XAVIER UNIVERSITY OF HIGHER LEARNING AU

Otherwise simply called: The College Au

This world follows similar rules to X-Men Evolution in that everyone I want to be a teacher and far older adult is and everyone I want to be a student is. It's a kinda vibe check.

World Concept: Moira manages to convince Charles that child soldiers would in fact be messed up and so rather than form the X-Men, Charles uses his old money wealth to open a college with a focus on giving generous scholarships to mutants to help them get a leg up in a world that will rarely be fair to them. He and Magneto are allied in this as Erik does see it as a way to maintain mutant safety and form a bit of a haven. While students are still required to take classes to learn control over their abilities, this is far less of a focus. Non mutants do attend the school but to a far lesser degree and usually have to pay full price. Student housing is on site and lodgings vary between typical dorm rooms, whole apartments, and frat houses. Despite living only a little off-site himself, Charles still requires his adopted sons Scott and Logan to stay at the dorms during the school year. All faculty either live onsite during the school year or nearby (though some teleport in as their commute). The school has a very strict anti violence policy and depending on the severity of your actions it can result in full expulsion from the university. (Certain mutant students however, who are deemed "psychologically unreliable", are exempt from this and are closely monitored/required to have frequent psychiatric check ins). Depending on the extent of the mutant's powers, they may be required to wear dampeners during classes to prevent cheating or harassment of other students (something Magneto heavily disagrees with) with some students who are consistently afraid of themselves choosing to wear it full time (ie: Anna Marie).

Main Faculty consists of: Charles, Erik, Raven, Moira, Forge, Hank, Nathan, Sage, and others im sure I'm forgetting.

Main Au Plotline: Mystique has recently gotten in touch with Kurt after years of searching for him and has taken him in to live with her in England after he is accused of "murdering" his adopted brother in Germany. He's given a full ride to the university but still finds himself to be an outcast to all accept Charles's oldest adopted son Logan who he spends most of his summer leading into the school year with. Unfortunately, Logan regularly disappears and is far more focused on Scott's girlfriend Jean and after Warren starts spreading rumors about Kurt being a murderer, Kurt finds himself feeling very much alone. Until Wade Wilson falls about forty feet in front of him trying to climb through a window.

Wade Wilson is one of those "special case" scholarships, meaning after the professor helped rescue him from a shitty military juvie where they were running experiments on him, good ol Chuck felt too bad to release him back into the real world. Besides, if he lives on campus it means they get full access to experim-sorry-"research" what was being done to him and how a 20 year old suddenly presented with mutant abilities he never had before. Outcast to most, save for his roommate Jack and the brotherhood, Wade is an extremely lonely socially awkward guy whose world shatters when his short-lived girlfriend Siryn breaks up with him for being too clingy and self destructive. He and Kurt's paths cross when he falls and mangles himself in front of him in a poorly executed attempt at breaking into the art department to try and seduce Siryn's dad, the drama head, in a half-baked plan to get back at her. (It wasn't a well thought out plan but it was made in the heat of passion and his.)

The two become friends and Kurt is brought into Wade's odd world of misfits and delinquency all the while becoming more and more suspicious of their future histories professor Nathaniel Summers (no relation to Scott Summers don't look into it) and his odd fixation on Wade.

Also yes this is an insane pairing, no it doesn't make sense to anyone but me. It started because my boyfriend and I were discussing a world where Kurt and Wade started hanging out after Wade got dumped by Spiderman and Logan and Kurt were on a break.

Wade doesn't judge Kurt for his looks and helps him self destruct and Kurt believes Wade can be a good person.

Eventually it becomes a Wade/Kurt/Logan polycule but Logan has shit to figure out with Jean first.
