I really like the idea that Angor Rot, pre-trade of his soul, was a loving troll and a self-sacrificing member of his village. He was willing to trade anything to gain more power, but power he would've used to save his village from Gunmar. If he were still able to feel, would he feel guilt, relief, devastation, depression? The lack of soul, lack of ability to feel, and lack of control over your own life...hell, that'd drive even the most reasonable people over the edge. And this happened for 1,000's of years no less! I don't think he started out as a bad guy; I think he was made into one. I wonder if things could have been different under different circumstances. Like...if they touched on this idea, would Angor Rot have been finally released along with the previously killed TrollHunters. Would there have been a sense of sympathy and 'finally' for this villain from us as an audience? I'd like to think he's chilling with the rest of his dead tribe now. All together in the afterlife. He tried to do something selfless and it blew up in his face. He's suffered enough; so I just hope he's somewhere, crying with relief over everything being over .

All my trolls are dead

You know whose deaths pissed me off the most? Nepeta and Equius. But I'll get to that in a second. First, let me explain why the other trolls deaths weren't as severely agonizing as these two. Aradia: Aradia was dead when we first met her, which helped to soften the blow of her being dead. I mean ye, it's fucked up Vriska used her boyfriend to kill her, but that fact was lessened by her becoming god tier and staying as far from the action as possible. There isn't much possibility of Aradia having a soul crushing death anytime soon due to god tier. Tavros: Although Tavros' death upset me, I honestly can't feel bad about it. I mean, he tried to face Vriska. This was the troll that had put him into his wheelchair in the first place. She knew exactly how to exploit his every weakness because she had been doing it forever. Not to mention, he had the chance to kill her before, although I guess technically he would've only helped her be reborn. You don't get to chicken out of these things when you have the chance and then come back to it later and expect to succeed. Sollux: Sollux is the one troll whose death makes me wish that he'd either completely died or never been killed. I mean, first, he does before he even enters the medium. Right off the back, killed be the Vast Glub. Then he gets to parade around as Derse Sollux. Then when Bec Noir enters the A2 session, he kills Prospit Sollux. So now, Sollux has died twice, but he's still alive. Then, Sollux goes and fucks up by powering the meteor that the trolls are hiding on towards the Green Sun and killing himself due to over exertion. So, by now Sollux should be dead now, right? Wrong. His "half-dead" self that was only half-dead because the Derse Sollux was still alive traveled with Aradia to the Green Sun. So, then he sends the trolls to the new session with his dead body while he goes treasure hunting with Vriska. So then Gamzee arrives in the B2 session with his dead body and prototypes Erisolsprite, which sucks the dead out of Sollux and leaves a sprite Sollux and a fully living Sollux. Seriously, this kid has died at least three times and he's still alive. Karkat: Honestly, Karkat's death was pretty fucked up. Jane and Jade killed him just to prove he could be revived, which wasted his one revive. So now, Karkat is the most vulnerable troll because he can't ascend and he can't be rerevived. Kanaya: Kanaya's death upset me at first because, come on, she was just trying to save her race when fucking Eridan comes and kills her with the "science stick" that she made him. Who wouldn't be upset about that? But then Kanaya reveals herself to be from a line of rainbow drinkers in which she had to "die" to realize her potential. So now she runs around undead without the knowledge of whether being brought back to life could kill her or not. Vriska: Vriska's death was honestly like #4 on my list of should not have happened. Sure, Vriska was bitchy at times but it was because that's all she knew, sorta. She grew up with a lusus that taught her "kill for me or I'll kill you". You try growing up like that and coming out completely nice. But, first, Aradia comes out of nowhere with like a sweeps old grudge and beats the shit out of Vriska. Then, as she's laying on her death bed, ready to ascend, her tortured Pupa that she just wanted to finally make strong refuses to kill her and leaves her to bleed out. Then, when we see how it would've turned out if she went to fight Noir, she almost wins. She might've even ended it right there because there's no saying that Terezi's vision was completely accurate. On top of that, in the girls final showdown, Terezi only wanted to face her due to an old rivalry. Vriska didn't even necessarily have to die. Eridan: Fucking Eridan. This lil bitch deserved to die. I don't care that he was the Shitlord of Hope and that he could see there was no hope left. Sollux saw that they were doomed but he stilled helped a little. And then he goes on this mad killing spree because Feferi rejected him, not to mention the fact that the only reason Karkat survived this was probably Eridan's unrequited love for him. So, yeah, when Kanaya sliced this little douchenozzle in half, I'll admit I kinda cheered. Feferi: Sweet, sweet Fefeta, I mean Feferi. Her death ranked third in terms of tragic. She was a nice troll, completely unlike the others, paled only by Nepeta. She had finally found a. It she liked that wasn't emotionally exhausting and she was killed for it. Not to mention she came back as Fefetasprite and was again destroyed by her past relationships. Ok, now Equius and Nepeta. These two were gut wrenching when you saw what happened. Equius had ran off to protect Nepeta, his soulmate. And due to his submission to authority and kink for being controlled, he was killed by Gamzee who he could've easily defeated. Then in an act of vengeance, Nepeta sprang to kill her friends killer only to be pummeled to death by an enraged clown with nothing to do but kill his friends. Then Nepeta and Equius came back as Fefeta and ARquius but Equius caused half of Fefeta's previously mentioned explosion. In all the haste to save each other, they became each other's greatest downfall. And for that they are the most agonizing hopesloding deaths of all.
