Last semester I had the honor to take over Prof. Alice Chi’s fourth semester at Pforzheim University. We started the semester with a two-day workshop in which the students breathed new life into discarded printed materials: the material, taken out of context, is forced to make new statements through rearrangement, alienation, and adaptation. Through the exchange of intermediate states, the resulting works build on each other and are assembled into individual publications at the end of the workshop.
