Hi there, I just wanted to say that it’s completely okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes - fandom can be an emotional overload. I’m sorry you’ve been having a rough week :( If you need to take a break from tumblr - go for it! I take Tumblr breaks all the time because sometimes the sheer intensity of fandom exhausts me. Take care of yourself first, then worry about what other people think. You are your first priority. (Sorry if I’m overstepping by responding to this!!!)

thank you both, it really does mean a lot. I think a big part is I just haven’t been sleeping well.

After getting your reply I thought maybe I could try a tumblr break. I did some writing which I think did help.....but then I immediately came back here. as annoying as it can be sometimes, tumblr is my comfort-place, in a weird way. Sometimes, anyway. Most of my friends out there live far away from me, and even the ones who live close by, it is sometimes easier to interact with online. I truly am a hermit, which is probably not helping my mental health either, but i’m trapped in a little bit of a catch 22 where no social interaction-->makes me feel lonely--> makes me feel tired-->makes me not have energy to see people lather rinse repeat.

*sigh* It’s like 7 am and I’ve been up for two hours despite not getting to sleep until past midnight. This whole voltron thing was probably more of a trigger than an actual problem. but still, thank you for reaching out, and you’re definitely not overstepping any bounds. I may try and sleep for another hour or two, we’ll see how that goes.
