Hi! So sorry if you've answered this question before, or if it comes off as offensive, but,, I know that the term "m*dget" is extremely offensive, and as such, I was wondering if it's one that's ever reclaimed? Are there people with dwarfism who self-identify as such, like the way some gay people (myself included) self-identify as fags, or is it just not done? I'm asking purely out of curiosity, I find it interesting to see what terms get reclaimed by the communities they targeted and which ones don't.
Hello! Not at all! There certainly are little people who use the word m*dget to describe themselves, in the same way some gay people choose to reclame the f word or some people of colour reclaim the n word. But the term is still highly offensive to the rest of the community who haven't reclaimed it - so I suppose it's a case by case situation.
I personally have not reclaimed the m word, as for me it wouldn't be a reclamation of power, but a conformity to violence and self deprication.
Hope this helps :) - Elliot
Was it always like this? All those agonizing chats where Yoosung lamented never having a girlfriend, was it just because he was completely oblivious. Saeran watched, eyes narrowed and jaw tight.
The short brunette giggled, her green eyes crinkling behind her stupid pink glasses. She kept adjusting her ivory colored peasant blouse I such a way that Saeran was sure was enhancing her ample assets. He didnt have a clear view as their backs were to him.
Whatever they were discussing sure had Yoosung animated. The woman placed her immaculately manicured fingers on the blonde and languished there, caressing his arm. Saeran's blood began to boil. He took a step forward trying to keep his temper in check, but the whore was making it difficult. And what the hell was wrong with his boyfriend allowing that much familiarity?
"Yoosung?" He hissed. The woman's eyes flew wide with fear as she jumped away fro. The blonde as if she'd been electrocuted. Saeran let that visual linger in his mind.
"Saeran!" Yoosung's smile cut through his face as he threw himself at his boyfriend. Arms clung to Saeran's shoulders as he pressed his slender body against him. His eyes lit up and Saeran's anxiety faded.
Yoosung captured Saeran's lips and melted into him, both breathing heavy and feeling heady. Saeran sighed and gave into the passion he was receiving.
i think its kind of interesting to see the differences in cap and changjo when their circumstances are similar, but none the less i think cap deserves a chance and people need to get over this old news. if you can forgive your idols for saying the n word and being racist with your entire body and soul when they still have a similar attitude you can forgive someone who's actions show change
I absolutely agree with you! Everyone’s faves fuck up, but they hate on other idols like their faves are absolute angels incapable of sin. We have all made some stupid mistakes in the past but no matter how much you tell a person to be careful of something, unless they fall and get hurt, they’re not going to learn.Everyone makes mistakes, we’re just human beings. Like I said, if they apologize and never make the mistake again, and also admit that it was wrong, then we should just forgive them and move on.

i know that the term “precious bean” is used as a term of affection amongst american english-speaking circles, but “beaners” or “bean-eaters” is actually a derogatory term for the Latino community that’s been widespread since the 1960′s.
I only came upon this recently myself, and I just wanted to let you guys be aware of this in order to prevent any disconnect or unintentional offense from those of us in the non-Latino parts of Tumblr fandom.
I also saw @chocoblondie‘s response to this and I think it’s an interesting point that kinda adds to the confusion when censoring works and knowing what to censor: language discrepancies. Because the truth is that a word acting as a slur in one language might not in another. I have a few examples of this from my own language as well, although most of them has been changed in recent years as English grew in popularity. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to language and just words and the power that they hold, so I find these kinda things fascinating. And as for your question: Yes, indeed I have! That scene in particular has been on my mind for several days now and I just need to get it out. I already have it sketched out in comic form, but I wanted to figure out what kinda clothing would be appropriate for them to wear in this kinda setting first. I might change them a little bit though, like make Ardyn look more like a priest.
The Word "Bihari": From Identity to Insult - A Journey of Stigma and Stereotypes
In the vibrant and diverse cultural mosaic of India, regional identities often carry distinct markers. For the people of Bihar, however, the term “Bihari,” originally intended to denote someone from the state of Bihar, has evolved into a word laced with condescension, stereotype, and prejudice. Over time, it has become a term of derision, often used to belittle and stigmatize the people of this landlocked state. But how did this once-neutral adjective transform into a slur? Let’s take a deeper look at the journey of the word "Bihari" — from identity to insult — and why it continues to pinch salt on an already open wound...read more
