DCP Fall 2018 Update
Well friends. I GOT IN! My arrival date is August 13th, and I will be working Front Desk for one of the 28 beautiful resorts on site at Walt Disney World!
Acceptance!
Applied: 1/23/17 Phone Interview: 1/25/17 Time Scheduled: 2:00pm Actual Time: 2:05pm Length: 20 minutes Interviewer’s Name: Nancy Acceptance Date: 2/14/17 Role: Attractions
A dream come true
I got accepted to the Disney College Program Fall 2016 Custodial
Hey! I'm thinking about applying to DCP. Are there any tips on how to get accepted?
Hey!
First off, apply early! The earlier you apply the more roles they have open for you. During the Web-based interview, which is basically the preliminaries for the phone make sure you’re honest, but try to avoid neutral answers. The way it works is the scoring prefers answers like “strongly like” or “strongly dislike”.
Also on the Web-based interview it is best to put that you are open to different roles, I said I would be open to every role except custodial, mousekeeping, and lifeguarding, since I’m allergic to most cleaning supplies and am not qualified to be a lifeguard. The more options you are willing to have open the more they are willing to accept you since you can be put in more places.

I wish you good luck and hope this helps!
EDIT: another thing I forgot to mention is that if/when you are accepted you have to make a housing deposit within a week to keep your spot. It's about $300 so be prepared for that. Is start saving now if you don't have a parent/guardian who can pay it for you.
Is this real life?
So it turns out, the third times the charm!!! I made it into DCP Spring 2016 for attractions!! I'm pumped. This was a shock to me seeing how I thought I did so bad on my interview I even forgot I applied until the congratulations email popped up in my email! I'm so ready for my next adventure in life! But now I have to make friends 🙀 and I'm not sure if I know how to people?!
Literally me once I got accepted.
“I still check my Dashboard to check if my DCP acceptance is still real because it still doesn't feel real.”
I still can’t believe it...
I can’t believe that I got accepted to this amazing program. This is such an amazing opportunity that I have been given. I’m still stuck on the fact that I was amazed about getting as far as the phone interview. Just getting that far was magical enough. I knew that even if I didn’t get accepted, that just getting to the point of being given the PI was so great. I know so many people don’t even get to the WBI let alone the PI. I’m going to make another post about what it was like when I actually got the email finding out that I was given this opportunity. This just doesn’t even feel real yet. I don’t think it’s really going to hit me until I’m there. It’s just mind blowing how many messages and everything that I’m getting from friends and family congratulating me and such. I just. I’m so blown away by this experience. I can’t believe it. Dreams really do come true, they really do.
