I’ve been wondering something for a few days, and I figured I might find some answers here. This is a rather niche question, so any sort of help is appreciated.

Sometimes when I’m out and about, I find bits of metal that have somewhat rusted. An abandoned screw, a random piece of metal, that sort of thing. A few times I’ve gotten this urge of sorts to put what I’ve found on my altar. It’s never happened with anything else I’ve found, just the random bits of rusted metal.

Recently I’ve begun studying Fenrir, and asking to work with him- but I can’t tell if the metal is for Fenrir or for a different deity. My current altar setup is essentially “This is for Fenrir, but I’m also open to whoever else wants to join me”- for lack of a better term.

I was thinking maybe possibly Ares for some reason, but I’m not 100% certain as I haven’t seen mention about offering metal. Is there any way for me to ask who is reaching out? Or does anyone know of a deity that asks for rusted metal?

In need of help and advice!

Okay, so I’ve been trying to get in contact and work with gods, specifically Dionysus. Recently, I’ve been noticing a lot of signs, but I’m not sure if he’s actually trying to contact me or not.

Basically I’ve been seeing a lot more wine as of recent, my parents usually don’t drink on a daily basis, yet they’ve been drinking wine pretty much anytime I have dinner with them. I also noticed some sort of store-bought wine concoction in the fridge this morning and wine glasses everywhere. Last night, I had a dream where I went to Greek ruins with a bunch of other people.

Although this is freaking me out, I’m not sure if it’s a sign. Of course I’ll still look out for signs but I’m not sure if he’s already began to try and make contact.

I woke up with those words in my head. I looked it up and came across Hina but those words were never used to describe her.

Hello! I know this may be sort of an odd question, but is there any way for us to comfort the gods? I'm extremely close with Apollo and Hermes, and lately, their candles/tarot readings with them have all been very negative, like for instance, my Hermes candle has been spitting out thick black smoke, which is something it's never done in the months I've had it. I know Apollo is obviously going through the ringer right now because of the pandemic, - (1/2) 💛💙

(2/2) and I hadn't thought about this until earlier, but with Hermes being a psychopomp, he's seeing the worst of the effects of this virus. Given how seriously he takes that role, I'm sure that must have his spirits down, along with his duties with communication/travel during all the chaos. I guess I just... I want to help them. I know I'm only a small human, but I wish I could give them some sort of comfort. Is that even possible, or is that not an area we can tread as humans/worshippers? 💛💙

Well this has to be one of the sweetest questions I’ve ever received! I literally felt an “AWE!” coming from Aphrodite as I read this! It’s so incredibly kind of you to want to give the gods some comfort. Honestly I think the sentiment is enough to deliver what it is you want to them, which means anything you do will be appreciated and likely comforting. 

Do i think it’s possible for a mortal to comfort a god? Of course. I think we do it more than we realize or care to admit because it might feel wrong or even hubristic to believe we can influence the gods like that. But I think it’s silly to think we don’t give the gods some kind of positive feelings or energy. I believe that’s one of the reasons they hang around and form relationships with us. We make them feel good. 

As for how one might purposefully comfort a god. I think it’s similar to how you would comfort a mortal. Talk to them, do something nice for them, make/get them their favorite food or snack, give them a thoughtful gift, spend the day with them, make them something, etc. Like i said i think as long as you hold the sentiment in your heart that you wish to bring them comfort whatever you choose will absolutely mean a lot to them.

Is it considered deity work if I give them offerings but ask for nothing in return? Hades has always been there for me guiding me, and so I recently began giving him trikets and such I feel he'd like, but I'm not out to get anything, to ask any favors, anything like that. It'sbpretty much like having a Hades Appreciation Hour. Just showering him with good thoughts, kind words, and shiny things when I can afford to energy and time wise (and money wise in the case of trinkets.)

I have ended my deity work journey here.

This is not to say I won‘t return, but for a variety of reasons, I have ended things, all on good terms.

Has anyone else gone through this before? I need some support.

Aphrodite help

hey everyone! for the last month or two i have been feeling very connected with Aphrodite, so today I did a small introduction ritual to her with the intent to fget to know her and maybe one day become a devotee. My alter was decked out with red, pink, white and light blue candles, dried flowers, rose incense, sea shells, an apple, a coin and a lipgloss. It was going perfect until the end when i began to say goodbye, my nose started gushing blood intensely out of nowhere. I used her epithet Ourania Aphrodite when referring to her. Had i done something wrong, or is this a good sign? I’ve never had this happen before

I have a very large amount of deities and I do not know why! I don't have any issues with them, but I want to know why there are so many!

I have done a few tarot readings asking why, but they always come out confusing..

If anyone has a theory, please let me know :D
