Jaune: So...
Blake: So...
Jaune: Wasn't aware you liked snow this much.
Blake: Okay, first of, I feel like something's gotten twisted here. Second, I'm from Menagerie, we don't do well with the cold.
Jaune: Don't know what you're implying with the first, but I know you're being deliberately obtuse with the second.
Blake: ...
Jaune: ...
Blake: Weiss and Winter are doing fine, thank you very much.
Jaune: Was that really so hard to say?
Blake: Yes.
Jaune: Right, right... so now you're finally gonna spill the beans on how you got the snow angel and archangel both.
Blake: What? Why?!
Jaune: Dunno, feels like karmic retribution or something.
Blake: ...
Jaune: Just start talking. Which sister did you snag first and how.
Blake: Uuuugh, fine. So it was actually a bit of a close thing, but it was Weiss.
Jaune: Huh... that's actually kinda surprising. Considering you two's history.
Blake: Mhmm, true.
Jaune: Do continue.
Blake: So it did take a while to actually formalise our relationship. My... outburst back at Beacon meant things had to be taken a bit slowly.
Jaune: That outburst was rather explosive all things considered.
Blake: Still surprised the docks got repaired so quickly after. Anyway, after that ordeal Weiss and I made a promise. A promise to talk. Really talk whenever we had a moment.
Blake: I'd tell Weiss something about my past. Weiss would reciprocate in kind.
Jaune: Reci-what?
Blake: She'd do the same, telling me something about her own past.
Jaune: Could've just said that.
Blake: Could've just read something other than only comic books.
Jaune: Could've just read something other than smut!
Blake: It's not smut! It's sexuality expressed with artistic flair!
Jaune: That's just smut said with fancier words!
Blake: Anyway! This... balancing, this openness between us, it laid out the groundwork for what would become a romantic relationship. Not that either of us was actually thinking of that as a potential outcome at the time. But until that did happened, it was the bedrock for our friendship.
Jaune: Neat.
Blake: Looking back on it all though, I can point out one stand-out moment that planted the seed of romantic interest.
Jaune: Oooh, now that's an attention grabber.
Blake: It'll be in a death grip when you let me talk uninterrupted.
Jaune: ...
Blake: Good. The event that would plant the seed was a visitation from Winter.
Jaune: Whu... huh?
Blake: Weiss absolutely adores her older sister and would talk about her a lot whenever it was just the two of us. In time I simply happened to find myself curious about Winter.
Blake: Thus, when Winter came to visit, both for official and not-so official reasons, I tagged along with Weiss.
Jaune: Weiss must've enjoyed that.
Blake: Well...
Jaune: Oh boy.
Blake: Yeah... Weiss wasn't all that enthused about me coming along. In part because of what she now knew about my history, the fact Winter came as a representative of Atlas, and the fact that those previous two facts were highly likely to clash violently.
Blake: To our somewhat befuddled surprise, Winter proved to be most accommodating. Turns out Winter had already figured me out, much to Weiss' chagrin, but based on how Weiss had talked about me to Winter, the older Schnee had deemed me a safe person of interest.
Jaune: To be honest, kinda weird how none of us managed to figure out you were hiding those ears in that bow.
Blake: I know, right?!
Jaune: That narrative oddity aside, how did meeting Winter lead to Weiss becoming romantically interested in you?
Blake: Well... jealousy basically.
Jaune: ...
Blake: Okay, thing is. When I first laid eyes on Winter, I might have... not so subtly checked her out right in front of Weiss.
Jaune: Wooooow...
Blake: Oh, come on! Don't tell me you or anyone else had similar wandering eyes when you first saw her?! Didn't you know Winter's magnificent Schneehind is being referred to as the Pride of Atlas?
Jaune: I... can not refute that assumption, and I did not know that, but I can understand how that nickname came to be.
Blake: Suffice to say, Weiss witnessing my eyes being firmly locked onto her older sister's cultured curves had her... a bit miffed.
Blake: That said, I must say that my gazing at Winter was, at the time, purely from an aesthetic viewpoint. Romance or even physical attraction wasn't a factor then. Not until later anyway.
