DATE NIGHT

Light

Is pretty open to whatever you want to do. If you ask him to choose, he'll go with the classic dinner at a nice restaurant and maybe go to a museum or something.

He's a very good conversationalist. He loves to learn so he's very easy to talk to; he remembers details.

'Oh, they hate this color, I better pick a different tie.'

If you're doing something fun, he'll have a good time. But he's not a fan of the 'lay around on the couch' kind of dates, they make him feel unproductive.

L

He LOVES the lay around on the couch type of dates. They're a good safe option for him when it's not safe for him to be in public.

When it is safe for him to be in public he's completely shameless. All of his habits and quirks are out on display for the whole world to see and he does not care if he gets judged for it.

So if you can't handle the secondhand embarrassment of your boyfriend having his bare feet out for free, you're going to have a bad time.

If you do go out, he likes quieter, more private dates. A library, a park, places that aren't too crowded or chaotic.

Cafes and bakeries are always a win for obvious reasons.

Misa

She really goes all out. You have to schedule your dates with her, because they can be like 6 hours long.

She's a big fan of classic romantic dates. The 'dinner and a move' kind of thing.

I think she would absolutely love to take you to a masquerade. A chance to experiment with fashion and dance with you all night? She'd be all over it.

She would also like shopping dates. She loves to pick out clothes she thinks would look good on you and will let you pick out things for her too.

Takes lots of cute pictures through the night and displays her favorites in her room.

Mello *NSFW mentioned*

He’ll only go on dates with you on his off time- work always comes first. He has to beat Near by any means necessary, that means his love life comes second to that. In another world where everything was resolved neatly, he would likely be more willing to engage in romance.

Mello loves an adrenaline rush. His favorite dates are always a little risky and you always end up sweaty and out of breath (in a good way.) 

I imagine he would like taking you out for drinks and going dancing- probably to raves rather than nightclubs. 

The dark is a nice excuse to hold your hand- so you don’t get separated of course. 

When you’re so exhausted and dizzy you can’t see straight, he’ll call you both a cab and you’ll do everything short of have sex in the back of it.

The real fun starts when you both get upstairs ;)

Matt

Matt loves relaxed stay-at-home dates. You hop on multiplayer on a really relaxing game like stardew valley or minecraft and just lay in a snuggly pile of blankets together. 

I think he would also like dates where you make something together- trying a new recipe, or making an art project. It might not turn out great - he doesn’t have a sophisticated palette or a lot of artistic skill, but he would have a lot of fun.

He doesn’t mind going out once in a while, but he doesn’t like dressing up. He hates wearing ties. He’ll do it occasionally for your sake, but it’s not his favorite.

Near

He doesn’t really do specifically set out *dates*. You both just… end up in each others company.

It’s never a case of ‘Let’s set aside this Saturday at 7 for a date night.’ Usually, you just end up in his room while he’s working, you distract him, and you two end up spending the next six hours talking.

I imagine he would like that type of date, where you sit and have a really, really good conversation for hours and hours.

Especially since you’re one of the only people in the world who can really keep up with him.

He might bring out something for you two to work on together, some of his toys, puzzles, models, etc.

He likes meticulous, detail oriented work. Introduce him to knitting/crochet and you two can sit and knit together for hours. (embroidery would also work for this.)

Matsuda

Silly goofy guy.

He likes new experiences, he’s willing to try just about anything once. So if you have a really wild date idea, he’s probably down with it.

If he’s the one to come up with the date, he tries to put some thought into it and make it personal to you. But he has trouble coming up with new ideas so he tends to stick to what he knows - you two have a dedicated date night restaurant you both like.

I have no idea why, but I imagine he would love live theater? Like specifically musicals. Take him to see Hairspray, he’ll have the time of his life.

If you are not too overwhelmed, could you do a preference on how L, Light, Near, Matsuda, and Mello would react/ fight to get back an S/O who was kidnapped? If this is alright? I apologise I am not sure how to request these....

