Let Us Fall for You, Allah
Let us fall for You, Allah— not in a shallow glance or weekend prayer, but in the ache behind our sighs and the silence between our sobs. Let us fall for You like tired hearts fall into sujood— not because we’ve given up on the world, but because we finally remember where we belong. We’ve chased faces that faded, held hands that let go, dreamed of voices that never stayed. But You, O Allah, never walked away. Let us fall for You the way the stars fall into night, quiet, constant, never noticed, but always in orbit of Your mercy. Let us long for death— not with despair, but with the joy of reunion, like a traveler finally heading home. Let us fall for You, not once, but again and again, until our hearts beat not for love stories, but for Your Book, not for someone’s name, but for the sound of “Ya ‘Ibadi” when You call us near. We are not ashamed of our longing anymore— because You placed it in us. So purify it. Redirect it. Refine it. And write our names among those who don’t just wait for Jannah— but run to it because You are there. Ya Allah… If we are to fall, then let it be into Your arms. And let us fall for You, forever.
