Today in Leah loves how this Fiyeraba does this scene....

what's funny is that when I originally wrote this down in my notes, I phrased it as "Elphie bodyslams Fiyero in Lion Cub"

and like

looking at it more closely now, what happens is in fact so much weirder than that???

Lindsay does indeed just sort of throw herself at Sam, but she's also already CAUGHT him and started torquing at that point -- so then we get this just delightfully awkward clamping situation where she has him snagged not just by the hand but with her entire elbow

and in a scene that's supposed to be ENTIRELY "hormonal teenagers do and say and feel things they have never done or said or felt before because they drive each other crazy" it's just such a great flavor

look at her SPRINT after him

look at her obvious "oh, shit" face once she's the dog who catches the car and realizes her impulsive actions have consequences

it makes me so happy