L: Oh. Oh man, he is. Not. Happy. He is calm when he hears the news… He’s too calm. He is the quiet before the storm, he is the roiling waves before the tide goes up, he is the electricty in the air before lightning strikes. He is logical, he is cold, he is untouchable. He will go above and beyond what he usually does and he will almost certainly break the law - seeing himself as above it in this moment - to get you back. He will not stop until you are in his arms, safe, where he wants you. He will do anything to get you back and he doesn’t care what he has to do to make that happen. And when he gets you back, let’s just say there isn’t enough left of the kidnappers for there to be a positive identification without having to use something like dental records, and there’ll be no trace back to him.

Light: Light is angry. He is… If anyone speaks to him or even touches him, he’s gonna snap. He’s walking a very thin line and he will go ballistic if anyone tries to stop him from getting you back. He sends Ryuk out to track you and give him a full report. He gets updates from his dad about what’s happening and when. There is nothing he wouldn’t do and he’s essentially a caged animal, snapping at anyone who gets too close, physically or otherwise. He is downright scary but he races down to you when they find you, alive and unharmed. He holds you tight, his heart pounding in his chest. He gets you home, looks after you, and then opens his Death Note. He gives them such an awful death that you almost, almost, feel sorry for them. But as far as the rest of the world is concerned - they disappeared off the face of the Earth.

Near: Near may have opened up and became co-dependent on you but ohmygoodness when you get kidnapped, he shrinks back into himself and sees the whole thing as a puzzle piece to solve. You are the centre of the puzzle piece just like you’re the centre of his world. He is in complete Work Mode and his heart pounds a tattoo against his ribcage as the hours crawl by and you’re still not home. He tracks the whole thing by hacking into CCTV cameras and sends people to get you, waiting at HQ for you. The perpetrators would get the maximum sentence for kidnapping, which in Japan is ten years if the source I looked at can be believed. He’d be hard pressed to let you out of his sight after that, for sure.

Matsuda: Is distraught. He can’t think, he can’t breathe, he can only feel worry, upset, anger, love for you. Soon enough his worry overrides his anger and his love overrides his anger and in the end he finds himself with the courage to do what needs to be done. The others tell him to think about the case but you are the case and that makes it all the most distressing. You are and have always been and will always be his number one priority and he would rather die than do you an injustice by letting the criminals get away with it. He would push, and push and push with Chief Yagami for them to get the maximum sentence and once that’s done, all he can focus on is you and making sure you know just how much he loved and missed you.

Mello: He’s so angry he can barely see. His fists are clenched and unclenched, leaving little crescents in the soft flesh of his palm, he’s shaking and practically foaming at the mouth. He is poised to strike, to attack, he is ready to explode. He is so angry but that only fuels him. He will not stop until you are back with him. He will pay them whatever they demand he pays, he will do almost anything to get you back because nothing is worth more to him than you are and this includes his own life. He would die to guarantee your safety but when you’re back with him and shaken but safe, he swears there and then he protect you even more than he already does.

Cuddling (Death Note Preference)

A/N: Sorry that I didn’t add gifs for this one, I couldn’t find fitting ones for them all! Hope you still enjoy the preference! :3

L: Not that L is too fond of physical contact or PDA, but he does enjoy having you close as long as you don’t overdo it and you let him work. So while he’s sitting down reading his papers and working on a case (which is almost always) he secretle enjoys when you sit next to him and snuggle closer. Sometimes he’s too focused to even notice your presence, but other times he softly smiles at you in appreciation as you rest your head on his shoulder or link your arm with his.

Light: He likes to have an arm around your shoulders to feel your presence next to him. It’s casual and sweet and it also gives you the opportunity to rest your head on his shoulder or nuzzle your nose on his neck.

Near: Pretty much like L, he lets you rest your head on his shoulder or snuggle closer to him and that would be pretty much it. But Near does reciprocate by maybe resting his head atop of yours or putting his hand over your knee or your hand.

Matt: Mostly, his arm is around your waist, he just loves to keep it here to have you close to him. Whether you’re sitting or lying down, his arm automatically wraps around your frame like it’s an instinct at this point. He’s so used to it that as soon as you sit down next to him he doesn’t even look as his arm moves on its own.

Mello: Lazily sitting down or lying down, you’d be snuggled next to the other and hugging, keeping your arms around the other and having your body resting against one another. You just like to be hugging somehow, facing each other and being very very close.

