I Wish - Emma and Niall

After I had taken Maddie home and her mother was back, I went home too. It was already dark, I was walking down the pavement. When I had reached the corner of my street I saw Emma sitting on the fencing in front of my house. I walked towards her. ‘’Em?’’ Emma looked up, her mascara was all run out. She’d been crying. Not one word left her mouth. She got up from the fence and went to stand opposite to me, her arms crossed as it was quite cold. ‘’What’s going on?’’ I hated seeing Emma like this. ‘’I- I broke up with Dan…’’ ‘’What?’’ I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. ‘’Don’t make me say it again,’’ she sighed before bursting into tears. I quickly grabbed her into a hug. Saying soothing words to make her feel better. ‘’Why though?’’ I asked and Emma got out of the hug while while wiping the tears from her cheeks with her sleeve. ‘’Because I-‘’ ‘’You can say it.’’ ‘’Because I’m in love… with you.’’ It was quiet for what felt like 2 minutes. It was shorter obviously. ‘’Say something please..’’ I didn’t say a word. I just stepped closer to her and kissed her. Something I had wanted to do for a long time. I felt my cheeks getting warmer, butterflies fluttered in my stomach. Her lips were synchronizing with mine. It was my first kiss with her and it was the best kiss in my entire life. Our kiss stopped. Our foreheads still touching. ‘’I have been in love with you for a long time,’’ I whispered. I guess wishes do come true.
