TW: Heavy mentions of blood/violence, killing hostile mobs, sword fighting, lil suggestive but not really but I’ll put this here anyways.
D3rlord3 didn’t need a squire, honestly didn’t want one either, but you’d been assigned to him by the head guard. It wasn’t his decision to make; so now you were by his side every second of every work day.
Stationed out in a faraway village in need of protection, the added responsibility of making sure you became a trained and productive member of the royal guard sat on his shoulders. You were only maybe two or so years younger than he was, full of life and determination, excited to learn.
You weren’t bad company by any means, taking your position seriously, but you were so- so kind. You hadn’t been hardened and broken by the world around you, eyes still bright and sparkling, reminding him of his husband at home.
He really had a type, didn’t he?
He’d expressed to Avery how he’d taken interest in you, the man he’d fallen in love with telling him in not so many words to “get us a boyfriend” and now D3rlord3 was calculating how to go about courting you in a respectable way.
It was uncommon for knight and squires to even be friends, but he got along with you just fine, maybe even better than that. You smiled at him like the sun, hung onto every word he said, took his tips and concerns seriously, respected him.
He felt like a fool and maybe a little ashamed. Was this selfish? Was it selfish to want you? Selfish to crave your body against his? Crave your lips or your hands? For you to talk and never stop? He felt like a lovesick idiot, driving himself crazy.
It had been the same situation with Avery and D3rlord3 cursed himself for being so predictable.
He snapped out of his thoughts as you approached him outside the local blacksmith, sword on your hip, armor on, helmet obscuring those beautiful eyes he described to his husband more than once, “howdy!” You greeted, smile evident even though D3rlord3 couldn’t see it, “Goodmorning.”
“Whatcha doing outside here? Did your sword break?” D3rlord3 shook his head, pointing down at the section of his armor that covered his knee, nowhere to be seen, “repairs.”
“Ah.” You responded in understanding, positioning yourself beside him, “ya trip and fall?”
“I’m not as old as you think I am y’know.” You snickered, “two years older than me is basically ancient.” He huffed as your snicker turned into a genuine laugh at his obvious deadpan, gently tapping you in the back of the head, “Got a report this morning that the mines are swarmed with mobs again, so that’s what we’ll do today.”
“I hope a zombie drops something cool this time, last time I got an iron bar.”
“How about you try to not take an arrow to the shoulder instead?” You crossed your arms, making D3rlord3’s stomach flutter. Anything you did flustered him, it was pathetic.
“Boooooo! You’re no fun.”
“Having to tear an arrow out of your shoulder wasn’t fun.” You placed your hand over the part of your armor where the healed wound sat underneath, grumbling something along the lines of, “it was one time”
After D3rlord3 received his armor piece back and was once again fully equipped, you both trudged out of town and down to the mines. They were damp and dark, humid this time of year, making D3rlord3 sweat underneath all the metal and layers. He walked behind you as you took lead, covering your flank protectively.
“Doesn’t seem very swarmed to me..” you grumbled, looking around in obvious disappointment. D3rlord3 watched as you fiddled with your gauntlets, pulling them on a little tighter just as an arrow buried itself into the dirt by your head. You gasped and you both drew your weapons, taking stance and surveying, “up!” D3rlord3 drew his gaze upwards at your voice, tensing in preparation as he saw the swarm staring down at the two of you. He shoved you out of the way as they descended, covering you as a hoard of zombies grabbed and grappled at the two of you.
A hiss had D3rlord3 looking back from the chaos, seeing your sword embed into a creeper right before it could explode and cause a cave-in. You ran head-first into the danger, slashing and swinging in the ways he taught you. He couldn’t help but stare, but was pulled from his lovesick thoughts when a skeleton embedded an arrow in his chest plate.
Gods. He had to get his head in the game.
He cut through his part of the hoard easily, splattering blood and gunpowder across every surface, his armor, his sword. Just as fast as the chaos started, it ended, and D3rlord3’s eyes immediately searched for you.
His eyes widened and a heat trailed up his spine, watching you tug your helmet off with a deep breath that raised your chest plate. Your skin glistened with sweat, your face splattered with droplets of mob remains, armor drenched and sword thoroughly soaked. He took another breath that did little to settle his nerves, trudging through the carnage to grab your helmet and shove it back on your head, “wait until we know we’re safe. You’ll get killed that way.”
“Mm..got it.” You adjusted it and the two of you continued on, confirming that all the mobs were dead. It was dark when you both exited the cave and D3rlord3 led you to his and Avery’s home without as much as a question if you wanted to, but you didn’t seem to mind.