Jaune: Take it you two had some words about that. Or at least Weiss had a few choice ones to throw at you?
Blake: After Winter had left for her official business, yes. During our meeting, Weiss managed to keep mostly a straight face throughout. Although, thinking back on it, I think Winter noticed some stuff right then and there, long before either of us would.
Jaune: Sibling instinct. You wouldn't understand it being an only child and all.
Blake: I'll take your word on that. In any case, Weiss gave me a long-winded lecture about me being a lecherous cat who ogled her sister.
Jaune: Truth hurts.
Blake: Oi!
Jaune: What? We all agree your mind's gutter trash. You even agreed with us on that!
Blake: Yeah, but you don't have to say it like that!
Jaune: Just get on with the story.
Blake: Fine! So with both of us being unaware of any budding romantic interest between us, we'd go about our business. All that... stuff... happened and we found ourselves in Atlas.
Jaune: Oh yeah, sure. Let us just gloss over the horrors we experienced.
Blake: Because they're not pertinent to the story! You asked about how I got my hands on two Schneehinds, not how we had repeated near-death experiences.
Jaune: Noted.
Blake: Anyway. When we got to Atlas, Weiss and I... started to figure things out. Through our continued talks we concluded that the appreciation we had for one another was becoming less and less platonic and was becoming... more than that.
Jaune: Yet not enough to make the switch to an actual romantic relationship.
Blake: Mhmm. Understandable since, you know, stuff was still happening. Not only that, Winter was also there. Which was actually complicating things between Weiss and I.
Jaune: The aesthetic interest wasn't about aesthetics anymore?
Blake: That and then some. Whilst Weiss would meet with Winter whenever they could, I joined in often as well. But not only that, I also started meeting Winter by myself.
Jaune: Well ain't that interesting.
Blake: To put it lightly, yes. I think I had fallen quite hard for Winter by then, not that I was aware of it though.
Blake: So there I was, my romantic interest being split by two incredible women. Both so similar yet so different, and of the same blood to boot as well.
Jaune: ...
Blake: On one hand there was Weiss. The younger sister. The Corpo Heiress who defied her own father, defied fate and is striving to rebuild the image of her tarnished family name.
Blake: And on the other was Winter. The elder sister. The soldier. The black sheep. The one who sought and found meaning in serving rather than ruling, forgoing her family name.
Blake: And then there's myself. Scion of Menagerie's ruling family. Ex-member of an organisation that both sisters opposed in their own way. A Faunus who belatedly sought for a different way to change her people's plight.
Jaune: ...
Blake: Foolishly I made the decision to profess part of my feelings to Winter first. It wasn't even close to a full-on confession, I was just trying- and failing- to properly explain that Winter wasn't the only holding my heart. However, what I managed to read from Winter's expression, I might as well have been confessing my love in full.
Jaune: What was Winter's answer?
Blake: I... didn't stay to hear it.
Jaune: Dude...
Blake: I know...
Jaune: Duuuuude...
Blake: I knooooow!
Jaune: Okay, so you did a runner. Falling back into old habits. Where did you run to?
Blake: I made the equally foolish decision to find Weiss. When we met up after I contacted her, she managed to blindside me.
Jaune: Impressive feat.
Blake: Yeah, well, sort of. It wasn't a literal blindsiding. She... She had actually witnessed me failing my half-confession to Winter.
Jaune: Oooooh...
Blake: Yeah... The talk after was... an ordeal. But not only that, before I could explain myself to Weiss, she confessed her own feelings.
Jaune: Blake, buddy.... You know there are telenovelas that are less dramatic than whatever you've got going on, right?
Blake: Shush. I'm well aware of that.
Jaune: Okay. Just checking.
Blake: Weirdly though, even whilst Weiss' face was streaked with tears, eyes red from irritation, and contorted in the way only ugly crying can, I thought she never looked more beautiful.
Jaune: Good grief.
Blake: Shut it. It was beautiful.
Blake: But that night, we had the longest talk we ever had. We didn't know hours had passed until we noticed the sun was coming up.
Jaune: And I take it that you two were now a couple.
