar to Nico in terms of all the things that he can go. Maybe she could disintegrate someone with a bare touch of her hand.

But I love thinking about her Mist powers, too. She would be able to completely change the vision that someone can see. She could make someone’s fears come to life, like reliving some terrible memory or someone like that.

And, of course, she can control metal. I bet that she’s able to control the components & atoms of any metal that she can find, so that means she could possible even mold some weapons to how she wants them to be. She could call any and all weapons in a battle to her and make them move to her will. She could change the entire tide of a war.

Not to mention, humans do have some metal in our bodies. Imagine the things she could do to other people when she finds that out.

I hope we can all agree that Hazel is the most powerful demigod ❤️

As for who could go dark faster... honestly, I don’t have an answer to that because it really depends on what either of them are facing. But if we’re going to be honest, I think that since Percy is quicker to anger, he may be more prone to becoming “dark.” But again, it’s totally up to what either of them are facing.

Also let’s all please consider having dark!Hazel and dark!Percy together in battle. I would kill to see that. No one would be safe.

Have me musing about a Dark!Percy, Dark!Apollo, and Dark!Nico fanfiction that I totally didn’t come up with at 2:30 in the morning.... I absolutely love angsty fanfictions and this was the first decentish idea I’d been able to come up with that didn’t involve Annabeth breaking up a with Percy for no valid reason and actually had someone that would join Percy (Apollo).

We Rise

Writer’s Month Day Ten! The prompt is Dark AU.

Summary: Annaliese doesn't win the fight against Percy, but perhaps, she’ll win the war against the gods.

Note: This is a Dark!Percy AU obviously, where Percy is fed up with the gods and their behavior. Annaliese is just a character I made up to fight Percy. And you will probably notice that I used lines from this fantastic post because its what inspired me. Also, I know for me, at least, that I am posting this one 8/11/19 12;19 am PDT. I has some troubles writing this because I was stuck on knowing what to write exactly and I had some internet issues. So sorry about that but I got it done! Whoo!

   She’s heard the stories about him, everyone has. Once, they were told with loud praises and vigorous cheers. Now they’re whispered in shadows and with darting glances. People once approached him, eager to talk to him, to ask for help, to just see him. Some of her older siblings, and some of the older campers, tell the stores of his heroic deeds, he wasn’t always a monster. She tried getting every scrap of intel from the older campers, from Chiron, hell even Mr. D! But nothing could have prepared her for this.

   This being cradled in his arms from when she collapsed, him softly stroking her hair, and humming some tune that seemed familiar. Her body hurt, hurt so much. She wanted to sleep for a week. And get some ambrosia.

   “Shh, its alright.” He whispered. She looked up at him, watery eyes gazing into his. She’s never been so close to him. She can smell the sea, see his eyes churning like the ocean in a storm. “You’re doing amazing, darling. It was cruel of them to send you to fight me. You never would have won, its not your fault.” His calming voice oddly soothed her. Her bones felt too heavy, and her side throbbed, and she just wanted to sleep. Annaliese blinked her eyes open again, surprised that they had closed.

   Percy’s face wasn’t as soft as it was before. It was harder, stone like. She felt a chill spread through her body as his seemingly glowed with rage. His hand clutched tighter to her body. This must be it. The moment where he finally kills her.

   “This nice woman here, and her team, is going to escort you to the medical wing. Don’t worry about a thing, you will be cared for here.” Or not. She didn’t protest, mainly because she knew she needed it. She’ll figure it out later, later when she wasn’t exhausted, when she wasn’t potentially bleeding out, later when he wasn’t looking at her with those unnatural eyes and serious expression. The team picked her up and she was off.

   Perseus Jackson stood and picked up his trident along the way. Twirling it in his hand he walked to the balcony that was off of the room where they were previously fighting in. He gazed over the land, noting the people running around, medical and soldiers.

   “Sir?” Perseus tilted his head but did not look. “What do you wish to do now?” Perseus sucked in a breath, felt the breeze blow against him and gazed into the horizon. The sun was rising. He released it.

   “Today marks the day the gods stop sending their children to fight their battles. Tomorrow,” he turns, a smirk on his face and eyes glinting dangerously. “We storm Olympus.”

In a Dark!Percy AU, who do you think would be his ideal lover and why?

I really like this question, I love the Dark AUs I always found them really interesting.

But there's different kinds of Dark AU and so of Dark!Percy :

One of the most common Dark!Percy is the one betrayed by the gods (after the two wars, the gods could have tried to kill him because they were scared of him for example) : for this one I think my favorite pairing would be Calypso. She knows how awful the gods can be, even if some of them are nice with her. And I think she could be a good balance for a Dark!Percy, she would not stop him in his vendetta but she could also be the only light in his life left, the only one he could still rely on (cause I picture the gods killing Sally and some of Percy's friends).

The second Dark!Percy which comes to my mind is one who would follow Kronos : for this one Ethan is my favorite. He has more experience in the "betrayed" and "leftover" field and could become a sort of guide for Percy, and a friend for sure. And on the other hand Percy would make Ethan happier and finally feel loved (and maybe in this AU, if Kronos still lose in the end, Percy and Ethan could run away together) (or maybe Alabaster, cause he has run away for real so Percy could have left with him).

And lastly one of the most popular Dark!Percy is... well, simply an evil Percy, a bad guy, usually with psychological problems since birth but who always acted like fine. I don't really know with who he could fit better in this scenario, maybe Octavian ? But the ones I prefer are alternate versions of characters, it would be : Dark!Thalia, Dark!Rachel and Dark!Leo. I imagine Thalia as thirsty for power and with a Percy like her... well the Titan's Curse would soon be over, Thalia and Percy would join Kronos before maybe killing him and take the power. For Dark!Rachel I think she would want to know more about Percy's world, so she would become his friend (and cause she had been treated like crazy for a long time by her parents they could bond over that) and after becoming the Oracle, her and Percy could use her powers at their advantage. And finally Dark!Leo would hate the mythological world because of what happened to his mother so he and Percy would try to take it over and fall in love in the process.

Waouh, okay I wrote a lot more than what I expected, your question really inspired me anon, gave me new ideas for AUs. Dark!Percy really is an interesting concept that I want to explore more now.
