It's clearer than ever, from the DNC's reaction to Zohran Mamdani, that the Democratic Party isn't trying to win elections. They threw their entire lot in behind sex pest Andrew Cuomo, because he doesn't threaten the status quo. This is the same DNC who forced out David Hogg, because he wanted to primary the very politicians who rallied around Cuomo; he wanted to primary Dems who voted to priase ICE and their ongoing and illegal detention and deportation operation; he wanted to primary Dems who've done sweet fuck all as the country slides into authoritarianism.
The DNC is on the side of its billionaire donors, hence it's horror at the people choosing a politician offering a progressive and socialist agenda. Change is coming and you better believe that the DNC will fight it every step of the way.

The "At Last She Said It" podcast is co-hosted by two women who talk about the LDS Church, the things that frustrate them about it, things which can be improved, also things which work for them and ways they've grown individually. Sometimes they have female guests on and the most recent episode has the incredible Kajsa Berlin-Kaufusi who drops a lot of mind-expanding truths.
At the end of each episode they'll play a few comments that people have sent, usually these are from women but once-in-a-while they'll include a man's comment.
I met one of the co-hosts, Cynthia Winward, in June while I was at the Gather Conference in Provo. I shared a story with her that related to another person's comment that had been included on their podcast. We laughed and she encouraged me to send it in as a voicemail. My voicemail was included on the podcast episode which dropped today.
This episode included a voicemail by a 16-year-old named Ainsley and it is sooooo powerful!!!! I fully recommend opening this podcast and going right to the end to hear this voicemail (go to the 59:02 minute mark). She was being set apart in a young women class presidency and asked the bishop to use "Heavenly Parents" instead of "Heavenly Father," and he refused. Afterwards her parents and the bishop discussed and found he could have referenced "Heavenly Parents" during the blessing.
Ward boundaries changed and Ainsley was called to be class president. She was willing to accept the calling as long as her 3 conditions are agreed to: 1) use "Heavenly Parents" in the blessing when she gets set apart, 2) she is allowed to step down from this calling at any moment, 3) they get a lesson or activity on Heavenly Mother. The bishop agreed to these terms.
