So this has been driving me insane:

8x06 - Josh’s Statement

Um, do you care for him?

You're romantically inclined toward this person.

Do you think about him when he's not around?

Are his concerns your concerns?

Um, is his happiness at least as important to you as yours?

And could you see a future there?

Let’s examine these under the light of Eddie:

1) do you care for him? - obvious, yes of course he does. Big things, and small. Baked him cookies for the drive, and made them so they don’t give him a sugar crash.

2) Do you think about him when he's not around? - I think 8x11 showed this more than ever, but we’ve always known that Buck is a little bit obsessed

3) Are his concerns your concerns? - Chris is the biggest example of this. But it’s a general truth.

4) is his happiness at least as important to you as yours? - more so. Wasn’t happy about letting him go, but did because he knew it was what Eddie needed to find true happiness.

5) And could you see a future there? - He doesn’t ever want to imagine a future without Eddie.

You’ll notice that I left out one.

6) You're romantically inclined toward this person? - previously, we had no canon proof of this. We could read into subtext that suggested yes, but nothing concrete. 8x11 doesn’t confirm it - but it starts to break down this final step.

So - do you love him?

No obviously not, he’s a renter and he’s straight!
