(copy pasting this from twitter) been thinking a lot about demisexual luffy and how ppl don't really do anything with that. i mostly see that tag under smut oneshots, it kind of sound like "i acknowledge he's often hc as ace and i like the hc but i need him to fuck and Want here" and the most we get about that is a single "i've never felt like this, not for anyone, Only You." and that's it!!
do y'all not know what you could do with that hc? do you not realize the potential? i don't think you fully thought out the "never felt like this" part, imagine him spending his entire life hearing about feelings he's told he should have but don't, about experiences he's cut out from, the alienation. it's luffy though so he'd shrug it off, this isn't anything he gives a shit about but then the feelings find him.
and it's /luffy/ so of course the feelings finds him like a truck does a roadkill. he has no frame or reference, no experience, no clue on how to cope with those. he'd be a Mess. you could have him a starved man feeling hunger for the first time, have fun with it damnit!!
i know this is coming from the I Love Fear Exploration Guy but pls consider writing attraction like it's a scary thing, have him freak out about how overwhelming and alien it all is to him!! let him be consumed by it, i don't know!! he wouldn't feel bad about it but it /is/ new!
but this isn't just about attraction, you can literally chose whether or not he'd even ever experienced having a libido before that and idem if it's all new to him. you could even have him Not have a libido but an attraction that is much more vague yet still so so much!!
like i don't care about sex as an act, i want to know how the characters feels about the everything about & around it! there's so much potential with demi luffy (and just asexual sex in general also) do more with it! if you're allo it could be a fun opportunity to look back on your own first few experiences with attraction and go crazy with it, luffy's a go big or go home guy, c'mon!!
