Remember when I said I beat 10 Kirby games this year? Well, every time I completed one of them, I also made a sketch of its final boss!

OH MY LORD THE WAY I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW SHADOW DEDEDE. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU TELL US HIS PERSONALITY AND MORE IMPORTANTLY WHAT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MIR ARTHUR IS LIKE I'VE GOT THEORIES.

So you wanna know more about the King of Mirror Dreamland, huh?

Ruling the largest faction in the Mirrorworld, Shadow Dedede's reputation precedes him as a gracious host and an ironclad negotiator. After all, it takes guts to persuade any and all reflections into joining him, and even more to see them stay. Mirror Dreamland prides itself on its peaceful, sprawling lands, though the lack of action often gets it labeled the "boring" faction when compared to the rest. Shadow Dedede doesn't mind. He's used his might to garner a crowd in the past, but in recent years, he's found contentment in the mundane side of mirror life.

After some hinting here and there, it's time to admit that Shadow Dedede is also one of the few who remains in contact with the Galactic Star Alliance! The two groups have always been external allies, both sworn under Dark Mind, but spent years arguing over the coveted role of favorite. Eventually, the Alliance claimed to have "won" the title, not long after Dark Meta Knight was sworn into their care.

Ultimately, it did nothing to quell the friendly rivalry that remains between the two leaders, and might've fueled it further. Though they haven't seen each other's faces in years, their game of letters remains. Shadow Dedede writes, and Mir Arthur always, always answers.

what the mirror world was like before dark mind permanently corrupted it is just a distant memory now. it's no use to dwell on the unattainable. but if we could think back, just for a second...
