After you write demontown as an original fiction, would you publish it? would you post it in Ao3 still? Coz I'd be reading it anyways. I hope you do.

If I write Demontown as original fiction, it will definitely be with a view to publishing it. Unfortunately, placing fiction that you want published online can be a tricky endeavour, because traditional publishers tend to generally avoid publishing something that's been online first. There are always exceptions, but as I've not had a novel published before, I'm not sure they'd make an exception for me!

I'd love to put that sort of thing up on AO3 though, and they do have an original fiction section. I'm not sure when I'll get to Demontown, but yeah, maybe! If there's any interest, perhaps. :)

when ISWF ends are you going to begin working on that one demon town story or are you going to stick with only game theory for a little while??

Demontown is on indefinite pause, and when I go back to it, it'll likely be as an original fiction concept and not a fanfiction concept, with original characters. My apologies!

After ISWF, I'll be working on Game Theory, and I'll probably be working on a side Game Theory 'verse story (just some Gwyn back story), and some original fiction. I'll be on a RotG hiatus. I need a break from the boys. :) I am really, really loving giving them closure right now (and you'll see a lot of that in this upcoming chapter), since they deserve it. I almost feel like Jack and Pitch just need some quiet time to enjoy each other for a while, after ISWF. They need the mean angst author to leave them alone!

You mean a third installment of the Shadows and Light series?

Not really, no. I’ve thought about doing an extended epilogue, but a lot of the things I was going to put in that I’m able to put into ISWF, which is why the series is going to be longer now. So I’m still in two minds about that.

Game Theory follows on canonically from ISWF, but as it doesn’t feature any cameos or scenes with the Guardians, it’s not really a third installment. It’s not an immediate member of the family. It’s more like a politically devastating Uncle or distant cousin or something.

I did think about a third installment for a while, but in the end I decided against it, because of two reasons I guess. The first is that I really like where I’m going to be wrapping up the story. I’m happy with the happy ending I have planned, and I think it’s going to give people a lot of closure; which is quite different for me, normally I only give a sort of ambiguous hope, but this will be quite a clearly happy ending. The other reason is that I’m really excited to explore other worlds, not only Game Theory, but also Demontown and the as-yet-untitled-Highschool-AU.

So I don’t want to leave the Shadows and Light series behind, and I suppose in a way I’ll always have the option of an extended epilogue, as well as writing out more Pitch Perspective scenes, but - Into Shadows We Fall is the final installment in the series of plotted novels. :)

So a fanfic writer says that there'll be a steampunk fic with a demon Tooth in it. Honestly, the only things I know about steampunk are corsets and clicky windy bits, but hey I think a sari bustle dress would look nice.

I know you've said that you don't want to think about the High School AU or Demontown right now concerning other projects that are currently being worked on, but I was wondering if you have any idea what the pairings would be in those stories, if any?

The main pairings are as follows:

Highschool AU - Jack/Pitch / Augus/Gwyn. It’d likely have multiple or two viewpoints, to switch between pairings. Probably Jack’s and Gwyn’s or Augus’, but I haven’t decided yet.

Demontown - Jack/Pitch, of course! :D
