last night i dreamt that i worked for the local railway station, and there were lots of fun locomotives zooming by.

at one point, a red three car desiro with yellow doors stopped. i was confused at first, because they can only collect 3 kV DC current, and thus normally only drive in slovenia. but i guessed maybe they had 25 kV AC equipment installed in the meanwhile, so they could work internationally, for some reason. nevertheless, i was happy to see a pretty train like that.

i peeked inside, and instead of the usual grey with colourful spots, the seats were blue with grey headrests, more like those of a stadler flirt. at one end of the car, seats were arranged like a corner sofa of some kind, but it looked cute, very cozy for a long journey with friends, thoughtfully designed.

interesting how i can just dream things, like trains i've seen lots in pictures but never in person.

Here's some pictures that I meant to upload earlier this month but I never got round to it. These were taken at Wemyss Bay station, Inverclyde, Scotland, June 2019. For those interested, the train is a Siemens Desiro (class 380) in ScotRail livery.
