This is something I've been working on since early October, trying to compile as much of my headcanons regarding my version of "Kirby's species" as I can into one post. Some I have shared before, others I never mentioned here at all.

au/ headcanon thing regarding void termina and the ancients in general

Popopo was a well renowned hero that traveled the universe, spreading happiness and helping dreams come true wherever they went

They're the same "species" as galacta knight meta knight and kirby (ignore their little legs)

-> General hc for the species is that they gain colors depending on the emotions of the peope around them (gratitude and joy from dreamlanders caused kirby to become pink; love from the waddle dee farmers caused gk to become magenta; etc. the intensity seems to depend on how much emotion they were given. popopo doesn't seem to have all that much color though... (bros depressed))

GK's predecessor (technically)

Direct inspiration for the star rod and fountain of dreams

They had a goofy friendly rivalry with nightmare before he became an asshole

-> something about balance or whatever. it wasn't that deep

an unfortunate series of events caused them to become void termina and being sealed away (couldn't handle the pressure i suppose. how tragic)

Well Well Well, it's been a while hasn't it <--- phrase that's been repeated thausent of times now.

Well, hi guys! With artfight getting closer, It motivated me to make refs for characters that were already on my list of work, but never got the energy to finish them hdjflgf.. and one of those characters are all pink-themed! Tinkle Twinkle Popopo and Kawashima/Bow! so, here's some bullet points for both characters:

TINKLE TWINKLE POPOPO

The Heroine of Popstar! She first arrived into the planet when she was a three years old child. She's got amnesia.

A very happy-go-lucky girl! She loves venturing around green grass and making new friends on the way!

Speaking of friends, she has a friend group with Fumumodoki, Nana and Gluante. The quadrants are inseparable best friends for eternity!

Rarely does this pinkette gets peeved by insults, but “jolly fellow” would make her VERY peeved.

The biggest Motamato fan out there! When she's not cooking it, she explores any bushes in the outskirts of Dream Town for a potential red goodness.

Forgiving to a fault. Believes in giving second chances

Was in two relationships in the past. First with bow/kawashima, and the other with Chu-Chu. Neither of the relationships worked, but the girls remain good friends!

Freelance Chef! Occasionally helps Nana and Gramps in their restaurant! As well as Kawasaki with his.

I really wanted to do another lore piece, for this year... I had to draw the queen herself, TWINKLE POPOPO! Honestly, the evolution on her lore was incredible. I love how she's originally painted out as this friendly whimsical figure. Only to have the rug pulled out for under everyone the fact she was this chaotic deity that sees everyone as characters in her story, that reveal was such iconic turning point in your Kirby AU. Brilliantly done, it made me really fall in love with her. And I think we all have a little Twinkle in us, when writing for our character, LOL.

Anyways, I hope I managed to get her markings right, I had so much fun with this piece. Thank you so much, for always inspiring me with art, it motivates me to keep going and for being a friend. ~<3
