DBH Rarepair Week Day 4: Red String Of Fate
Fate bound them together from the start. They were opposites, in so many ways.
Daniel was at the most unstable he’d ever be, but in turn, Connor was at peek stability. They balanced each other out, Connor bringing a sense of calm to Daniel, and Daniel showing a textured, complicated life to Connor.
Coming from an enriched family life where he was integrated in the day to day routines of a family, Daniel’s set of experiences was the opposite of Connor’s. Connor had no history, nothing to compare the event of meeting Daniel to.
Connor killed Daniel, but also saved him in the end, bringing him back to life.
The events that killed Daniel and temporarily killed Connor made Connor afraid of heights, but made Daniel want to soar. Connor was his grounding, and Daniel was Connor’s inspiration to fly.
Daniel was the first deviant android Connor met. Connor was the last android that Daniel met. Connor’s activation date is the same as Daniel’s deactivation date.
Some may say that there’s no way they could be drawn towards each other. One android that broke the law, and one that should be upholding the law. But life is full of the gray spaces between black and white.
They’re both not part of the android world entirely, nor the human world. They live in the space between the worlds, a lonely place. Together, they might just have a chance at bridging the gap.
Two separate parts that were fine on their own but when fit together, they slid into each other’s cracks, building an unshakable bond. Through understanding each other, they gain a greater understanding of the world.
