————————————————————
Amir:
Amir stared at the small plush you held up proudly in your hands, unsure how to feel about it.
“…Azizam.” He began lightly, looking the mini-Amir up and down with a tight-lipped smile. “…what is this?”
“It’s you.”
“I can see that.” He noted, nodding. “…why is it me?”
You have a shrug as if making a plush of him was the most common thing people did. Was it? Amir wouldn’t know, but you were…quite the strange one. Surely this was some kind of joke.
“I dunno, I thought it’d be cute.” You answered, before pausing. “…do you not think it’s cute?”
Instantly, Amir’s entire demeanor shifted, putting a hand over his chest, like he’d been offended by your words, eyes wide.
“No! How could you ever think I would find any idea of yours any less than brilliant? You may as well be a genius rivaling—“
“I didn’t ask about the idea, I asked if you thought it was cute.”
Amir froze, realizing he’d been caught, and he gave a slight sigh.
“…it…is cute in terms of how it looks, yes. I’m not saying that it is ugly. I’m just…still a little confused why you got this for me.”
“So you can have it.” You said, holding it out to him yet again, looking at him expectantly. Amir took the plush after a pause, picking it up by its left arm as he stared at it in confusion.
“I still don’t understand—“
“There you go, look at you two! So cute.” You said, speaking about the same as a Facebook comment section, before abruptly turning on your heel and leaving your bathroom without another word, leaving Amir calling after you, still utterly puzzled by the whole thing. He sighed in defeat, until he felt a hand tap his shoulder.
He turned to see Barry holding up a plushie similar to his, but instead of Amir, it was an exact replica of Barry. Barry smiled bashfully.
“Welcome to the club, darling. And no—I don’t know why either. Take it as a compliment, no?”
“A compliment?” Amir echoed, squinting down at the plush in his hands and cocking his head to the side. Strange…
Amir was used to dishing out compliments daily, practically every interaction being nothing but sweet talk (minus his talks with Johnny and Jean Loo). A compliment, for him?
Hm.
Amir never spoke about the plush again after that interaction, but on days you saw him again, you often caught him tucking something just as shiny as him behind his back before greeting you.
Cabrizzio:
Cabrizzio hummed a tune under his breath, having just come back from a conversation with Curt and Rod. Interesting, they were, he liked to hear their occasionally lighthearted jabs at each other, refreshing after constantly hearing himself speak only flowery words of praise and poetry. Of course, that was how he was, he didn’t mind. But it was a nice change to witness.
So was what he saw when he looked to the side at the sound of movement, only to spot you, crouching on the floor as you maneuvered a stuffie with striking resemblance to himself across the counter.
“Bongiorno, mamacita,” you said in a terrible attempt at an Italian accent, butchering the language wonderfully . You pointed the plush at him while you spoke. “Mm. Mamma Mia. Pizzetta.”
Cabrizzio couldn’t help but smile at your (terrible) attempt at Italian. Was it even an attempt? It sounded more like floundering for something Italian-related to say. Nevertheless, it was amusing.
“What are you doing, amore mio?”
“Being you.” You insisted, moving the little plush again.
“Mamma Mia.”
He chuckled, taking the plush from your hands and holding it gently, despite your protests when he took it away.
“Ah, caro, you wound me. I do not sound like that.”
“Fine, you be you and see how that goes.” You teased, to which Cabrizzio responded to with another small laugh, before clearing his throat, setting the little plush back on the counter and speaking smoothly.
“Ah, amore, you are so, so, full of life and passion, like a bright summer day, a field of wildflowers.”
He took a moment to think.
“..And I am full of…” Silence. “Stuffing and passion.”
You snorted, taking the plush back and putting on that horrible Italian accent again.
“Ah, yes, so, so full of passion. Passion for pizzette.”
For another hour or so, all the objects in the kitchen heard was you and Cabrizzio taking turns pretending to be the little plushie of him, and once that was over? Cabrizzio insisted he’d look forward to it again.
Dante:
“…blue flame, that’s literally the coolest thing ever, but I wouldn’t let me touch it.”
Dante said with a smile, looking fondly at the little plushie you held proudly in your arms.
“It looks pretty flammable.”
You frowned at him. “I am too, you kiss me all the time.”
“That’s a little different, you know? Object logic is weird sometimes— Skylar told you about her little suspension of disbelief thing?”
He paused and then grinned. “Maybe you cancel out me with how smoking you are. Eh? Eh? How was that?”
“That was pretty good, actually.” you said with a small snicker, but it molded into a pout.
“You can’t love your mini-Dante.”
“Mini-Dante has you, though! He’ll never be lonely around you.”
Your pout didn’t disappear. “You can’t give him your love.”
“Give him a little kiss for me. On the forehead, that’s where he likes it.”
Dante encouraged. You obliged, pecking the plush gently on its teeny tiny forehead with an over-exaggerated ‘MWAH’. Dante laughed at that, and he put a hand on his hip as he watched you continue to pepper mini-Dante with kisses all over.
“Okay, okay, that’s enough love for mini-Dante.”
He spread out his arms and wiggled his eyebrows jokingly.
“What about to-scale Dante?”
You smirked and put the stuffie down on the couch, walking up to him and letting him embrace you warmly (literally) and give you a scorching kiss on the cheek, squeezing you with gusto.
“Ahh…there we are.” He said, beaming. “Much better when I can kiss you back, right?”
“Mmmm….I don’t know…I think mini-Dante’s the better kisser.”
“Maybe I will test if he’s flammable.”
“Dante-“
Jacques:
Of all things, you probably should have expected this, but it was still surprising to see your pirate boyfriend yelling and pointing his makeshift sword at a soft plushie of him when you walked into the living room.
“BACK, SCUM! VILE SHAPESHIFTING SPIRIT, I SHALL BLOW YE FROM MY SHIP LIKE A—“
“Noooo, don’t touch him!” You said, scooping up the tiny plushie and hugging it to your chest, putting on a dramatic tone as if it were your son instead of a plush.
“He’s a baby!”
Jacques stared at you in bewilderment. “What are you doing?! That thing needs to be VANQUISHED!! That there shapeshifting- sea beast!—“
”Nooo, he needs love.” You protested, squishing it against your face with exaggeratedly pleading eyes. “Look at him, isn’t he sweet?”
“Sweet?” Jacques barked out a hearty laugh. “Now I know that’s a shapeshifting beast, I, Captain Jacques Pierrot, am not SWEET. I am a fearsome, conquering PIRATE, and—“
You booped the plushie against his cheek.
“Yes, yes, very fearsome. And handsome.”
You muttered, giving him a grin. Jacques’s face instantly flushed a deep rose color, and he spluttered a bit before he forced the words out.
“I-“
“Yes, look at those terrifying faces…I’m practically shaking.”
Jacques paused, his mouth suddenly drawing up in a smirk, sheathing his sword carefully.
“Oh? Really?” He asked, face still red but with a more confident look, even at his short stature.
“Mhm…” you responded, lowering the plushie with a matching coy expression. “As you’ve said before…wanna take this to deeper waters?”
“Thought you’d never ask.” He said, glancing back at the plush with a twitch of his lip. “…leave the beast, though.”
“Of course.”
