The Emergency Backup Goalie (EBUG) is unique to hockey, it basically says every arena has to have someone who, if three goalies on one team all get hurt, they have to suit up, which is how David Ayers ended up not just dressing (fairly common), but actually playing. Hockey has another thing, the three stars, which is the 3 best players in the game (regardless of team), it’s great that he got a star as well. And it’s awesome how much the fans in Toronto cheered him on.