“Hey you- woah! What happened??” Avery, gorgeous and beautiful Avery stood on the front porch, watching the two of you strip down to your underclothes so armor could be washed and showers could be had. You smiled with your teeth, chaotic and proud as you sat down on the top step to pull your sabatons from your feet and dump them in the growing pile of bloodied metal in the grass, “kicked ass!” Avery smiled at you the same way Derek had seen Avery smile at him, clapping you on the back as he passed to stand with Derek, “nice! Glad you two are okay. [Name], why don’t you get in the shower and we’ll start dinner?”
“Much appreciated!” You padded into their home, already familiar with the layout.
Avery smiled up at his husband, quirking a slime brow that said all Avery needed to. Derek cleared his throat in embarrassment, pulling his helmet off and letting his long, dark hair out of the braid he had it in, “not a word.”
“Oh. I have so many words.”
“Is the hottest guy I’ve seen since you? Yeah. I’m aware. Did you see him??”
“I’ve only seen him all day. He’s driving me crazy.”
“Not his fault you’re ultra gay.”
“Like you’re not?” Avery made a “psh” sound, walking up the steps, “I’ll get dinner going, go wash up! You stink!” Derek sighed in mock exasperation, heading inside after his husband. He walked into the bathroom, flushing as he saw the steam against the mirror and heard you in the shower, “hello?”
“Just me.” Derek clarified, “Need some clothes?”
“Yes please! And a towel if that’s okay.” Derek washed his hands before grabbing you a towel and some clothes consisting of Avery’s pajama pants and his own t-shirt, hanging them on the shower curtain rod for your easy access, “thank you.” You left the shower on for him, drying off and dressing yourself as he looked away, respecting your privacy.
“Okay big dawg, shower’s free.” He huffed, “big dawg?”
“Avery’s lil dawg, I’m medium dawg.” Derek tilted his head curiously at you, “Avery..is taller than you.”
“Yeah but I give medium dawg energy.”
“I would love to study your mind, you strange- strange man.” You snickered, “get clean! I’ll help Avery with dinner.” You hung your towel up politely and skittered down to the kitchen, leaving Derek with his own flustering thoughts and a warm shower.
You looked so good in his and his husband’s clothes.
Avery smiled as you walked into the kitchen, “hey [Name], feel better?”
“You’re always welcome here; no worries.” You flashed a grin at him, the same one he’d heard his husband rave about over and over again. He slowly leant against the counter, cupping your chin in one cold hand when you stepped close enough, “you’ve got a cute face, y’know that?”
“Huh?” Avery felt your face get warm, a pleased purr in the back of his throat as he spoke, “I’d like to think you’ve caught on by now.”
“Caught on? I don’t- am I missing something?” Avery guided you closer, grinning cheekily to himself as you followed, “c’mon, Derek doesn’t stop talking about you, I can’t keep my eyes off you- and I don’t think either of us are very good at keeping you off our minds.” Your face grew a lot warmer, the heat trailing down your neck, “oh? I mean- aren’t you two?..” the question trailed off your tongue nervously, making Avery coo, “yeah, we’re married, but we think you’d be the perfect addition.” He cupped your face with both hands properly now, leaning your head up so you were almost chest to chest, “how about it?”
“I..uh- and Derek wants this too?”
“What-“ Avery cut you off as he pulled you in for a kiss, tilting his head and bending down enough that you wouldn’t have to strain your neck. Your hands came up to grip at his flower print shirt, making an embarrassing sound when his hands let go of your face to hold your hips instead. His slime hair draped over the two of you, hiding your faces as he moved his mouth against your’s.
A knock on the wall had you pulling away in a panic, panting as you made eye contact with Derek. His golden eyes gleamed in the light of the setting sun as it split across the kitchen, like the intricate pedals of a sunflower, “oops.” Avery giggled, completely unapologetic, “looks like I got to him first.”
“Traitor.” Derek mumbled fondly, stepping up behind you. Your whole body grew warm as you turned around to face him, back pressed up against Avery as Derek boxed you in against him, “is this what you want?” His voice was stern, but barely a whisper, “if it’s not, you can say no.”
“I want this. I want both of you.” Derek didn’t respond, instead pulling you in just like Avery had, stealing the second kiss of the night with warm arms wrapping around your waist and almost lifting you off your feet. His mouth wasn’t as soft as Avery’s, the edges of a scar rubbing against your mouth. It wasn’t at all unpleasant, only succeeding in pulling a shudder from you and pushing closer, feeling like you were drowning in the world’s most beautiful men.
This couldn’t be real. They wanted you.
Holy shit they wanted you.
That’s it for now! Hope you enjoyed!
Have a nice day and stay safe!
