I've built out my Sonic-Shadow roleswap AU titled the Tri-Avatar AU, and let's just rundown how powerful everyone is:

Sonic (switched with Shadow) is an extension/manifestation of Dark Gaia made from dark energy. He is their harbinger and could destroy the whole planet if he let Dark Gaia take over (he doesn't)

Amy (switched with Omega) is the sole survivor of Little Planet's massacre and blessed by Solaris. She can tell fortunes and turn invisible, and though she doesn't know it, create pocket dimensions. She was also trained and given a suit by Dark Oak (switched with Eggman), which gives her even more capabilities

Knuckles (switched with Rouge) is the last echidna and searches for remnants of his clan. Because he's the last, Khaos (not Chaos), who is in the form of the Master Emerald, blessed him, and now he can turn into a living Chaos Emerald at great cost to himself

Shadow is the Ultimate Lifeform, the pinnacle of perfection within the Black Arms race when the Black Arms are already powerful and highly adaptable

Maria (switched with Tails) needed to be given the power of flight, so I decided to give her wings with her illness being caused by her bones having a weakened density. But also, after remembering the Glyphic Canyon implies the Black Arms worship birds, I've decided to make her their goddess on par with Sonic, Amy, and Knuckles (the three avatars of the primordials)

Cream (switched with Trip) has healing powers because of a blessing from Light Gaia (not quite the same as Sonic's situation) and trained herself through years of protecting chao for reasons I won't get into here

But yeah, everyone is powerful in this AU. The fights are going to go so hard