Blake: Yes. We sat in a cafe. Both of us looking like a complete mess whilst we drank our preferred tea and coffee. But we both had the brightest, widest smiles.
Jaune: Uh-huh... very lovely.
Blake: You don't sound so convinced.
Jaune: Uuuh, yeah? Because Winter? Bit hard to overlook that part.
Blake: Ah... yeah... Winter actually found the two of us later that morning at that cafe.
Jaune: Telenovelaaaaaa...
Blake: Zip it, or I'll get needle and thread. Or a stapler.
Jaune: Just continue with the awkwardness of the situation.
Blake: Winter was capable of schooling her expression. But what I judged from Weiss' reaction, Winter was... disappointed, or feeling lost, something along those lines.
Blake: She stayed for a moment. Quietly giving me the answer I had run away from before giving Weiss and I her blessing and well wishes for our new relationship.
Jaune: Painful.
Blake: No shit. Weiss and I sat in silence after Winter left. Eventually I told Weiss to go and find her sister, awkwardness be damned. I had my moments with both of them, now they should have theirs.
Blake: So there I was. A relationship not even a couple of hours old and I was already putting it on hold for what I assumed to be the greater good. Or maybe the lesser evil at the very least.
Jaune: Family bonds like theirs are hard to break, but take effort to maintain too.
Blake: I guess so.
Jaune: So what the hell happened in that intermission that you now got the two most beautiful snowflakes?!
Blake: Remember how I said that Weiss utterly adores her sister?
Jaune: ...
Blake: Take your time.
Jaune: Surely, you can't be serious?!
Blake: Deathly serious, and don't call me Shirley.
Jaune: Weiss. The Princess, the Heiress and the "I know what I want" Weiss, accepted you dating her sister.
Blake: Accepted, suggested and convinced both Winter and I to go on at least one date. And whatever came of it, Weiss would live with it.
Jaune: How good was that date?!
Blake: Yes.
Jaune: Really. Now you're playing coy?!
Blake: Hey, I'm entitled to keep at least a few things private. In any case, Winter, Weiss and I are happy, even if our relationship is... unconventional.
Jaune: Understatement of the century. How'd the introductions with their mother go?
Blake: I nearly fell down the stairs when I first laid eyes on Willow.
Jaune: Oh my fucking gods...
Blake: Dude! You've seen her too. Please don't lie and say you didn't have similar thoughts!!
Jaune: Maybe, maybe not, but come on. You can't be that greedy?
Blake: Well... I'm not!
Jaune: Liar. Weiss told me how you have not so subtly tried to angle for a threesome with her and Winter. I don't need convincing you'd want their mother too.
Blake: Fuck! But can you blame me?!
Jaune: Yes. Yes, I can and I will blame you. So please, for all our sakes, tell me you're not that greedy to try and woo their mother.
Blake: It's not like I could if I wanted to. Not anymore anyway...
Jaune: Explain... Please.
Blake: I got betrayed by my own parents!
Jaune: ...
Blake: ...
Jaune: Seriously?
Blake: Very much so! My mom and dad got to her first when all the stuff was still happening. So now Willow's all happy and shit, because she's loved, supported and fucked silly by them. Bah, humbug...
Jaune: Greedy little shit. That's what you are.
Blake: Hey! That's rich coming from the one who's got Ruby, Yang and Yang's mom! That's like three degrees of awesomeness you got. Why can't I have that?!
Jaune: Hey, lemme beg your finest fucking pardon?! I think it has been extremely obvious that I did not intend to pursue three amazing women. They pursued me, and I got the scars to prove it.
Jaune: Not only that, we keep those relations strictly separate. I'm not so depraved to try and go for a three- or foursome with them.
Blake: That's because you're a coward! Fie, I say. Fie! It should've been me in such a position! Me!
Jaune: I'm telling Weiss and Winter.
Blake: Empty threat. They already know.
Jaune: Of course they do. And pray tell, how exactly are they dealing with that depraved little fact?
Blake: ~Exquisitely~ The Schnee bloodline expresses possessiveness in oh-so spicy ways.
Jaune: Fucking hell... you're terrible.
Blake: Terribly happy, yes. And satisfied most thoroughly.
