David Austen ‘Crown Princess Margareta,’ English Climbing Rose
David Austen, The Last Trapeze Artist, 2021.
You can't go around being on your guard all your life and talk about some kind of freedom, so we all make it a point to find each other, to be friends, to share each other's needs and ideas, to talk about people honestly and never to lie to each other.

David Austen: The End of Love
From the David Austen & Man Ray exhibition at inglebygallery
Austen's painting, 'The End of Love', is related to his film End of Love, which is currently in development. Set in a gloomy London music hall, a cast of strange characters perform a show at the end of the world. In the centre of the exhibition, he hung a star mobile, and in the corner placed a small spray-paint drawing of a moon-like head.
I purchased A SHROPSHIRE LAD x3 from David Austin and I’m hoping it will thrive on the slightly drier soil situation near the barn. This rose is supposedly a trooper that can withstand quite a bit of abuse. It also seems to grow rather large and abundant. I’m excited to see what this nearly thornless beauty does.
Shrub Rose: Lovely, soft, peachy pink rosettes, with a strong, delicious fruity tea rose fragrance. Exceptionally vigorous, healthy and reliable. Almost thornless.
Good for disease resistance
