Uploaded the first two chapters of my Fight Club/Lost Boys crossover fic... I have exams coming up so don't know when next updates will be but I started really enjoying writing this so presume there will be more. There's about 40 mins of reading rn. I had a few people read it over but they didn't give me any feedback on quality etc so if there's funky tensing lmk so maybe I can try and fix it 👍 just wanted these two uploaded for now.

Deep Joy

The old was now gone. It had been patched up many times And was fast becoming a memory Of past mistakes and failures, Amidst joys and successes.

Much had been learned and let go of To make room for the new. And now it was here, A new beginning with a clean slate, What would be written? Bright hope for the future?

Promises of new tomorrows Shining in the distance, Becoming ever clearer on the horizon. And as it became apparent in the morning light New aspirations and opportunities appeared, Goals growing ever stronger were ready to take hold of. Hearts and minds were opening To a new day that was dawning, Bringing new life and understanding.

The mysteries of life beginning to be seen The quest for truth giving it’s rewards That would replace despair and hopelessness, Finding the way by faith to the loving creator. Where else to turn? A happy new year going deeper Until God himself took my hand And brought me to the deep joy that would last forever.

I would like to share that a middle-aged lady in Starbucks this morning vocally expressed joy at how beautiful the cream filtering into coffee was. She moved around the pickup counter to look at different drinks from various angles. Nothing else. Just joy at a beautiful ordinary thing

If there is one thing I can rely on Max to do it’s to sit loudly pointing out all of the historical inaccuracies while we watch Vikings Valhalla together, so that I can hear none of the dialogue.