Light and L dealing with an s/o who has anxiety & depression? Love ur blog btw

Light wouldn’t be all that great at dating someone with anxiety and/or depression. He would get impatient a lot of the time and would outwardly roll his eyes at you in his worst moods. In his best moods, which aren’t much different from how he is anyway, he would be impatient but would do his best to suppress that, choosing instead to hold you and tell you that it’s stupid to worry because everything will turn out fine. I think, largely, he’d distract you and try to keep your mind away from the thoughts threatening to drown you. All I can say is that, if you’re wanting a sympathetic and patient boyfriend, Light isn’t the man for you. 

L would be a little bit better at dating someone with anxiety and/or depression, but not by much. I think he’d be more understanding than Light and would be a bit more willing to use patience with you. He’d often comfort you by offering you some of his treats, giving you a blank stare. If you’re alone, he’d wrap a loose arm around your shoulders, his fingers finding your pulse point delicately. If it’s accelerated, he’d then turn and hug you, murmuring instrctions to breathe with him and to relax because by god, you’re his s/o and it’ll all be all right.

Ooh, a multi-fandom request! I sadly haven’t written much for Game Of Thrones, so this is great.

Death Note

L: 

- Isn’t all that bothered by it, tbh. He trusts you and that’s that. If you wanted to make him jealous, he wouldn’t appreciate it and would make himself known.

- Like Mello, he’d let you handle it on your own, and only when he thinks you can’t will he swoop in, kissing your cheek and looping an arm around your waist, leading you away from the person.

- He seems chill either way but actually he’s angry... maybe he’ll show you just how much he loves you... ;)Mello:

- Mello has quite the inferiority complex so he might start thinking that he’s not good enough for you and that you deserve someone better, etc.

- He’d not blame you for it unless it was obvious that your objective was to make him jealous, in which case he’s angry.

- He’d want you to handle the situation on your own and tell the person where to go, but if he thinks you can’t, he’d handle it for you - some threats and some rather obvious PDA to ‘stake a claim’, and it’s all good. He might be clingy for a little while after that, too.

Black Butler

Alois Trancy:

- He’d want to know who the person is, where they live etc. and he’d go pay them a visit and would either torture them or would kill them. 

- You probably wouldn’t get away quite so lightly either, and he’d want reassurance that you love him and only him - there’s no room in your life for anyone else.

- A jealous Alois is not pretty; you don’t even have to do anything for him to get jealous, and neither does anyone else. Someone just has to look at you and he’s immediately asking questions and making threats.

Game Of Thrones

Joffrey:

 - Oh. Well... if Joffrey is jealous because someone else is talking to you, then that person will be publicly executed and their head put on a spike to serve as a lesson to others. 

- You would also be punished, even if you did nothing wrong. He’d call you all sorts of derogatory terms such as slut, whore, etc. etc.

- He’s just blind in his anger and lashes out even if there’s nothing whatsoever to be jealous of.

Hello! I have a Death Note request, if it isn't too much trouble? I was wondering about the Wammy Boys (L/Near/Mello/Matt) reacting to finding out that Kira killed their S/O? Thank you for doing this if you can, I hope you have a great day!!! <3

L: Unless you really know L, you wouldn’t think that he reacted to the news of his s/o’s death at all. To those who do know him, however, he’s completely heartbroken. He’d completely retreat into himself and wouldn’t talk to anyone for several hours, his face unreadable but his onyx eyes swimming in sadness. He’d swear to bring Kira to justice and would work harder than ever before. L’d never really move on from his s/o’s death.

Near: Near is rather co-dependent so when he hears of his s/o’s death he probably wouldn’t know how to react at first, feeling too many things for him to be able to identify a set emotion. He would become more determined than ever to catch Kira and would push himself to the  absolute limits, and might use even more underhanded methods to catch his s/o’s killer.

Mello: Oh, he’s pissed. Before, he was determined to catch Kira because he wanted to bypass Near, but now? Oh, now it’s personal. He is so fucking angry and he will catch Kira, bringing his s/o’s killer to justice.

Matt: He’d be so so saddened and would definitely retreat into himself and his games even more. If he’s not gaming, he’s working. Sometimes, he goes days without adequate food or sleep because he’s working so hard trying to catch Kira, doing what he can with what he has to catch his s/o’s killer. He just wants justice for his s/o, that’s all that matters.
