Not everything is terrible and isnāt that nice to know? In a year of trials and tribulations in a constantly tumultuous society, you found growth. Youāve expanded your ideas. Further defined your morals. You have found techniques to help you find mindfulness and healing. The cards are pretty darn proud of you.
But that doesnāt mean you are without wants and desires. There is an inner storm of thoughts and anxieties that, even when eased, doesnāt go away. You want it to calm for longer. For more often. And, beyond that, thereās some things that feel like theyāre missing. Old passions, being charmed with life, spontaneity. You want to seek those out again, but where to start? Sometimes we drop bits of the self to work on preservation and survival, but how do you gain those things back after the surviving?
ACE OF SWORDS:
We donāt talk enough about the fatigue of survival. Thereās often an association of triumph, success, and of completion with the idea of āsurvivedā; sometimes people donāt realize that you have to survive again and again and again. It can wear you down to the point that even if you do have a burst of energy you donāt know what to do with it. It can make it hard to rejoice in your successes, or to fight for your own ideas.Ā
Iām sorry I donāt have better advice than this; but do it anyway. It can be so tiring, but allow yourself permission to have an after to surviving. Celebrate! Revel! Even if it was just for a year, a week, a day--you did it. You survived. Youāre surviving. Donāt devalue that, donāt think to yourself āI could have done betterā, because if you do youāll just imprison yourself in that storm of anxiety. Itāll make finding peace and passion so much harder. So give yourself understanding. Look at what you had stacked against you and know that whatever ācould have done betterā means, it doesnāt apply here.
